What i do with my air fryer is I put it on 30 min but set a timer of the cook time on my smartphone this way if i need more cooking time I have it already without the air fryer starting over again heating up.
Great idea! I do that all the time. Set the timer to whatever was suggested on the video, the time elapses and the cooker stops. Nope, not done (for me)....gotta restart the machine all over. This makes sense. I just gotta remember to set the timer on my phone!
AFS is real good I like it....but it kinda looked the fryer couldn't firm up the bottoms, could you have flipped them for a couple minutes after the initial 10...looks like it set up enough (I have no experience or own a AF) Great Vid 😀
@@CookingWithRy well I did it tonight, the silicone basket has ridges and grooves. All the bacon grease collected in the outer most well. My only issue is my cheese melts out of some of my peppers.

@@CookingWithRy called an audible and used Merguez instead (French lamb sausage). Somehow my leftover pork disappeared suspiciously at the same time as my girl had a few friends over for tacos and wine at lunch. 🤣 Edit: still delicious. Happy you put the idea in my head!
I’d recommend adding shredded cheddar cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper to the filling.

This is the first thing I made in my air fryer. Wish I knew to wear gloves cutting up jalapenos at the time!
Just don't scratch the wrong place after cutting jalapenos without gloves. Don't ask me how I know :)

I like the honey and Chile idea. I use real bacon bits (Store bought) mixed in my cheese mix...also I use whipped cream cheese. Air fryer works great.
I did some bacon wrapped peppers, cream cheese with dove breasts and the came out great! 370 for 13 minutes.
Little tip if you want that smoke flavor and you're cooking in an air fryer, use Liquid Smoke in your mixture.
We make a version of these but use meat church voodoo spice and they are smokin😊
something I've always wondered... why preheat the airfryer if you're going to have it open so long when loading it?
It was the recommended method. I think having the heating element not come from a cold start likely helps with cooking time.

Can you air fry the poppers in a silicone basket placed on top of crisper tray?

Roughly the same temps and cooked until the bacon is as done as you like it :)
