I was in London for the first time a few years ago, having flown in to Gatwick from Toronto. I took the train from the airport to Victoria. I was tired, jet-lagged and miserable. Then suddenly, the train emerged from a tunnel and I was staring at Battersea Station. Best "worst to first" moment of my life.

i love that you post videos of a decent length. So many RUclipsrs upload tonnes of 3 minute videos. 20-40 minute videos are great.
*tons
Aidan Sweeney No, it's tonnes.
Aidan Sweeney We speak proper english Mr American, none of that slang shit
Yeah Boi

After watching you play this game for many many hours over the past number of months i finally went ahead and brought it along with a number of DLC and i am really enjoying it much more than i thought i would if i am honest.
so yet again thank you Paul for getting me in to another great sim for my collection.
Lazy Bastard Hi, after watching Assetto Corsa--ETS2--Kerbal--TSM15--i brought them all and will be getting FSX very soon.
Lazy Bastard Thank you, i have been using MSflight sim 2008 or is it 2009 i cant remember for years until recently when i was forced to move away from Vista and on to windows 7 and it would not work any more........BUT now i have a PC with some grunt to it (i5 running at 4 gig) i can treat myself to the more involving up to date simulators and oh yes bring on project cars & ATS cant wait lol.

Whenever My parents and I hear/see a cop car with it's sirens going, we say "cup of tea's going cold at the station" lol
Thom K 2 ok
Thom K lol
That’s not even funny
ok
OH YES! I played this route dozens of times, one of my favourite short routes in case of boredom.
Bought it now a bit because of you (but I was already considering to buy another TS2015 DLC :) ) So thank you :D Amazing! And great video!
It's 4:30am in Finland I'm stuck with watching these your Railway Simulator videos cause I'm hoooooked!
Thanks for the vid squirrel. I got this from Steam this week as well but haven't played it yet .... so a nice introduction for me as to what to expect! Looking forward to your "big announcement" details vid over the weekend! #YOTS #DoyleForPM
Great video Squirrel! :) I really enjoyed watching it :)
Could watch Paul play this game for hours! Anyway Paul, These kind of trains have been running our local line for years where I live & just last week they've scrapped them all and got new more advanced ones in, Sad to see them go :(
Hahaha - The van man! That was funny. Nice side-story going there. I enjoy these video - relaxing, nice commentary. Interesting that the distance is in miles, though the scenario is un UK.
4:39 Thank Goodness for that! I was in pain when they demolished the good old Wembley ...
Paul, get the class 321 Addon from Armstrong Powerhouse. It is £15, but it is worth it, as it is so much better than the Dovetail one. Comes with 15 liveries and sounds from the real train. It's one of the most immersive, fun and realistic packs available. Hope you get it.
Great to see another train sim video!! :D
Hi squirrel, i've actually been from south bermondsey to london bridge and back before and i was surprised by how similar it looked. Also when you said that you thought it was the shard at london bridge as you were arriving, it is the shard. I actually got on the train from london bridge at p16 and it was pretty much the same. Just thought i'd let you know.:-)
Loved it, so accurate
Made me laugh when you overshot the station and said the passengers would just have to get on the rear doors... I've never seen that happen on a real life train :)
These trains are now used on South West Trains between Guildford and Ascot and the route is now part of London Overground. That is the Shard outside London Bridge Station and you can also see City Hall on the right as you come in.
Thanks m8 keep up the good work
Thank you I was wondering whether to buy this or not thanks awesome video.
Love ur vids keep it up
Love your videos Squirrel, with your outside view, if you keep an eye on the map every few seconds to check the speed coming up, look at the exclamation mark with the yellow and black stripes, because it's the AWS warning on the outside view, and because it doesn't make an alarm sound you have to keep an eye on it in order to clear it before the emergency brake kicks in.
He's always too busy looking at the scenery to actually drive the train :P
Exactly why he needs to stop looking at the scenery so much
Christopher Pattie Agreed, I don't think he needs to always do everything 100% correctly but some level of competence with train sim would be nice.
John Dennis yes that would be nice
I live next to Clapham High Street! Nice to see it .
brilliant video you have another sub
More videos like this please!!
This service doesn't exist any more, incidentally. London Victoria to London Bridge inner south London was replaced by Clapham Junction to Highbury and Islington on the Overground in about 2012/13.
Color me surprised. A vid from Squirrel on YT.
Please take the next 40 minutes of my life free of charge.
Love this route.
Nice :D Do the London Overground =)
I live on the line to Peckham rye and believe it or not, it looks half decent in detail! 😄
Impressed that at Bermondsey station they actually had Millwalls football stadium and actually realistic surrounding areas
I would love it if you did the southeastern trains (yellow and white themed trains that you could see in this video). That's the train I get every day and I would be cool to see it in game. :P
I spent years commuting from Kent to Victoria and Cannon Street til I moved to Greenwich and commuted to Charring X. Its quite nice seeing the track from a forward perspective. However London Bridge looks very different now with the upgrade I'm sure once complete someone will edit it, I doubt there is much point modelling it in like it is right now
These Class 456s units are now with South West Trains, they left Southern a few months back
WOOOO! More OMSI AND TRAIN SIM! THE BEST!
Nice Route choice
This is the best thing to watch when hungover.
oh so thats what they are doing with battersea power station. I always wondered because they have been doing work on it for like 5 years now.
u r back!
This route looks nice. I like the destination boards also. Wish they allowed announcements.
Hey Squirrel, do you play through these prior to filming to find all the bugs and broken scenarios?
Now the overground took over in Christmas 2012 from Dalston Junction to clapham junction via Surrey Quays and Wandsworth road
If you combine the bell and the horn, you get the two tone of the train
Thing that bugged me most from the off, is that no southeastern services run from Clapham junction/ battersea park!
Do some more fsx please, love your videos :)
The Junction near Wandsworth road was the old Eurostar to Waterloo
Hi squirrel massive fan keep up the grat vids and when will you upload some more ets. Keep being awesome.
Traveling into Victoria from Croydon before 9 (when it is incredibly busy) the trains are very often only 2 carriages long. I've never heard a decent explanation why, but that just seems to be what they do.
When I saw a new video, I liked (before watching) then said YESSSSSSSSSSSS! Hope you also upload excellent videos of The Forest, and, of course, ETS2.
You are the best
As a South London resident, this route annoys the hell out of me, but damn the stations are accurate.
YAY TS IS BACK =P
Mmmmm Battersea Powerstation. See it everytime I listen to Pink Floyd's Animals. I'm not too familiar with it's history, so i can't say thats directly how it became a famous landmark, I'm sure theres other reason. Beautiful looking structure. Would love to see it in person.
I love ur videos
u are the first comment here.
gratz.
Everytime you come up to a red light, like at the start, press tab, that will tell you if its safe on not, in order to go past red.
We need constant videos. Euro truck , anything truck
It's so weird seeing the old London Bridge station now lmao
Hey squirrel, great video! Also if you like the Unreal Engine 4, check out- "Titanic: Honor and Glory" It looks stunning!
I saw a class 456 on SWT at vauxhall coupled to a 455 yesterday
probably problems getting the right classes from the depots.
They were transferred from Southern a few months back to South West Trains, they have been refurbished too
Just a question, but why the lack of videos lately Squirrel? Been a subscriber of yours for a longggggg time. Just wondering what's up?
Isn't battersea power station a listed building? How can they put shop etc in it?
Like your video i was mad because you never made noon more
I know who's the geezer in Peckham Rye... Harry Treadaway waiting to get to the bank robbery ;)
There was lots of trains going in and out of Victoria, is it that busy in real life? cause I’ve never been to London just Manchester & Blackpool
I miss when he made a crap ton of train sim
OMG wow, I take this train to College every day!...
Queens Road Peckham aha
Do you live on the Lee Valley Line's because that's the only way to get to Liverpool St via the overground is the Chesunt Enfield and Chingford Lines
I thought the cop car was my TV in the background!
19:55 Oh crikey, it's the rozzers
Hi Paul just wanted to know when are you doing you full time announcement video?
Paul, why weren't using TrackIR. unless you recorded this before that update
Lol just posted this comment then he talks about the update supporting it. Still why weren't you using it
Used this line a lot...its one of the slowest in the world and now they've rammed ten car trains on to iy
That's going to Clapham Junction
at 7:46 some guy just walked over/hovered over the tracks
awsome
Shouldnt the southern trains be on the LL platforms and the Southeastern and the Thameslink be on the UL platforms?
PS Bermondsey is pronounced BUR MONDSEE
Now in Steam this DLC is 70% off. After watch your video, I think that I gonna take it.-
This is an appropriate level of voice. The other channel mumbles too much and it's really hard to hear. My Mom loves your accent.
From Queens Road, the stops are really short
You think they will port all their stuff over to the unreal engine? Cause it is my understanding that quite some DLC packs already don't work with the current version of Train simulator. So if they didn't bother making them work with TS15 then i doubt they will for a new version. Wouldn't they just make a new start (hopefully less DLC heavy)?
I wish they would release update packs.. Multiple scenarios and tracks/trains.. for 10-15 bucks. I'm not spending 20-40 bucks for a train and a few scenarios.
sirkus34
Agreed, its insane the pricing they have for their DLC. I don't buy any DLC for trainsimulator unless there is a huge discount going on. But so far only bought 2 or 3 dlc packs all for cheap.
It's a bit insane that most tracks and trains cost me more then a actual train ride trough half of my country.
Jorendo I can't honestly see Dovetail porting the old DLC over. It will be a fresh start imho.
Happy days new vid
they need to do london to portsmouth line :)
Squirrel
Can you do the London Victoria to Bogner Regis OR Brighton
I love these simulation games never tried a train simulation game might give it ago.
when i first started to play simulation games i really liked them..now too.
Renault Magnum I use to play simulation games many years ago mainly the flight ones when home computers where very basic overtime I went onto the console gaming but now I find myself looking at these sort of games and my pc is much better than my first pc which was a zx81 lol.
You just missed the sale ... it was 85% off on Steam earlier this week.
HanzsKlopek No way I need to check steam out more often.
the coaches amount is the same as Manchester northern rail almost all the time
i find some trains are hard to control the speeds to stop on time
Do London to Brighton please
The 456 is a very old train and uses motors form the 1940s so it uses the motors from the trains it replaced because br were very poor
+Squirrel What DLC is that? As I'm wondering to buy that as I like that train and scenario! pls reply!
south london network, its on steam :)
Were I live we have virgin trains, freights and 313 and 377
Added new models
I will give you Munich to garmsmth and the train that it comes with for this route and everything it comes with
It sounds like the dart in Ireland
Sleepy Squirrel.
Wow its so realistic
Go to steam/library/train simulator/properties/set launch options, and then put in "-SetFOV=90" trust me mate this will make it look alot more realistic :)
Thnx
Sebastain Harvey you,re welcome
Something I truly don't understand... You being a fairly intelligent youtuber, building PC's and troubleshooting games, mods and applications, Doesn't understand why any 32bit application can't adress more than 4 GB ram, therefore a game like TS 2015 never ever benefits of your "16 Gig o' ram"
PS: hiding any mousecursor is a piece of cake... via registry editor.. all you have to do is create a new Dword value using this registryadress and setting: [HKLM\Drivers\Display]
cursor=dword:0
He needs for running smoothly during livestreams, I guess.
AsboJunior Doesn't make sense in any way. A 32bit application IS a 32bit application and will never be 64bit, therefore never benefits from anything above 4GB ram. Sidenote: when windows is running, it's even less what (in this case) TS2015 can adress, it's not the only 32bit app up and running, therefore the amount of ram the game can adress is even less than that initial 4GB
GTI1dasOriginal That must be a windows specialty then, but I don't think that even MS is so dumb.
I don't think he bought 16GBs for trainsims but such a high RAM amount is fairly practical in many scenarios:
- comliling software
- much multitasking with parallelised processes
- rendering
and ofc. games.
the latter 3 would fit here, and windows claiming it's own huge amount of the cake 16GB is a *comfortable* way to go. It's probably some laziness too - not wanting to need to upgrade every few years or so.
Anoni Mouse please, don't make this into an argument...... It's just how a 32bit structure works.. besides I've got 4x4GB ram myself, anyone who also does knows it is always going to be a (this kind of) problem.. Again.. explained: The use of those programs or scenarios you mention or anyone uses (also me included) only works if everything used at that moment has a 64bit based softwarestructure. So if for instance you'd use fraps in 32 bit while doing one of those things, it "eats up" the memory ammount from that first 4 GB available, if another foreground app runs, (in this case being TS2015) therefore when it would in the end even "run out", (hence: not being able to use the remaining memory) it WILL (when the sourcecode of the program / game is correctly written) use pagefile which is usually on a slow hdd. So, result: loadingtimes scenery, hickups or (in case bad design software) crash. It's unavoidable.
Hi could u possibly do some more FSX
R u going to continue underground London simulator
Fantastic video. Btw, when the new game engine comes out, will Steam make us purchase the whole game over again???
