How to make White Chocolate Brownies | Lizzy Hodgins

- One pot, super easy, fudgy white chocolate brownies!
INGREDIENTS:
125 gms butter
1 block of white chocolate (180gms)
1 egg
1 can condensed milk (395gms)
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
1½ cups all-purpose (plain) flour
(icing sugar, for dusting)
METHOD:
1. Preheat oven to 170 degree celsius or 350°F. Line a medium sized slice or brownie tin with baking paper and set aside.
2. In a medium saucepan, combine butter and white chocolate. Melt over a low heat until completely melted.
3. Turn off the heat and add remaining ingredients; egg, condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt, flour, stirring to combine. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
4. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. It should be slightly brown around the edges. Don't overcook as they will still set and cook further whilst resting out of the oven.
5. Remove from oven, allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer the brownies out of the pan, cut and place onto a cooling rack.
6. Dust with icing sugar and enjoy! I recommend a yummy english breakfast tea or a tall glass of cold milk to accompany it ;)

I just made them and they taste SO WONDERFULL!
I think the icing sugar on top was a bit too much, they are really sweet.
But the texture is fluffy and nice and they are perfect with a cup of tea/coffe or ice cream, I am totally making them again.
This looks absolutely super delicious. I will definitely try to make this at home. I am going to use cream butter instead of normal butter and put some honey and vanilla pudding in the mix.

I actually made white brownies but my grandma called them Whitey's. I use the recipe for brownies without adding the chocolate but I use a bigger container so I had to cook it twice as long. It turned out all right except some parts were hard

what is the equivalent american measurement for grams that I should use? ounces?
captainblue150 yes :) there's a converter on google that will help you figure it out. 125gm is just a bit over 1 stick of butter I believe. I spent some time in the US and got very used to working out the butter conversion. Hope you enjoy them!
what brand of white chocolate do you use?
I live in Australia, not too sure where you are :) But I use Cadbury Dream white chocolate :) Lindt is also good!

Yes it will!

Probably not the consistency no, but i'm not sure if they would look amazing with food colouring :)

jesus d no they won’t :) just pop them in an air tight container- they usually last me about 5 days. I like to warm them slightly in the microwave before I eat them as well. They’re best eaten warm :)

No you can't i'm sorry, the condensed milk is a wet ingredient so it can't be substituted for sugar. The brownies wouldn't have their fudgy texture.
Are you using sugared condensed milk? The stuff i bought is not so sticky and dense like yours.

MarieJo Louis the condensed milk acts as two thing, the sweetener and the thickener. So you can substitute them with sugar and flour. Since you’re using white chocolate already, I would only add a tiny bit of sugar. As with the flour you should not go more than 70gr. Or it will be too cakey. Go even less for a fudgier texture.
Edit: whoops my bad it is not a sweetened condensed milk. So just add flour and other form of dairy product like butter or milk.

I know Moxies white chocolate brownie consist of 3 ingredients: a cake or white chocolate brownie and then vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and a brownie so I'm assuming they just make a cake or white chocolate brownie and then they pour scope of vanilla and chocolate syrup and big chunk of brownie on top of it. Hope I'm right.

I'm a white chocolate nut so I'll be trying these soon. And I gotta say, that voice and that calm background music work so well for this video. It's better than any other cooking video I've ever seen. It's not high-energy, spastic and annoying like alot of other videos. You should do a 4-Course Meal with that music. Heck, you could even read bedtime stories. I'd listen in.

No I'm sorry, the condensed milk is a sticky consistency, it's the only thing you can use.
