I agree 100% with little Caesars pizza! I moved two years ago and there’s none in my area and it’s terrible! Whenever I go back home I drive past one, and I always stop to get a pizza for the road!

Not in the OC but if you venture into the best IE pizza joints I would recommend Lou Eddie’s in Skyforest up in the San Bernardino mountains. Can be cold up there and the wait can be pretty long but some of the best pizza I’ve ever had.

if you don't mind the ride....Palo Mesa Pizza, in Arroyo Grande (Traffic Way and Branch St), uses a custom wood fired oven (based on a type he found in Italy), and builds their pizza's from scratch using absolutely fresh ingredients prepared that day. From start to being on your table is about 10 minutes. Pricey, but the best pizza I've ever had. They have won numerous international first place awards at pizza competitions. Yes, there is such a thing. Tiny little place, but they have tables outside too.
There's a 2nd Palo Mesa in San Luis Obispo, but they use a regular pizza oven, but still better than any other pizza in town.
