    Here I am sharing my vulnerable self. Venting to you of what I have been going through lately, not to seek sympathy, rather to create awareness of how being a nurse affects my mental health. I’m sure it’s not only me going through this phase. Remember you’re not alone. We can get through this. Never quit! 💪💪💪

    Always remember you cannot please everyone. You are not everyone’s cup of tea. There will always be someone not happy with how you do things. Nevermind them. Never let it affect you. But there will be times you cannot help and you may snap. It is really really hard not to react negatively when you are being thrown all these harsh words. You sometimes feel overwhelmed with emotions. You feel you are not paid enough to be abused like that. We are all human beings after all. The good thing about working with dementia people they forget right away. I wish sometimes we could be the same. I feel you sis. ❤ Even when efforts seem unrecognized, do your duty diligently anyway, do your best anyway. You will be rewarded jn other ways. I always believe in good karma. The good you do to others will come back tenfold. Be strong sis. I am praying for you.

    Hi Corr, I’ve been nursing since 2017 and have had an incredibly difficult 12 months in my career. I was ready to step away from the profession until I secured a nursing position with an agency, specialising in nursing and care home nursing. I was terrified in return to clinical practice until I watched your RUclips channel. You have shown me what genuine nursing and care is and you have inspired me to be brave and be vulnerable too. This profession is stacked against us in so many ways when all we want to do his care and nurture people at some of the most challenging times of their existence. You have not only strengthened my practice, but boosted my confidence in working in a care home environment. Thank you for being real. ❤

    A drop in the ocean of what you might need I know you to be an excellent nurse who does her things according to the book you put your heart in it and since I started my job there you were the first person to put me at ease. Your unit is excellent and residents there are blessed to have you there looking after them. If only people knew your level of dedication you put they will see how much it takes. All I can say everything is going to be fine corr keep on keeping on.

    I can relate with you and the way you get treated sometimes i know difficult sometimes. I'm a filipino too married with an English man. When you do good things, they'll be praising you but when you make mistakes it seems like all those good things you've done are all gone even when you only made honest mistakes, and mostly they have very short temper. I told myself not being emotional with my husband but sometimes it's extremely hurtful the way he speaks to me. On the other hand he's a good husband and he gave everything all my personal needs including my future, so I thought im only human makes mistakes sometimes. Do not get intimidated with them, this is just an example of their attitude in my experience. Take care be strong. God bless

    Hug to you from a fellow UK nursing home nurse. Some days are just rubbish hun and its totally ok to be upset and cry. I worked in hospital 15 years before going to nursing homes, it can be just as stressful. In A&E patients can be rude, aggressive and lovely all in the same 5 minutes😂, relatives too. Keep strong, you are so sweet. I have subscribed x x❤

I have been following you here on youtube since 2021, I know you are such a bubbly and genuine person, been watching all of your informative vlogs of being a nurse in the home care. Dili lalim mahimong nurse uy, pero kay this is our choice and calling, we are known to be tough in all aspects, kasabot kos imo kaagi kay na experience pod nako na sa dialysis area. Ako pod dali rako mahiubos to the point na masking maglalis na akoa thoughts not to overthink, pero dili gyud maka overthink gyud hahaha. Ganahn kaau ko nimo kay mainspire ko maningkamot skoang OET puhon2 unta maka exam nako this year ug dili busy uy.lavern lang maam Korr, we all love you, pagsulay rani na lumalabay ra to help us grow. Always pray and been rooting for you. Godbless you maam korr lablab #hugs 🙏💪🥰❤

      Your message is so heartwarming Katen. Ayaw na pag maam, dili na uso kapag dito kana sa UK hehehe. I’m so touched sa imong message. That’s true di jud lalim mag nurse labaw na sa Pinas kay dili ta well-compensated, at least kung abroad bawi ra sa mga insulto ug kahago ang sweldo so medyo okay nalang haha. Godbless sa imong journey as a nurse wherever you may go🙏

    Maybe you should look for other options in your field , I have seen several videos of nurses not recommending nursing homes and mostly bad experiences .No one has the right to insult someone for whatever reason. If its costing you your mental health then it's not worth it. Physical stress is one one thing but mental and emotional abuse is another.

    • @CorrBinoya
      @CorrBinoya  Год назад +2

      I appreciate your thoughts Kamran. Don’t get me wrong, I do like my job. Either I work in hospital or nursing homes or whichever field, stress is inevitable. It’s just that I want this video to serve as an eye-opener.

    • @kamran.i

      @@CorrBinoya your point came across very well and I feel for you , it's just that there have been alot of such videos regarding caring homes that I have seen specially about residents being abusive and stuff , as an aspiring nurse wanting to come to UK this has held a very bad image of nursing homes in my mind I know as nurses we are prone to stress and such incidents but nursing homes put you in a position where you come across such situations every now and then . I salute you for your courage but again if its costing you your mental health never give it a second thought.

    • @CorrBinoya
      @CorrBinoya  Год назад +1

      @@kamran.i you won’t get the same level of stress everyday, it’s just that there are times you want to explode. I don’t want to discourage people to work in nursing homes, ‘coz believe me, I have practice my nursing judgement very well and my pr skills since I worked in a care home🙂
