I have watched a thousand of these videos online this evening trying to figure out of my capacitor is dead in my HVAC, and this is the best illustrated and most helpful video online. It is just a shame I did not find it earlier. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Fluke 16 is a great multi-meter. I have had one for years and it is still going strong.

I believe they were the first to make a meter that I could not break. Most of the commercial meters are protected now but I get your point.

I hate that fluke stopped making the 16!I have one that i use every day.I bought a 116 but never really liked it.Enjoyed your video.
There are "cheaper" meters out there that are viable for commercial usage. As to the very cheap meters, they are ok for the homeowner that uses them occasionally in some cases. But continued use every day as a tech would do, will damage the meter and be dangerous for the user. Check the meter playlist on my channel. Hope it helps.

Hey Gray.. this is a noob question. Can we use the Common on the furnace control board when checking for 120v ac throughout the furnace?
The voltage on the Ohm side is the LoZ setting it's used to eliminate ghost voltages if you have induced interference from other circuits it provides a Low 2 K resistance it shouldn't be used on control circuits

You skipped continuity which is a function on the diode setting. Poor oversight.
Is the ac symbol called a sine wave or skwiggly line?? Plz use grown up language sir
