If you're still a wilderness ranger, please please please make more videos!!! I have been looking for exactly this, trying to get a feel for what it'd be like being a ranger out there in the wilderness. And you were right; nothing like this exists on youtube, even still. Bring it back!!

I wish I had more qualified and experienced network around me to explain this to me. I get the simplicity in which he explained it which is fine. However, I wish I could understand how to judge the market to determine if I should buy a home in a particular area. I really want to build generational wealth, I just wish I had proper circles of experience to educate me.
The internet is always a source, but having a qualified and experienced mentor personally is hard to find. I wish I knew the avenues to establish these connections of endless knowledge.

Can you be a full-time, year round interpretive park ranger? I don't really want to be a LEO Park Ranger unless I have to :(

It all depends on location and agency. In my state, we're all maintenance/operational/project-based rangers who have a bachelor's degree in some field. With usually one interpretive ranger per popular park. In other states, the rangers might all be LEO's. It differs state to state and state to federal. In South Carolina, where I am, you start as an assistant ranger and after some experience, you can move to one of the other 46 state parks we have whenever job openings arise. Assistant Ranger ---> Ranger I ----> Ranger II ----> Ranger III -----> Asst. Park Manager ----> Park Manager. But some small parks may only have one ranger and a park manager. All depends from park to park. For some, this next point may be a pro or a con but usually the best and sometimes only way to get promoted is to move to another park. For example, I'm at a very popular park where rangers usually spend their whole careers. Since I am an assistant ranger, I will have to move to another park for a promotion or wait a decade for someone to retire at my park lol.

To bad majority of these jobs are seasonal and it’s not a job in very high demand so getting a full time position is hard
