“you are the heart beating outside of my own body” that broke me. i didn’t expect to end a gameyy video while sobbing, but here i am. incredible as always
Everything about this was perfect, the story was just amazing. This makes me want to go work on my own diorama, you know what that’s what I’m going to go due. This looks so good.
Didn't expect Gamey Builds to bring tears to my eyes, but here we are! Absolutely amazing. The story, the craftmanship, the detail and love behind this is outstanding Please never stop building these, you are an inspiration to me and i'm sure, many others
The diorama and builds within are excellent, but the thing I appreciate the most in the narration is the very honest acknowledgment that HOURS of work, and LOTS of failures go into a smooth, "effortless" edited 20 minute video. It comforts us out here watching; you (and many other wonderful RUclips artists) are incredibly talented, but also hardworking, and your success isn't effortless. Our struggles aren't necessarily from a lack of talent or creativity. In many cases, we are simply earlier along in the process. As a (now former) competitive athlete, I can say with first hand knowledge- excellence takes practice, patience, and persistence. It's inspirational to watch and draw from people that have already put the work into the hobby. Thanks!
This might be the best video I've seen on RUclips. The build is fantastic and the story is truly moving. I watched this on my TV and had to find it on my phone just so I could comment. That's how much I enjoyed it. You can tell GB loves their hobby. The fact that North of the border is a patron tells you everything you need to know about the quality of this channel.
I'm not sure if such high praise is deserved, but it certainly is appreciated! And yes, I am very grateful for North of the Border's support over the past few months!
Since watching the originals A New Hope as a child I've been in love with droids. All of your droids give me the same feeling. They have soul and beauty. I am so glad I recently foudn your channel.
Amazing build and story. My wife just watched it for the first time and cried her eyes out. You are awesome crafter but your stories is just the next level.
I adore the little notes of warmth and humanity you invest into your stories. Fine proof of the love and conviction you have for every aspect of your "Beyond the Blight" builds.
I love that the story is all starting to fall together and that you're connecting the videos together! Amazing build as usual, wasn't expecting the monitor lol keep it up man
Thank you for telling the viewers to be prepared to work hard on projects like these. Anything worth doing requires quite a bit of effort. I love your work, it's great to see an artist's world come alive. Thank you for sharing.
I know I'm late commenting by a year, but I've been watching through all of your builds. This one is by far one of the most heart wrenching. Like you had me crying over a diorama build. Every detail is fantastic and the story is the cherry on top
This was absolutely incredible. Everything from the build to the story to the narration was utterly amazing. The story itself nearly brought tears to my hardened face. Having only watched a few of your videos at this point, I can't tell you how much I would love to enthrall myself into assorted media that takes place in your world. From books, to film and video games - what a wonder it would be! Until then, I will satiate myself with a deep dive into your videos starting today. Thank you so much for sharing with us! You are truly multi-talented.
You somehow manage to make not only beautiful art in your dioramas, but also in the stories you tell. Through tear-filled eyes, I say you truly have a gift
Heart breaking! Your story is so real and sad that I forgot what I was watching until the story stopped and then I remembered that its a model and not real. I'm almost cross with you for making me feel sad, but this was brilliant, both the model and the story!!
I love the diy and upcycling aspect of your builds. These diorama channels are so cool, but I sometimes get thinking with how much new stuff is being used for them. Seeing how you take already existing things and breathe new life into them is inspiring.
I came here to learn about how to make things a little better. I left with tears in my eyes and a heart broken for Tak and Amira. I'm hoping you've done this droid treking with the child in other videos, or if not then that will be a future project to see their great escape away from that brutal life. Thank you for your time, your craft and your storytelling.
This was wonderfully done. You are bang on when you said that reimagining smashed items was hard. You are gifted in that aspect for certain. I’d love to see a small colony of survivors, untouched by the blight if that has not already been done.❤your work.
this actually made me tearup a little since i becabe a single father myself, caring for 2 kids without a mother. i love ur videos and story's! keepem uploading :)
I found this channel recently thanks to a random yt recommendation, I don't have words to describe how amazing you are. It have it all, the model is fantastic, with ton of attention to detail, re use crap and random things lying around, THE STORY behind, even the screen with little motions graphics. I LOVE IT, I became addicted to this channel. Hope sometime I became Patreon to help you. thanks you, it inspired me
Without the story, this would have been just another droid build. But that was no ordinary droid being built. It was a protector. Not only of a dream to keep the child safe but to keep the family line going.
Absolute next level stuff. I love the space that you left in this diorama. It isn’t cluttered which makes it seem spacious and gives the viewer insight into Tek’s(sp?) personality. That screen is one of the coolest features. It really brings the whole scene to life.
I love the story narration of "Remote Services", but I also love getting a glimpse into how you build these models. It makes me appreciate the effort and learned skill that goes into these dioramas.... It also convinces me that I need to simplify my life before I add another hobby to the list I already have. 😏I think it is best that I enjoy your videos, save up to be able to contribute to your Patreon and finish sewing that shirt that is still needs to be altered in shoulders. 😳
This is a gorgeous dio. I normally don’t watch long videos. I skip to the good parts but MAN!! I was glued and enjoying your story. Great job on the build and beautiful story. ❤
Wow. You are amazingly talented. Not only in crafting but in story telling!!! Never did I think I would cry while watching a crafting video. This channel is going to be BIG!!!
Didn't see that end coming and I cried my eyes out. Don't know if I should thank you or scold you for giving me all these pictures in my mind. But as with all great art, one is supposed to react, so I suppose it's the former. Thank you!
I am crying so much 😭 So glad I found your channel, I love the world you are building! And bonus points for developing a language, from a linguistics drop-out.
Again, your storytelling brings this build to life. You crafting is great, but your storytelling is superb. I would honestly love to hear you telling full length stories while watching a build on screen. Just you building while a 20 to 30 minute story is told.
I went into this thinking this is going to be cool. It was but I finished by crying my eyes out. Wow you truly know how to get people to continue watching. Amazing job mate
I love everything about this! Your videos are one of my favourite series on RUclips. Kitbashing looks like an incredibly fun but also veeery hard thing to do. I still cannot see anything until the artist primes the whole model. Cannot even imagine being able to do it.
Just try it! I'm willing to bet you'd be pleasantly surprised just how quickly 'bashing' some bits and bobs together will lead to a recognizable shape. You've quite literally evolved to be good at it! Worst case scenario: your trash is now in smaller pieces and some of it is glued together. Oh well..;)
By the time of the reveal at the end I was literally speechless and your story added alot to it and really brought it to life. Absolutely amazing work.
Look, buddy, I was just looking last night for some inspiration for my 40mm scratch build robots for some tabletop games. I wasn't supposed to get emotionally invested and watch handfuls of storytime build videos and enjoy this more than whatever my wife puts on the TV while I work. . . . Thank you.
Now that was really something! I'm always intrigued whenever I hear "Built from scratch" but I didn't expect this! A wonderful piece of work and beautifully presented. You just gained a subscriber.
i was so happy to hear the mention of just how much time and tedium it takes to do hobbies like this. it’s easy for someone to see cut down footage and feel like it was slapped together with no hassle at all but i know as an artist i’ll spend hours working on a drawing and still not really get it to the level of finish i want. it takes a lot of work, and that should be recognized as part of dedication, grief, AND joy of working on this sort of thing.
I love that you mentioned how much time and effort it takes to make one of these works of arts.. every time i watch one of these videos i always think it must have taken ages and to be able to take pieces from all over the place and make something completely new out of them is extremely fascinating.. idk if i make sense but these videos are amazing and we appreciate all the work that goes into making them
That was an amazing, emotional, heartbreaking story, you need to write a short film and have it animated,. This is one of the best storys I've ever heard ,please wright a book
I'm glad you mentioned the amount of work. Scratch bash and I were just talking about that same thing on IG. Hardest part is finding a balance btwn showing everything, or not enough. Awesome dio here! Love the use of the fire engine for a wall mounted arm!
Tedium is the main ingredient of any project worth doing. You know youre doing it right if you second guess yourself halfway through and finish anyway.
Holy Crap! You started telling the story and I was like, ok this is odd... I almost clicked away. But I left it on, and It straight up captivated me. Good job, love the diorama based worldbuilding. Make a audio book or something.
No way...the father's faithful and highly modified droid is KP 1301,carrying its master's son to a safe haven free from his benefactor's tyranny.
“you are the heart beating outside of my own body”
that broke me. i didn’t expect to end a gameyy video while sobbing, but here i am. incredible as always
What a beautiful addition to KP 1301s story.
Everything about this was perfect, the story was just amazing. This makes me want to go work on my own diorama, you know what that’s what I’m going to go due. This looks so good.
Go for it!
Amen
Didn't expect Gamey Builds to bring tears to my eyes, but here we are!
Absolutely amazing. The story, the craftmanship, the detail and love behind this is outstanding
Please never stop building these, you are an inspiration to me and i'm sure, many others

What you said ... just wonderful all around.
saaame and agreed I almost never cry to stories but waaaahhh that story is so heckin saaaddddd and im left bawlingg

Same here! I watched on my TV and went and got my phone off the charger to subscribe and comment.
Not only do you make an amazing diorama, but you also write a amazing short story to accompany it. Keep up the amazing work.
Working on the next one now!
@@gameyybuilds I can't wait
The story! 😢❤
Omg the build! And I love how the story connects this build to the previous delivery bot build!!!
Phenomenal 💜💜💜💜💜
Thanks! Trying to slowly connect some of the stories. It's a very immersive project, but super enjoyable to me.
Since watching the originals A New Hope as a child I've been in love with droids. All of your droids give me the same feeling. They have soul and beauty. I am so glad I recently foudn your channel.
Thanks! I love those classic designs too!
i kept it together until "you are the heart beating outside of my own body." this brought me to tears. you are wildly talented!
Amazing build and story. My wife just watched it for the first time and cried her eyes out. You are awesome crafter but your stories is just the next level.
Thanks man!
You are seriously a wizard at weathering! The brick walls, door and work bench simply came to life with history. I’m so pleased I found your channel
You and me both!
Really enjoyed the short story you wrote. Very touching.
I adore the little notes of warmth and humanity you invest into your stories. Fine proof of the love and conviction you have for every aspect of your "Beyond the Blight" builds.
Thanks!
Shut up! I’m not crying, you’re the one crying!
What an amazing build and lore!! Love this channel!!! Thank you Gameyy Builds!!❤❤
Glad you enjoy it!
I love that the story is all starting to fall together and that you're connecting the videos together! Amazing build as usual, wasn't expecting the monitor lol keep it up man
Thank you so much! I hope to link more of the stories as I go. As the world grows there will be more opportunities for this kind of thing. Stay tuned!
Yeah, that monitor with the looping graphics was awesome! I just wish you'd shown how that was done.
how peaceful - the diorama, the music, your thoughts
Oh wow this is a cool diaorama with a fun robot. Why am I crying?!?!
Thank you for telling the viewers to be prepared to work hard on projects like these. Anything worth doing requires quite a bit of effort. I love your work, it's great to see an artist's world come alive. Thank you for sharing.

The story attached to this had me crying by the end of it. Well done, both in writing and construction.
You somehow manage to make not only beautiful art in your dioramas, but also in the stories you tell. Through tear-filled eyes, I say you truly have a gift
The story and build are by far my favourites so far next to "Little Flea", it's really fun to listen to your world unfolding!
Holy........Moly........
This was the first Video of you I’ve ever watched. And wow. I’ll DEFINETLY be back for more
Ngl I cried at the story. The absolute selflessness of those final lines… dam
That story brought tears to my eyes...
Bro... You're a wizard. Holy hell. 😮
Now I understand the “other” build….cried a bit too. Such a wonderful build and the story
Beyond beautiful 🤯
Thanks so much, Ben!

Love reading all your comments, Tom!

New one coming this Sunday. Hope you enjoy!
Liked the build and was very pleasantly surprised by the story
Without the story, this would have been just another droid build.
But that was no ordinary droid being built. It was a protector. Not only of a dream to keep the child safe but to keep the family line going.
From one model builder to another what a creative person you are well done
Wow. Amazing. The story should be a movie in itself 👍
Absolute next level stuff.
I love the space that you left in this diorama. It isn’t cluttered which makes it seem spacious and gives the viewer insight into Tek’s(sp?) personality.
That screen is one of the coolest features. It really brings the whole scene to life.
Interesting thoughts about the empty space, I actually had some other things planned for that area like crates and a stool, but ran out of time.
@@gameyybuildsYeah, I thought that the only thing missing here was a stool or chair. Otherwise, this was beyond great!!
art can be difficult but when you reach the end, everything is worth it and I can’t wait for my ideas to come to life.
Just checked out your channel. You are one inspirational kid/young man. Looking forward to seeing what you create. Best wishes!
Absolutely love yr builds and storys that go with them

This is a gorgeous dio. I normally don’t watch long videos. I skip to the good parts but MAN!! I was glued and enjoying your story. Great job on the build and beautiful story. ❤
Thank you very much!
The combination of storytelling and the build, the diorama it self- is very entertaining, relaxing and escapes one to another reality.. well done!
You have some serious talent. Not just your model building skills, but as well as your story telling. Wow! This would make an awesome movie.
The story telling is next level, wish other makers would follow the lead and this level of detail to their video's.
Incredible! I love the Droid and all the weathering you did to everything. The screen is amazing! Very well thought out and put to life
I'm not crying, you're crying,! It's just droid dust in my eyes!

Get someone who works for Netflix down here right now. This deserves to be a series on TV
I am SO HAPPY to hear that someone else likes the painting process as much as me! I was beginning to lose hope lol

wow! this is one of the best things that i’ve ever watched. cheers.
The story for this build got me right in the feels, man. Not afraid to say I got misty eyed hearing it. Keep up the great work, Gameyy 🤙❤️
Thanks, Joseph!
The story nearly made me cry and the build looks amazing!!
That was a moving story, so good, but very sad. Great imagination. Thanks
I've been watching all of your videos for a few days. I don't know if I'm more.impreseed by the models, or the story. It's beautiful! Thank you!

Incredible well done. Love the build. Love the shortstory. Love how it ties together the delivery droid with this. It gave me chills. Thank you.
Holy shit dude. That story is incredible. This world should be turned into an rpg setting. Its so rich and unique.

I know that you are so precise…like a Swiss-Clockwork ⚙️⚙️⚙️ !
Beautiful, richly detailed and genuinely moving - totally absorbing.
That screen is amazing!! the amount of work you put into the animation that plays is awesome!!
This needs to be a tv show. Each episode tells the story of all of these dioramas and lasts like 20-30 minutes.
I have no other way of saying it other than this series is just so cool I've been so invested in the lore!
I’ve only ever kit bashed; never used or created a complete model or intact one before. It just makes more sense and is easier on my mind.
I'm glad you mentioned the amount of work. Scratch bash and I were just talking about that same thing on IG. Hardest part is finding a balance btwn showing everything, or not enough. Awesome dio here! Love the use of the fire engine for a wall mounted arm!

Just stunning. The huge improvement in quality from your early builds (already good) is just massive. That brick looks real.
I didn’t even get it at first, but the level of care makes more sense to me now. Calling back to your build 7 months previous is just perfect.
Holy Crap! You started telling the story and I was like, ok this is odd... I almost clicked away.
But I left it on, and It straight up captivated me. Good job, love the diorama based worldbuilding.

Well done one of my favorite new makers.
