Pretty sure the only reason Vegeta needed to take damage was because he had first learned it. With more experience he'd slowly grow stronger simply by being in combat... Just like the Gods of Destruction. Of which Beerus seemingly combined it with basic Ultra Instinct already.
The combination would just be broken. God tier power that can't be hit, but also gets stronger the more the fight continues because it enjoys battle. It would basically be the end of Dragonball because what could possibly defeat that other than Zeno? I cannot imagine a mortal character having any level of power high enough to defeat a god that's only getting stronger as the fight continues. The only reason Zeno could survive it isn't because of fighting skills, but just his ability to erase Gods of Destruction and their entire associated universe with a thought. Zeno could just think away Ultra Instinct Ego Vegito/Gogeta. Anyone under Zeno power? Useless. The angels and the Gods of Destruction wouldn't be powerful enough, and a mortal that isn't using god energy, such as Frieza, couldn't keep up. At that point, why even continue Dragonball? There is no possible plot that would be a problem anymore with Vegito/Gogeta outranking everything else.
I was thinking of the most deadly Dragon Ball villain team up. Here is what I got. Ultra Ego Goku Black Beast Baby Vegeta Black Frieza Perfect Cell Max Ultra Instinct Zamasu Also, if Vegeta knew kaioken could he use it in his Ultra Ego form to give him an infinite power boost or something like that? Because kaioken hurts you by my knowledge
Ultra fusion is “You can’t hit me but if you do I will become stronger” but not for B.Friezza , for a divine yes because the fusion will be Unstoppable

After bashing my head to level with Super's story, I can tell you fusion won't work. BUT ultra fusion, on the other hand, will due to some current story mechanic from less than 1 episode before it gets introduced as a concept.
Ultra Instinct avoids attacks, but it's not perfect as shown time again for Goku. So with Ultra Ego which powers up from taking damage, that means even if mistakes are made with UI the fusion will just get even stronger with UE which in turn makes UI stronger. It's a power loop hax.
If the fusion actually happened and somehow freeza was stong enough to land some blows it might make Vegto grow stronger too, So if he grows stronger in both cases, Man what a beast! unstoppable

Gogeta using UI/UE together would probably just be increasing battle spirit every time he dodges and counterattacks. UE is just using one's lust for battle to increase one's fighting spirit, so there's no reason it can't be fueled by the sense of arrogance and playful superiority that Gogeta usually displays while tearing apart his enemies.
Ultra Instinct can avoid nearly any attacks but in case Gogeta or Vegito gets hit Ultra Ego makes him stronger. In case they take too much damage they can use base god to heal. The healing factor of base god is something basically everyone forgot about. Both Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego can be used to a limited degree in lesser transformations, so they can revert to god to heal. This basically makes Gogeta and Vegito essentially invincible.
Gohan in the manga took goku out of mui with one attack(though goku was ready to continue fighting after) he still managed to make goku revert back to base form from taking a good deal of dmg
