Harbaugh coaching for the niners ran into similar issues and its why he was pushed out be our owner even with all his success. People don't remember how many injuries and how burned out our team was. We had a lot of players retire early. He treated players like they were college kids he could burn out for a couple years.

When you get no salary cap, sell snake oil to stupid high school kids, are backed by a huge SEC school, and the kids HAVE to play to stay in school or get drafted, it makes it SUPER easy. Basically he was allowed to lie to them, then when trapped, do whatever he wanted. Nobody was gonna stop him.

He played an intimidating terminator, that's how. College players have very little leverage. Look at the wrestling scandal at one of your noteable Ohio Universities. Nothing happened to the coaches! NOTHING. Took NFL players and coaches to end his reign of toxic harassment.

It was easy in college, he could bully and intimidate an 18 year old. Grown men were not going to put up with his bullshit in the NFL. With his psych, he was never going to last in the NFL.

I had a coach in high school who worked at Notre Dame with Meyer was there in the 80's. He said that Urban Meyer was the shadiest guy he had ever met in his entire life. When I reconnected with that coach 10-15 years down the road, towards the end of Meyer's tenure at Ohio State, he said "maybe he's gotten better, but I still stand by that statement."

There's something really bizarre about this whole meltdown. If he had a history of this outrageous, egomaniacal behavior going back to his time with Utah, Florida, and Ohio State, why has it never been heard of before? I'm not discounting the stories that are coming out about his time with the Jags last year, but what would cause such weird, disturbing behavior? My take is that it's entirely possible that he needs professional help with some type of mental health issue. But hey, if not, then he should reap what he has sown.

“Most generational talent since Andrew Luck” - Luck was drafted in 2012, Lawrence was drafted nine years later. That’s not a generation. That’s not even a decade. You can’t have more than one generational talent in a generation.
