    Requested cover and it also happens to be my favorite Pop Evil song too. I've known how to play this for a long time except for the solo which is pretty easy but a little whacky because the whammy pedal usage. I burned 3 takes by messing up this solo but managed to get Blackbird in one take... certainly not my best moment. Just was one of those days, ya know? ;)

      Any chance you’d ever upload the instrumental without the lyrics, looking everywhere for it but can’t find it lol

    Sick bro! I remember years ago when I covered this song...couldn't really tell what was going on with the solo to me it's a little deep in the mix. I ended up just doing some shit I thought sounded half way decent lmao. Awesome video.

      Yeah, this is one of those solos where as long as you get the gist of it, you kinda just wing the rest until it sounds decent lol. That's exactly what I did too. :p

      That's one of those songs I know but just haven't recorded yet. I would also like to do Deny Me from those guys at some point.

    Your sound is great, and I also really like your PRS haha :D are they typically playing in Drop C? I just saw them last night and thought the band overall was great.

      Thanks! I think they mostly play in Drop C# and Drop C. They've got some songs in Drop A# and Drop B too.

    Drop C tuning? I learned by ear and drop D worked

    • @MysticGuitar77
      @MysticGuitar77  Год назад

      There are numerous low C notes/chords in the song, in Drop D you wouldn't have that lower register to hit so you'd have to compensate and play parts an octave higher which ultimately would not sound accurate to the original recording. I mean it could work, sure, but the original recording is definitely in Drop C.

      @@MysticGuitar77 idk I learned by ear so I had to find the alternate notes and drop d sounded the closest to me.
