The Deftones are amazing. I find their haters ignorant about music, creative songwriting, and musical ability.
They sound like no one else and no one else sounds like them. Period.
Adrenaline is definitely their best album imo. Around the Fur is awesome and White Pony isn't too bad but nothing by them will ever be as good as Adrenaline. One of my favorite albums of all time. Engine no. 9, Bored, Root^, Nosebleed, Lifter, 7 words, AMAZING album \m/

this band used the def to their tones and that makes them so special among the other bands in the worlds.whoever want to try to different tones,my suggestion is listen to deftones.you guys rock!
deftones are by far the most influential band of the 90's/00's, period. i can't count how many awesome bands I've asked who their influences are & they'd all say deftones. don't know what the beef below me is about, but jonathan davis & chino are tight & have performed countless shows together. they're both good bands. korn's first album was sonically & psychologically ahead of its time; they just haven't moved on & evolved as much as deftones (ie. digital bath, passenger, etc)
The guitar riff from intro is just awesome. Every time I listen to Root it gives me a power and I want more and more Deftones. Thank you Chino, thank you Stephen, thank you Chi, thank you Abe - THANK YOU DEFTONES!

For the people that don't know; the guys from Korn and Deftones (I don't know now) are friends. For a matter of fact Chino was in the Korn song "Wicked" from there album "Life is Peachy" back in the day. But for in my opinion Deftones has kept my interest far longer than Korn ever did.

What do these bands have in common? They kick ass (even if you think LP and POD sucks).
@muslimmetalman i'm saying they are the true meaning of Nu Metal....many people think that nu metal is just rap metal or funk metal...nu metal is a fusion of heavy metal with other genres which doesn't have to include just rap or funk. Deftones' versatility and originality definitely shows people that nu metal is of many styles instead of just few.

The time the band takes away from composing is necessary time that they all need. When they come back to the game, they are better than ever.

What a song, best band ever! I tried uploading some deftones videos, and they all got taken down straight away. Maverick suck balls. RUclips wont damage sales, it just spreads the word. As a result, deftones have no presence on youtube, and are missing out. Glad you managed to get your video online, thanks!

I agree. Deftones are one of the greats from the 90's. They're unique and they rock. The latest album wasn't so great, though.. Chino's fault.. his songwriting makes it sound like his other band..

White pony was mixed and that's not a problem. White pony is excellent. But it doesn't have the same feeling. Non-heavy deftones can be very good, but the soft songs on white pony don't REMIND me of team sleep. The style just isn't the same if you compare white pony to SNW. Some of them on SNW are ok and I'm definitely happy it's not as electronic as team sleep. What I'm directing that at more is his singing / voice in SNW versuos white pony. Still can't wait for the next album heh.
