This song is my favorite from Koi No Yokan. The intensity, the power behind it, the lyrics..... It's a revolution song. Deftones have been my favorite band for more than half my life. I am proud.

There's no similar moment in my fandom of Deftones that I could compare his scream along with the entire band starting back up with that melodic and heavy as all fuck chorus. I stand by my opinion as a day 1 fan of the band along with never hating a song they ever wrote. Well, Pink Cellphone kinda sucks aside from the end. Hahaha

The meaning in this songs ridiculously good. I mean, the amount of people that just wear a mask these days and arent there true selves, who they really are astounds me. Most follow paths set by their parents or their peers, working in jobs they hate, working toward a seperate part of their life were paltry pleasures are what they work towards but have nothing real they base their lives on, their true inclinations squandered, left rotting inside them without ever blossoming because they choose not to nurture their own inner voice, their own inner desires toward what they are really in to. So sad. And this song just bats away at that telling people to open themselves up. Fucking amazing.

The scene was pretty huge. There were 100's of wanna be NU Metal bands that had copied LB and KOrn. I am not a fan of the style with the expection of Deftones who are fucking amazing. Korn, LP, LB, and Staind were all over radio and beating out Back street boys, Britney, and some other pop acts of the late 90's early 2000's on MTV. The scene didnt last as long as Grunge or Hair metal but it was pretty big for a moment.
they were never a nu metal band they were only playing with nu metal bands in festivals and became famous when nu metal came, they have their own style and yes they play alternative metal...
