Well it's a big update less because of the size of the content added but the fact it is an actual gameplay change, which is pretty rare. And I don't blame them for not adding more gameplay changes considering the actual gameplay itself is basically perfect

Been ddos'd and even straight up kicked back to main menu in high casual. Never in the near decade playing this game has this happened, and now it's every other session.

Can't even enjoy wacky casual sweaty lobbies without worrying about the party of fresh accs that start losing 0-3 immediately, only for the server to then get ultra laggy for me and my tm, leading to completely incorrect interactions, unfavourable 50s, whiffs, jumps not registering, etc. It ain't even cooked anymore, shit's burnt.

The drop rarity names changing was to try and confuse the player base and make people think that drops might be better and not just full of duplicate crap you get over and over again. Ha ha ha ha.
Unless these people have botnets or hundreds of computers, they aren't "DDOSing" the servers. A DDOS is a Distributed Denial of Service, not possible from a single host. The correct term is "DOS," or simply a Denial of Service. Calling it a DDOS is inaccurate, and could lead to a lot of developers not taking you seriously.

The "adjustment" to demos was that you can be demoed when YOU t-bone an opponent or get sideswiped.

It isn't just Ddos. It's bots. Too many players now can hide the fact that they can use AI to help them. It's close to death.
I get that people want gameplay changes but in a game like RL what would you do? Do you want them to start changing acceleration of cars or how much boost you can have? I feel like part of RLs beauty is that the game doesn't change but people get better with time. Like QOL changes like the boost circle are basically the only things that can be done
you don't really need to change much you're right, the boost change was very smart because it added something that complimented the way players play the game and hopefully they continue with that same mindset

How about private server lists so you can join strangers on shenanigans. How about some new maps that aren’t reskins but actually change the way you have to play. How about permanently add all the bonus game modes and give them all ranked it’s not that hard. They already have all these functionalities but refuse to add anything to the game.

@@JollyJoe135I would hope the only thing stopping them from allowing third-party servers is laziness, it should cut down on server costs for them. The reason though that they only keep so many modes is the same reason that they removed the playercount. They don’t ever want people to think the game is dying. People like myself who actually want to play the game will wait 20 minutes just to find a game of drop shot in GC3 but unfortunately many people are subject to groupthink and will stop playing a game if they think it’s dead. There’s probably a lot of market research on this kind of thing that the Epic folks base their reasoning on and they’re probably not wrong. They don’t seem to realize tho that if they don’t take care of the playerbase they already have and keep it healthy then it will die out anyways. The game has felt very neglected for like a year now. I think if there were less people boosting the game would be more enjoyable for most.
I just keep getting into lobbies where cars are invisible for me but not my teammate.

Are the servers fixxed guys? I stopped playing cause i had 30fps even tho my game said 300fps. It felt like shit. Is it fixed now?
Idk I'm still getting stutters while my fps counter never drops from 165
yeah there’s not really any point in looking at the fps counter in this game for that reason lmao. you can try making rocket league run as admin, it’s worked when me and friends have stutter/fps issues. If you look up how to make rocket league run as admin there’s a bunch of them.

I believe rocket league does not need any gameplay change for the core game but what we need in reality is different game mode that’s not just mutators and a name put on a mode they need to focus on variety when it comes to gamemodes like knockout

What do you mean by dead? Player count or development side?
Either/or tbh. I say it's a dead game due to the fact that bots have invaded the game at bottom tier high elo to top tier high elo. The DOS attacks on high elo players, the lack of responsiveness from epic/psyonix on the games server stability issues, the sports scene has gone down hill due to pro players and even bubble players not being able to get paid as they should, and the fact the prize pool has been lowered once again. Everything Epic Games is doing to RL is killing it inch by inch. Within a year or two RL will be shelved by majority of players.
Anyone else been lagging a ton after the new boost update? My game is consistently unplayable which is not normal.

I think the bug fixes came from people actively searching for bugs/cheats, because they then got a white hat. Now with trading removed it isn’t worth searching anymore so no bug fixes and more hacks in the game
Here’s a good idea for an update, they should work together with the people who created nexto to help create a better training area where you can practise against bots at your rank or higher
I don't think the timing of their updates are coincidental. I think they deliberately hold on to concepts that will most likely be well received, then only unleash them when they need to impliment a change that will be disliked.
I’m thinking that maybe Psyonix decided there will be no UE5 update for the game, so they are bringing updates for this game to the very end with these small changes. Others, imagine the number of patches and bug fixes if they really upgrade the game 😂
As for the debt.. how about a public game strike? I mean, mainstream influencers and pro player are the ones who are making game to be populated. Imagine the chaos if all of community stops playing for 1 week for example?
Also I can not play the game unless I uncap my fps and run my gpu to get 500+ frames of if I put it at any low at like 250 I stutter and the game renders horribly. Any other game that does not fly but rocket league

I agree on the neo tokyo and wasteland part. I lost every rankup game when I played in neo tokyo and its just overall a shitty map. Would be cool if they removed them from ranked entirely imo.

Just reminded me how I had to quit Black Ops 2 League play since there was a 99% chance that a Master 1 player would Ddos.
DDossing is a federal crime, this might be why we haven’t heard anything yet. Because they would need to involve the federal government in the investigation. They might have already involved them and they might not legally be able to disclose anything yet.

yeh i wouldnt know what to change with the core gameplay, it plays fine. Also everyone always complains about servers and lag issues but i might get a laggy server maybe 1 in 50 games.
I think it has a lot of things to develop. While not changing foundation, you can add so many game modes, so many maps, so many different little things.

@@Lucas-m11 it depends on your region. Some regions are pretty much 1 in 5 matches awful server. Also you can change many things without changing core gameplay. In fact most of the games in all their life time do not change core gameplay and yet have like a lot of other updates that make the game alive
@@jankoo285 many of the games allow you to add operators, change the mechanics of the game sometimes even the movement. rocket league is a game where u practically can't change anything, no one who is decent at the game will play the new modes for more than 20 minutes. new maps are repetitive as it's just the same thing reskinned with a new goal sound
@@neb9428 That’s what I mean, don’t add new stupid maps, there are a lot of workshop maps, that many would actually play if they could. Maps with challenges like on of the Lethamyr’s or maps with exploration and so many more. Different ratings for those maps and so on. And no adding new heroes like Valorant isn’t a change in game foundation, sure we can’t add new heroes. But let’s look at for example CS2 they never changed much of game foundation except amount of round that they brought back. Except that they don’t add anything else that is fundamentally changed the game. And yet the game is far from dead. Most of the games don’t change foundations of their game. And no adding new Heroes or new maps isn’t a fundamental change, that’s just new content. And for rocket league there is many opportunities for new content. Of course the question remains if people will play it, but that’s different and if you just think that no one will play it so never add it then in the end you deserve for your game to die. Bring new content to gain new players, that’s how it works

I understand content creators who have thousands of hours in the game and who have to make content on it want more core gameplay changes, but I think the fact that rl's core gameplay hasn't changed much is fantastic and I think most people would agree.
Not really. They accidentally added flip resets years ago, which completely changed the trajectory of the game for the better and elevated the skill ceiling massively to support more creative play-styles and how players can interact with the game. They are more than capable of adding gameplay features such as side-flip cancels that can do the same thing without sabotaging the core gameplay

ngl the corner bounce thing wasn't even really an issue, it was the smallest of issues that people didn't notice, the only reason it even was brought to light was because of people just searching for bs just trying to find anything wrong with the game.
