- August 17, 1969, Hurricane Camille made landfall in Bay St. Louis MS as a category 5 storm close to midnight. In the days that followed, our family went to Fort Walton Beach FL for vacation. On the way back, my Dad shot this footage. Note the boat washed ashore and renamed for the monster storm.
