As a Man Utd fan, I never thought I'd see the day when the team would be utterly dominated at home by Crystal Palace. The reality of the situation is stark - we've got no pull, the football world doesn't care about MUFC, only in (certain parts of) Manchester are we relevant and we're light years away from being back with football's elite. Palace stats show they defend well, and bringing on Eze and Wharton shows how strong this league is. Two of England’s best players.
Regardless of the players, I absolutely can't stand that formation. I think he's a good coach but bringing him in almost halfway through a season and completely changing the way we play to a new formation with players that aren't suitable or good enough to play it was always destined for failure. Should have stuck to what we know with someone like Ruud until the end of the season, then brought him in in the summer so he could get the full pre season under his belt.
I get what you are saying but even if a new formation is implemented, it'll be the same set of players. Our squad is bang average and mediocre.

You have to understand that by bringing Amorim now, he is able to get to know the players way better than if he was brought in the Summer. He is able to actually try it out in the games. So if the finances and PSR is handled well, the summer window could actually be very helpful for the team. You see how Ten Hag tried his formation in the first two games of his first season and lost badly, and then quickly went to a formation and tactical approach that suited the available players. It seems that is the problem the club are trying to avoid again, where manager was adjusting to the players rather than the players learning the manager's approach. And that's the exact mistake of panic buying that Amorim has talked about
