My grandma had a tricycle when I was a kid, and I always thought it was the coolest thing ever, lol. A regular bike only has two wheels, but this had three and a giant basket...lol.
Trike Review (and comparison) request: MoonCool TK1 Folding Trike There are a lot of RUclips video on this Trike bur very few that cover technical aspects of the trike. Took me a week to find out that the frame was T6061 Aluminum (as opposed to steel).
Yeah review the attmoter supposedly the first semi recumbent trike. Comes in green. I'm disabled I want to know if it would be more comfortable than a normal framed trike thank you
I've had my trike for about two months, I really love it and the performance, however, I would like to know if there is an "ADJUSTABLE" seat that would allow the rider to obtain the proper distance, and allow for easier on /off'....
I am comparing e-trikes because my partner is in an electric wheelchair, and her comfortable "hiking speed" is faster than walking speed, but slower than a standard bike/e-bike. This makes hiking trips (we look for bike trails, for wheelchair accessibility) more doable with a lower minimum balance speed, but greater speeds still available.
Good question. The screw hole patterns often vary from brand to brand, so you may need to consider a universal basket that attaches to the handlebars, but it is definitely possible to use a different basket.
I looked at all 3 of these before this video came out and purchased the Lectric for my wife. The folks at Lectric are top notch at designing and engineering bikes.
I'm really surprised that the front and rear baskets aren't made with solar panels on them so it will charge when parked or on the move. Question: can you use a folding solar panel to charge them if you are away from a normal charging outlet? Thank you.
We've noticed that the front wheels on trikes with front hub motors can spin out at times. There's just better traction when both rear wheels are powered.
Keeping up with all the new models must be difficult. I saw this review, good and informative but I saw another model from another brand that combines many features then adds 250 more watts and twin batteries, OK not twin but dual. Thanks for taking the time to do this work, it matters.
What I'm looking for is the least amount of moving parts plus customer support. That makes Rad my choice from these three. Don't need the gears. Can get one of their dealers to assemble it for me and keep it maintained. That being said I'm really interested in the upcoming Liberty Trike with 20" wheels. Has mag wheels, is single speed, and can completely incomplete it into two pieces which makes it a lot lighter for transport. Waiting for reviews on it. Just need a grocery getter in a fairly level town.
So far, the ones we've seen and tested have been fairly heavy and bulky. The XP Trike and the Easy Transit might be decent options if you remove their batteries and have two sets of hands to help lift them. But we'll keep our eyes open for lighter models too.
Hi Fellas, Excellent video. Have you done any evaluations/testing on the Narrak Electric Tricycle? I'd really be interested in that as I just bought one off Amazon. Thank you.
There are a few. Take a look at the Sixthreezero Rickshaw trike. It has a rear bench seat and they recently announced next year they will have a trailer for it with an additional bench seat to take even more people along.
@@Xterraforce Thank you for your reply! You mentioned you had a few suggestions. I'm curious what your other ones are. I appreciate your knowledge in this area. I know very little.
Hey guys I really need you're help! This question isn't about this bike but out of these 3 emtb what one should I get I'm looking for range and good components! So the bikes are the Aventon Ramblas ($2,700), Specialized Turbo Tevo 3.0 ($2,300), or the Denago EXC2 ($2,600). Please I need help,
The Aventon Ramblas: ebrdeals.com/ebrAventon-Ramblas is quickly becoming one of our favorite ebikes. And you can upgrade it also after purchase, to keep making it better!
The trike is really very simple, I had a stroke years back (06) and found that I could unpackage and start using the Trike in the same afternoon., only complaint, was the way fed/ex damaged the deliver, however, the e-bike replaced damage pats.
It depends on the trike. Face it, they are all made in China and customer service is non-existent. Take a look at the junk Amazon is selling, $ 700- 900 electric trikes. Some of the reviews must be bogus.
Nice summary, but it seems the 1-3k etrikes are heavier, often 70-150#, than we want to deal with. Would like to see reviews of recumbent trikes (ones with higher seating) such as the Hase Trigo electric (delta style, Hase entry level trike), plus the tadpole Catrike Villager electric (etrike wgt 51#) and it's cousin the Catrike Max (425# wgt capacity; etrike wgt 57#). Yes, these are more expensive, at about 5k, than the usual 1-3k etrikes, but they also weigh 35-40# for nonelectric or 51-57# for electric versions.
I went the Add motor E310 trike trike but they say on they order page they not selling to New York City That’s a shame so I’m trying to look for another company to go with sad just sad 😢😢❤
I tried a trike and they feel really bad because they tip easily. I don't see why you would recommend one that doesn't tilt. Twist throttle is dangerous, especially for an older adult, but I don't hear you mentioning that.
It's a great trike too. We're in general a fan of shorter diameter tires. 20" is the sweet spot, so the Compass is a smidge high which raises your center of gravity so you have to take corners even slower. It's got a lot of nice components though so if you have the budget it's a good option.
Better keep that plastic bucket from Petco out of the sun down here in Florida. Too much sun exposure to anything black and plastic will turn it brittle
I’m more interested about how they are accepted by the community you live in. Riding on a sidewalk or the street . Parking at the grocery store, theft,
We have many trike and e-trike riders in our community. We have a network of shared use paths here, so it's not often that we see many on the street, but there are riders who use sidewalks. Theft is hard to plan for, but it seems to be fairly ubiquitous, so we recommend always securing your bike or trike with one or more locks when parking it.
Baffled that a) you didn’t review the three I am considering * Evelo * DiBlasi *HJM TriBauler Pro AND b) … that you completely ignore all the one and two star, terrible reviews, for so many tricycle makers!
Yeah I'm so sick of 1415 mile an hour e-bikes. I was in Florida I got people jogging past me come on man. That's way too slow. Just buy one that I like and put my own motor in it controller LCD screen change the whole thing run 29 mile an hour. Still legal

These bikes would be perfect for those who have vertigo (dizziness) and and are unable to ride a regular bike
Exactly. Vertigo is the reason I'd consider a trike.

Is there any pros or cons to having both rear wheels driving? Instead of just the front wheel.

Completely "uncouple" it. Spell check!
can different handle bars be put on the lectric trike? i want the kind that curve back towards the rider, i do not like the straight handle bars
You could absolutely change the handlebars on the Lectric trike as long as they're the same diameter.
How do you lock it to prevent theft when at an event or grocery store?

Hard to believe people are still recommending front hub drives...constant slipping no traction garbage.
Why would you text the XP on beginner mode. 🤦
In general, we encourage people to go slower on trikes, and we kinda liked that the XP Trike came that way to be honest.
True, but it's only 2mph faster and importantly makes the PAS levels more differentiated.
Better keep that plastic bucket from Petco out of the sun down here in Florida. Too much sun exposure to anything black and plastic will turn it brittle
Too bad none of them can Tilt which would solve the problem of making sharp turns and prevent from falling over.
Front wheel drive is stupid, Letric is the only option here.
If dialed in it's good in our opinion. Traction on the two rear wheels is great though.
Lots of models now have rear motors and deraillers for hilly areas
