Hi Mr. Kent, my husband is almost 87 and just recently got a trike. It is more stable after a stroke and so far he's doing great. I am 82 and have had my trike since last year and love it. God willing we both will have this freedom for a few more years.
Thank you for your comment Bev. And sharing your information on your etrike. You two have what it takes to live together longer than most. Thanks again for your comment and God bless.
I am nearly 90 live in Australia had mine About ten years just handed in my license and I do a lot more then 14 miles an our ride it every day Got a big black plastic box on the back love it
All of you older people are cool! I'm 50 and sold my car years ago and got an e bike. I live IN the city of Pittsburgh. I'm jealous of your room to put bags of groceries on that trike.
Thank you for your comment Virginia. Yep, it's unbelievable how much enjoyment we can get from the trikes. I ride nearly everyday also and ride along with my grandson with his new dirt bike. Thanks again for your comment and God bless.
I just helped my 84 yr old uncle do some research on which trike he wanted and he chose this 1. Can't wait until it gets here to get him out and about enjoying the outdoors again. Great video sir
Thank you for your comment Ben. I'm glad it helped. I have a video on the channel showing how I tried to tip the trike over. You guys may enjoy that one. Have fun with that and if you have questions don't hesitate to ask. Thanks again and God bless. MrKent.com@gmail.com
Thank you for your comment David. That was probably a very rewarding job. I just bought them and rode them and and enjoyed the ride. Thank you for your comment and God bless.
I also am 70 and disabled, have had a motorcycle since I was 15yo, I currently have a 150cc Trike (about 59mph..but very hairy doing it), I have pretty well decided to get one of these as soon as I sell my present ride. Thanks Mr Kent and david6118 for helping me make up my mind.
I am 74, and have been riding motorcycles. For better than 50 years. In 2017, I decided to give up my Goldwing and purchased a 49 cc Honda Ruckus scooter. An in nice weather am still riding it! But I do appreciate your video on this etrike, stay safe and strong!
im 63 & just got my 1st ebike its fun [had other type bikes like you had also] in my future Im sure to get an etrike to enjoy like you are. Im sure glad to see you enjoying the ride. :)
We’re 67 and almost 70. Good for you! I ride both e-bikes and bikes. My husband can only ride e-bikes because of his health issues. I told him he needs an etrike now. Thanks for sharing! God bless you. Keep riding!! ❤️
Thank you for your comment and kind words. Yes, he will love the trike. But it takes a little "getting used to". My first try on it was a little scary because when it started to go right I tried to correct it by going left and totally lost control. But after that it was a matter of learning the difference between a bike and a trike. Thank you for your comment and kind words and may God bless you folks also.
E-Bikes have been on the ride in my area the past few months, so much so that I'm starting to see E-Trikes on the road too! I know two people who own one, and I may have even seen another one, and I'm seeing about as many E-Bikes as regular bikes, possibly slightly more now. It warms my heart as an E-Bike owner and guru (starting a bike mechanic side hustle this year) to see more of it. On the downside, there's no clean-up crew for bike lanes here, and bike lanes are home to dangerous debris and litter like broken glass and nails/screws so I hope to see that change for the future.
Thank you for your comment Mike. You know what you're talking about on the bike lanes. I've picked up debris in my tire and almost flat by the time I got home. Thanks again for your comment and have a great new year. God bless.
I think anyone who isn't trying to shave every gram of weight off their bike, is well served to not only use extra-thick tubes (tubeless is _not_ more durable; tests prove it) but to *add a good volume of nice thick slime sealant.* I've had 1/4” holes that self sealed (& later spit the goo out while crossing rail tracks & then resealed with more goo over the next few rotations). I no longer consider a bike ready to ride, until there's a generous pool of thick sticky sealant in the tubes. (Slime™ brand tubes are not great, but their bottles\jugs of sealant work great with "thorn resistant" tubes.) Tip: Always get the valve stem at a downward angle (4 o'clock or 8 o'clock) before filling/deflating, so the valve stem doesn't get clogged by sealant. Fine for me: I don't have to bend over as far!
@@shirleyrichard-qv9lw They exist... They handle sloppily, & weigh even more than tires with double-thick tubes & twice the recommended sealant. The higher material compression friction results in higher drag with airless tires, too. Also, with airless, the bead is more likely to unseat. Aaaand they're more expensive. I've had thick sealant & a "thorn resistant" tube, seal a pencil-diameter hole. I've got zero worries with thorns or nails or glass, & I've had a lot less trouble with "slow leaks". Personally, I swear by the stuff; it wasn't until I saw empirical testing find that tubeless isn't lower maintenance, that I knew I wasn't kidding myself, though. That... & *low-pressure tires.* _I had no idea._ All this time riding around on tires made for 60 PSI, it wasn't until I tried the same tread pattern & compound, back-to-back with a 30 PSI tire, that I comprehended what a difference it makes. They roll _so_ much easier. 🤯 Side bonus? Even fewer flats.
i am 73.8 years old.....rode foot powered bicycles for over 50 years....got old, bought a rad runner 1 ebike....rode it for 2 and a half years, got older and just finished ordering my mooncool tk1...looking forward to its arrival so i can keep pedaling....great video
Good for you Ronnie. I know just where you are coming from. I had five Harleys, then bikes,.then e-bikes, and finally, my trike. Thank you for your comment and God bless.
Congratulations on the new trike! This is the one I plan on buying next spring or summer. I had a stroke a few years ago and no longer have the muscle strength and control or balance to ride a bicycle. If you haven't already contacted Lectric you can send them pictures of the damaged fenders and they'll send you new ones. It's a pretty common issue unfortunately. I hope you get many years of enjoyment with it.
Thank you for your comment. Yep, now I wish I had thought of this before. I'm just getting broken in on it but I plan to have some good times riding with it. I'm not going to be concerned about the fenders, it wasn't Lectric's fault and they don't bother the riding any. I'm sorry to hear about your stroke. I have now had two minor strokes: they are no fun at all. Thanks again for your input and God bless.
Thank you for your comment and concern Rosemary. I like how your name is spelled. I have a nephew who named one of his girls Merry. Yes, the surgery went well. I am still taking medication for a while yet. Thanks again for your comment and kind words. God bless you also.
Your video/review is better than any high end sponsored video!!! Thank you Mr. Kent... I Think I will buy one!! Thanks to you!!! Im 76 yrs with real bad feet....
Thank you for your comment and kind words David. Yep, I don't plan on stopping any time soon but I appreciate your input and inspiring words. Hoping you have a great new year and God bless.
Your new e-trike looks marvelous and is an excellent purchase to continue your daily enjoyment of riding. I hope all goes well with your medical procedure later today. Cheers from Australia
Hiya Buddy : It looks like this would be a good choice for me , since I just had stem cell therapy for a hip injury which I hope after a few more months will be cured but to have my motorcycle I decided against it as I am 71 years old. So it seems like this would be pretty good to get out and ride around on my property and not really go to the store because I'd have to go on a couple of highways to get to town so that's an out , but riding around the country roads will be much fun too. So an e - trike is the way to go for me too. Enjoy and keep on Trikin' John Wayne
Thanks for helping to narrow this down for a purchase. My mother will be 70 in a couple of months and there is no way I can see her on a bike anymore. She needs to get out of the house and be active so I decided to get her an E trike. I have a couple of different trikes I am looking at. I may decide to go with a fat tire and a 750-watt motor so that she can make it through grass, sand, and hills. RWD is definitely something to consider. When I try going through a mess on my E-bike with the FWD motor, I just spin. I don't want to get a call from Mom that she went mudding in her trike and needs me to show up with a winch to pull her out from somewhere 20 miles down the road.
Thank you for your comment Jessica. The XP has a 750 watt motor but just regular tires. Whenever I get bogged down or think I might I just click in higher PA. I didn't mention it in the video but the XP has an aluminum frame, if that's helpful. Have fun spoiling your mother and God bless.
Thanks, Old MrKent! I spent many hours researching and watching videos to decide which etrike to buy. I am 70 and had a bad horse wreck a few years ago which gave me some balance issues. I couldn't ride my bike anymore. So this is my next endeavor! Your video helped me decide that I wanted a rear wheel drive trike. Your opinion convinced me to get the Lectric XP trike. Thanks!!
God for your Laurie. I know you will love it. Thanks for watching and for your comment. Have fun on that trike and keep me posted if you don't mind. God bless.
I'm 68 and just recently got a Etrike. So far I road it to pick up groceries about 16 miles round trip. I only grocery shop once a month at the big store in town . But I ride it about half a dozen times a month to the corner store to pick up little things like milk. The great thing about a ebike is you never have to buy gas again. Don't know how long it will be before I have to dish out for something expensive like a battery but I imagine it would last about two or three years.
It sounds like your situation is similar to mine. I don't drive a car anymore so this gets me to most places I need to go. Thank you for your comment and input Thomas and God bless you.
Congratulations nice trike this should give you a safer run around the property. I noticed another positive thing I see you have your own ambulance parked on sight. I hope all goes well and you enjoy your new transportation. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you for your comment Jim. Ha Ha Ha, yep it was once something to have handy. Now it is an antique my son intends to restore some day. Thank you for your comment. Please have a very merry Christmas and God bless you.
I’m a 71 year old Aussie lady , I ride a two wheeler and have never thought of the difference having a third wheel makes , it would feel strange, you explained it well 👍🇦🇺
I bought a lectric 2.0last July im 3 yrs in remission esophageal cancer i have 1900 miles it has given me the strength to get out and get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors
You just earned yourself a subscriber. I have a vacation home in Louisiana and we are heading there soon. Would like to purchase an E-trike when I get there. Looks so much fun! Thanks for the video! Don
You are welcome Don. And thank you for your subscription and input. I know you will love the trike. I enjoy it more than I did the e-bikes I had before. God bless you and have a merry Christmas.
Good for you Jim, thank you for your comment. I'm glad I switched when I did. My old body was beginning to get a little wobbly just walking around. The trike gives me a lot more security than the bike did. Have a very happy New year and God bless.
I'm 82 and in May be his age and I bought one. Love it, 17:38 bought it from addmotor it comes on a pallet in 100% good shape! But I think whatever you get, he will love it. 😊 but wear a helmet!
Mr. Kent I have not flown my drone for a while and have not been keeping up with you. I am glad I checked in today and watched this video. I am glad you are keeping active and having fun. I hope your medical issues are happily solved. I am giving my wife and myself e bikes for Christmas so we will be getting out and doing stuff again. Mid 60's and issues with arthritis and stuff so we are starting to slow down a bit. Anyway, God Bless, Merry Christmas to you and yours and I will be returning to watching your channel regularly. All my best. Bob in Thornton, Colorado.
Thank you for your comment Bob. It's good to hear from you. Yep, I'm slowing down but not planning on stopping any time soon. I only like couches when I need one. Too much outside to enjoy. Thank you for your comment and input and you and yours have a very merry Christmas. God bless you.
I’m not in the market for one but I watched through because I enjoyed your presenting and was impressed at how you managed to go over all the details of the e-trike without doing a million cuts like most people do. You’re not supposed to be so adept at talking about modern technology at your age. You make this look easy. Great video and if I was looking for an e-trike or something similar, I would find your video a compelling endorsement for this one.
Thank you for your comment and kind words Jacob. They are appreciated. I've done things like it a lot for quite a few years. Maybe that's the reason it went well. I do appreciate your kindness. God bless you.
Hey Mr Kent. I'm 69 and also live in AZ. Been riding ebikes for the last 7 years. The Lectric trike is definitely the best trike for the money. I checked a month or 2 ago and the Addmotor semi-recumbent trike is now also rear-wheel drive (it's nice, but it's still over twice as expensive). I'll ride 2 wheelers as long as I can, but if I had to buy a trike today, I'd buy the Lectric too. Giving you another subscriber, old timer! 👍
Thank you for your comment and info Rick. Nice meeting you and thank you for the sub. We never know ahead of time what will come our way so ride safe, don't crash and dislocate your shoulder and have to ride home like that, and maybe you will never need a trike. Thanks again for your comment and God bless.
Thanks for the review Mr. Kent. I recently ordered the Lectric XP trike. As a child I was a horrible bike rider, couldn't keep my balance for nothing. At 65 and somewhat disabled due to a brain injury I've decided on the foldable trike so I can take it on RV trips. I was unsure I had ordered the right one, but your comments about the rear wheel drive confirm that I had ordered the correct one. Thanks for the information.
Mr. Kent, you’re an inspiration. Thank you. I don’t ride bikes because my balance is awful due to health issues. I am drooling over all the eTrike videos but am stalling because I can’t afford it. When I can no longer drive I will get an eTrike.
Thank you for your comment Rob. That's where I am. I can no longer drive so the trike is how I get around. Thanks again for your comment and God bless you.
Way to go man , if you like it and are having fun , that's all that matters ! I'm 61 and love my ebike and Lord willing I might even get a trike someday 😊
Well I guess I am a blessed man. When I was your age I was still riding my Harleys. Thank you for your comment and kind words and you have a great and prosperous new year. God bless.
@@jerrycrouch8332 I'm sure you have a car with a battery and probably a phone and many other battery operated things that you bought so you must be a Biden guy
I'm just about to turn 69. I just ordered an XP Trike for my wife, and the new "ONE" for me. I enjoied your video! I used to ride mitorcycles too. I've been riding my 7 speed cruiser bicycle. But, I'm looking forward to the new rides!
Thank you for your comment Tac. What a deal. If I were just getting started with e-bikes I would get that bike too. You and your sweetie have a good time on those toys 😊. God bless you both.
Greetings from Avondale AZ. Enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing especially about charging in the heat. All my Respect to you, Sir. Take care and enjoy yourself.
I think of something like this as a mobile platform I can work from. Perfect for carrying your toolbox, beverages, and stuff around the yard. You could carry a battery for jump-starting vehicles. I'd have a bigger chair like seat on a swivel, and a sun parasol. It's like having a yard chair thats self-propelled. You can add an electric hub to the front, and have AWD. You can pull a wagon if needed.
Never stop being 😎Mr Kent! I loved this video and you sold me on the Lectric E-Trike. Had watched several videos on e-bikes and trikes. None of the videos I watched talked about it having rear wheel drive. I hope you benefit from this very easy to follow video. You rock!
Thank you Ann for your comment and such kind words. Infact, Lectric e-bikes sent me two of their tshirts because so many people buy a e-trike after watching it. As nice as that is I benefit more to hear that someone was helped because watched the video. Thanks again for your comment and God bless you.
Thank you GirlyGamer for your comment and kind words all the way from the other side of the world. Thank you for your sub also. I just finished a series of 74 videos on my life story. Thanks again for your comment and God bless.
i enjoyed your video a lot, reminded me so much of my oklahoman Dad, bless his heart, he would have loved this to go to places and check the mail. Best wishes to you and long may you ride on your e trike.
Very informative & Helpful thanks I'm a 🇬🇧 ex Mechanic15 years. It sounds like you have exact same constricted Artery problems as Good Luck & good health to you
I have an e-trike for winter riding. Lot easier staying upright on three wheels than two. Of the three trikes I've had all were front wheel and never had a traction problem with them. They'd even plow through snow banks with ease. Loaded up with groceries was no issue. Only issue I ever really had was one I built myself and used an unbranded kit for it. this kit applied 100% power no matter how much you twisted the grip, so you had to start it by pedaling or else the front wheel would torque off its mounts or bend the forks. Needless to say that one only lasted a season before it tore itself apart
Thank you for your comment and information about front wheel drive. I'm glad you had good success with it. I don't doubt your word, it's just logical that the best traction is beneath the heaviest part of a vehicle. Thank you for your comment and God bless.
I can see why. I went through three expensive Rad bikes. Now I wish I would have known more about Lectric. Thank you for your comment, kind words and input. God bless you and your sweetie.
Thank you for your comment and kind words. My wife is is a quilt addict also. There's no more room for her stash 🤔 thanks again for your comment and God bless.
Great review on the Lectric Etrike! The M5 Dashboard LCD display I think is one of the best out there since it's easy to see in bright sunlight and gives the user all of the information on the battery/controller status. I have a M5 on my Emoped and it is real handy with Voltage/Current display status of the bike and batteries. The controller and LCD display might have some advanced functions available for you like a CruiseControl function so you might want to contact Lectric concerning them. Be real careful on setting any of them since they can affect the operation of the trike.
Great video review! You have done an excellent job of covering the details of this trike and especially pointing out the advantages over other brands. I'm 78 years old and have many hours of research on which bike or trike to buy. You covered everything I need to make my decision. I am buying the LECTRIC. Ride far. Ride Safely! Many thanks!
I have a ebike and e dirtbike (surron ultra bee) love the new electric wave because I’m an electrician and how quiet they are! Love your etrike and the video glad to see your still getting out and about even days after being in the hospital. Great review u earned urself a sub👍🏻
Thank you for your comment Tommy and subscription. I worked in electronics for many years and also. You and yours have a very merry Christmas and God bless.
Thank you for your comment Carol. I'm glad to hear that. You will really enjoy it. If you have ridden a bicycle before, you have to get used to the feeling that it's about to tip over. I have some videos about that. Don't worry, it just feels that way at first. Thank you for your comment and God bless.
You are very welcome Robert. Keep watching as I will be putting up more videos about this sweet little trike. Thank you for watching and God bless you.
NIce review!😃My wife had a stroke and we are considering getting a Trike for her. I'm glad this E Trike is working for you. There's a lot of dust where you live!
Thank you for your comment and glad you stopped by. Your kind words are appreciated. We had a very nice Christmas here and hoping you did also. God bless.
Thank you for your thorough explanation of the E Trike Bike, Mr Kent. I'm trying to watch as many videos as I can on the subject since one of those bikes may be in my future. Happy riding, and good health to you too! 😊
Thank you for the great video, you are correct about what you are getting for the price is fantastic. I really like that it is a rear wheel drive and the frame looks heavy duty. I can still ride my two wheeler e-bike but like you have had my share of ER trips for it and have built a few and looked at other front wheel drive trikes and have discovered either they have poor climbing traction and or the forks are not truly suited for the torque. As for the speed you are spot on again with a trike but too last time I checked 13 mph is faster than walking. My wife is always wanting to ride my three wheelers as they pass through my collection and she hates the lean. Our street really bows and if you are not ready for it you will be all over the curbs. I like really everything about this trike and I normally would not buy what I could build but they did it right. thanks again.
Thank you for your comment and very helpful input. Yep, I know what you mean about the lean putting where you don't want to go. It took me a while to get used to that at the first. I'm amazed to hear you say you have built your own. That is special. You and your sweetie and family have a very merry Christmas and God bless.
You are welcome Ian and thank you for your comment and kind thoughts. Yes, I'm slowly getting taken care of medically. It's a problem older folks can have. Thanks again for your comment. You have a very merry Christmas and God bless.
Thank you for this review. I am considering getting this for my 76-year-old mother with serious knee problems. She loved to bike ride when we were younger. It would be wonderful to take her back to the park to do more than our weekly wheelchair walk (I push her). We have a good time on those outings, but she would be so much happier with being able to be on a bike under her own control.
Thank you for your comment. If she liked riding before I'm pretty sure she would like it now. The nice thing about it is, once you get used to it pedaling takes very little effort. And you still get the exercise. Thanks again for your comment and God bless you and your mother.
Well Kent, I think I've got you beat. I live in North Dakota and I'm 83. I received my XP E-trike in May and so far I have over 100 miles on it. I planned on putting it away by the end of October, It's now the 19th of December and I'm still riding. We have had some snow and cold temperatures, but you just put more clothes on. I'm really surprised how well this trike does on snowy streets. I do bring the battery in at night, They say these batteries don't do good if they get too cold. I'm getting about 25 miles per charge. I'm hoping Lectric will come out with a trike with fat tires and maybe a little suspension built in. This one is pretty rough riding . My streets are all dirt. I have a fishing pond about 7 miles away, and I made one tripe out there this fall. Enjoyed the morning out very much. Evidently I'm heavier than you because I only get 11 to 12 mph. I'm not in a hurry anymore. Enjoy that new trike. Sounds like your kid like's it too. Great.
Thank you for your comment and story Del. When I was riding my e-bike, it has fat tires but I learned that they were even smoother with a lower amount of air. I only filled the back tire with about ten pounds of air and the front with about 18 pounds. When I got the trike I decided that with two back tires I could lower their pressure also. I fill them with about 10 or 11 pounds and only about 15 in the front. You might experiment around with that. I don't have any trouble with tires coming off or bottoming out. I hope you are carrying something to pump up your tires if they get a slow leak. If you have any questions about what I use etc. (mrkent.com@gmail.com). If I ride tomorrow I will hit 300 miles, but that's small compared to the over 2000 miles I put on my e-bike. It's been nice meeting you Del. Stay in touch from time to time and have a very merry Christmas. God bless.
I'm 77 and ride recumbent trikes. Never heard of a front-wheel drive trike until now. One of my trikes is e-assist; the other isn't. I guess the drawback for older riders on a recumbent trike is low seated position. May not easily be able get down and up from one. I can do it. The other issue with the recumbent trike is price - much higher priced than what you are talking about. My battery is the same as yours and 3 wheels, 2 in front and the drive wheel in the rear - those are the main similarity to yours. Thanks for this video! When I get old, I may need to switch to something like this!
Thank you for your comment and your story Daniel. Yep there are a lot of folks riding incombant trikes from what I have heard. Thanks again for your comment and God bless.
Phenomenal video Mr Kent!! I love anything with wheels. I would love to see you on a catrike ecat with bosch! Also, i agree 100% about the rear wheel drive.
What a great video, informative and entertaining. Thank you. You sound like a great soul, gentle and peaceful. Take care, it's great you are still riding and have embraced your trike. I like the research you did before you bought it too, I am very practically minded too. Excellent, thanks again, Ray England. Ps. I built my own Ebike how I wanted it to be. Great minds.
How about that! Thank you for your comment and kind words Ray. They are appreciated. I don't know about being a great soul, I know I love Jesus, that might make the difference. I'm proud to hear that you have made your own e-bike. That would be quite a challenge. Thanks again for your kind words and God bless you.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I have multiple sclerosis and it seems like it’s time for me to get a little bit of a lift around our farm and a side-by-side seemed a bit pricey or a golf cart so now we’re going along with this kind of a ride and your review really helped me. Thank you.
Thank you for your comment Mori. Yep the trike is designed for older folks. It's pedal assist settings need less physical work than the bikes do. Have a very merry Christmas and God bless you.
73, here. I have this trike and a Worksman Industrial that I put a motorized wheel on the front. There actually is a great benefit to front wheel drive. When and if you need it, you simply do a bit of pedalling, and now you have all-wheel drive. Not so with the rear-wheel drive. I love them both, though.
I’m 81 and had three falls on a ebike. Just got a Lectric etrike. Lectric has better features and engineering of trike 3 and 4 times its cost! Split differential, rear drive, hydraulic disk brakes! Thanks for a great video review.
Wow, I am very impressed with what you get for the price with Lectric. I didn't know about them until I saw their trike. Thank you for your comment and God bless.
Great Video!!! I got my trike a while ago and added a motor which came in a kit. Works fine except the dashboard which is a bit hard to see in bright light. Saw a couiple of videos the other day which showed trikes as being unstable but I get along O.K. I'm 86 by the way. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do. Thanks.
I do enjoy my trike as much for sure. Yep every once in a while I see one of those videos put up by some poor negative person who doesn't know how to enjoy life. Wow, you are old enough to be my big brother Robert. Thanks for the comments and I will keep putting up the videos. Happy New year and God bless.
Thanks for the informative video Mr kent. I'm just now seeing your video for the first time in July of 2024. I still find the information very timely, as I am contemplating such a purchase for myself. I too have recently developed some mobility issues and I think that such a vehicle would be good for me.
Thank you for your comment Manuel. I really like mine and think you would get lots of enjoyment out of one. Thanks again for your comment and God bless.
Hey there. I found this vidso just in time i think, as i been looking at and trying to decide which ebike to get but seeing as how im 66 myself, after all the years with as many injuries ive collected, compression fracture of my back, knee surgery, falling off back of one of my mountain bikes 15 years ago and having 2 3" screws in for that one and arthritis from all that and more, been leaning towards maybe a trike is the way to go. At 1st top speed doesnt sound all that exciting but gotta keep telling myself i really am not 18 years old any more and dont know how many more injuries like those ive had already i can expect to recover from, and live through much less survive. I like that your attitude and out look on things seems to be quite similar to my own so im subscribing now so guess you may have to put up with some of my comments now and then but you'll get over it. Just kidding, you totally rock and i do look forward to seeing more of your experiences. God bless both you and your wife and take care in the trying times ahead. Love ya all, bye.
Thank you for your comment James and great story of "success." I love to hear stories like yours. There's a lot of us out there. I will enjoy hearing your comments no matter how cruel 😢. I just returned from a ride and anxious to get it up before Christmas. Thanks again for your comment and kind words and have a merry Christmas.
Thank you for your comment and kind words, but there are others besides me who do the same. But I really appreciate you taking time to say something about it. And God bless you and your family also.
I have one too, just retired in oct. Didn't get to use it much this fall but I'm planning on doing lots of riding next summer. I didn't get mine until July.
How about that. Yep, where I live we can generally ride all year around. If folks only knew how fun these trikes are more would get one. I'll check out your channel. Thanks for your comment and God bless.
Hi well done Mr Kent, you made a very interesting video, I’m sure they will find your brain, as your not lacking in your intelligence, and explained things beautifully!! Thank you for sharing, I’m sure your video will bring inspiration to many, especially the disabled or older folk!!
what a great video!!! I really enjoyed your personality...very down home....wink i wonder if you have thought about installing one of those Yellow triangles we usually see on farm tractors? I know if I saw one of those up ahead , I would definately slow down in approaching you from behind....just a suggestion ...still a great job on this video..
Thank you for your kind words and suggestion. That's not a bad idea. I'll have to think about it. Thanks again for your input and thoughtfulness and God bless.
I'm glad to see that others have found more than two wheels are a great way to go. I had an ebike that I took a spill on and after that I didn't feel comfortable riding it anymore. I ened up getting a tadpole trike (two front tires and one rear tire) then converted it into a quad. It's like riding a go cart, and I feel like a 13 year old kid all over again. Love your trailer, I may have to look into geting one myself.
I've never heard of converting a tadpole to a quad! Did you follow a guide or design it yourself? After just a few times braking hard in a turn, I swear that tadpole trikes should be more common than deltas! Two in the front, is not only safer during hard braking, it's also *_much_* easier to know what part of road you're going to roll over: You can _see_ where the front wheels are, while you know the back wheel is in the middle. With delta trikes, you can't _see_ exactly how wide your track is; you have to _learn_ that the vehicle's wheels are exactly whatever distance apart, to _estimate_ whether they'll hit something. Tadpoles make it so much more obvious what line to pick, when rough spots or close curbs are in your path! No comparison. Tadpoles all the way. Delta layout _functions,_ but tadpole functions _better._
@@prophetzarquon I converted my trike using a conversion kit from a company called Utah Trikes. It's pricey, but it was worth it to me since I feel more stable riding on four wheels than two or three after my accident. As for the tadpoles vs delta thing, I think that it will depend on both types of trikes. Recumbent deltas would have a lower center of gravity, so they should be more stable. As stable as a tad? Maybe not, but more than the upright deltas. Bringing it back to Mr Kent, for the casual rider the delta he and others have are perfect for that. And bottom line? If it gets you out riding, it's a great thing.
@@laidbackquaddude Definitely, having wheels you can use, is better than not! I wouldn't discourage anyone from getting a delta trike; I _would_ encourage anyone who's _just considering_ trikes, to take a good look at tadpole trikes, though! The ability to see both front wheels, just helps so much, in navigating obstacles... I wish tadpole trikes were more common, not least because their rareness seems to be the main reason for their expense, compared to deltas
Wow, Thank you for your comment Gaynor. That's something special. I'm just getting started on mine but loving every minute. Have a good and prosperous new year and God bless you.
What you may missed, it looks for me that you can fold the front in, so it takes up less space. If need be. So if you need to store it inside it is easier. Greetings from Austria.
Thank you for your comment and handy suggestion. The rear wheel base is just narrow enough to roll it through any entrance door. That's a good idea though. Thank you for your comment. It is appreciated. Have a merry Christmas and God bless.
Thanks for this video. We have some sandy spots in the driveway. Maybe not as packed as yours in the video. The tip about the tires might be worth a try, I also liked the discussion about rear wheel drive.
Thank you for your comment and kind words history teacher. Yep not all etrikes have the differential drive. Thanks again for your comment and God bless.
Also in AZ. We are mid 80's and bought recumbent E trikes a couple years ago when my wife could no longer get on her bike. 2 front wheels and single rear wheel drive. Lower center of gravity and 25 mph top speed. We have over 1700 miles on them.
I built my E Trike from an off the floor Adult Tricycle and motor kit 6.5 years ago. It currently has 3,500+ miles on it and still going strong. I have two LI-Ion batteries giving me an honest 45 miles @ 15 MPH range. It is NOT pedal assist......it is motor driven from a dead stop. It is my only transportation because I am lucky enough to live in a Bike Friendly City....Mesa, AZ. BTW I am 87 tears old
Thank you. I've passed 80 and am still going but I'm thinking of an e-trike as easy transport for the half mile to the grocery store and pharmacy ;-)I think I'll add a couple of the fiberglass rods with orange flags so the guy playing with his phone as he drives won't get away with saying "I didn't see him!" I like the stability of a trike and I definitely want rear wheel drive. Do you remember Volkswagen's front-wheel-drive truck? Couldn't climb hills when the road was wet and couldn't carry much of a load up that hill when the road was dry. If I do go the e-trike route, I'll add a remote for the garage door to my keyring so I'll have easy in/out of the garage for out-of-the-weather parking, plus a shaded place for charging. We get serious rain in winter and spring - plus occasional ice in winter - and we get 90+ days in the summer ;-)

I’ve had my Lectric trike for a couple of months. I LOVE IT! I’m 66 yrs old and handicapped. I ride it everyday. Best purchase ever!
Thank you for your comment Virginia. Yep, it's unbelievable how much enjoyment we can get from the trikes. I ride nearly everyday also and ride along with my grandson with his new dirt bike. Thanks again for your comment and God bless.
yay fun!! ya buddies, get some!
Just keep on riding. May you live FOREVER…Well 🙏🏽
I’m almost 74 and I’ve been considering an E-trike for several months now. Your great video has pushed me much closer to take the plunge. Thanks!
Thank you for your comment Buddy. I think you will be glad you did when the time comes. Thanks again and God bless.
I'm 70 years old, formerly employed in the motorcycle industry, and a lifelong rider. I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Thank you.
You remind me of my father, bless your heart and I hope you have many more fun filled days ahead of you. Please have a blessed day Mr.Kent
Thank you for your comment. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated. God bless you.
Years even ❤
Glad to see you’re still riding! All the best to you! 😎 ❤
Thank you for your comment and all the same to you. Feeling good makes life better. God bless you.
Thanks for the video Mr. Kent! Wishing you good health, adventures, and happiness!
Thank you Laura for your comment and kind words and God bless you.
I am 74, and have been riding motorcycles. For better than 50 years. In 2017, I decided to give up my Goldwing and purchased a 49 cc Honda Ruckus scooter. An in nice weather am still riding it! But I do appreciate your video on this etrike, stay safe and strong!
Thank you for your comment and input Mike. God bless you.
God bless you too Mr. Kent and thank you for sharing your cool trike 😊
You are very welcome and thank you for your comment and kind words. God bless you also.
im 63 & just got my 1st ebike its fun [had other type bikes like you had also]
in my future Im sure to get an etrike to enjoy like you are.
Im sure glad to see you enjoying the ride. :)
Thank you so much for your kind words. Yep, we will probably live longer than the folks who don't behave as crazy as we do. Thank you and God bless.
I like your narration, editing and knowledge of the product you reviewed, thank you.
Thank you for your comment and kind words Terry. They are appreciated. God bless.
Very nice!! We ride e-bikes but I told my hubby he needs an etrike. God bless you and thanks for sharing. ❤️
You fare welcome and thank you for your comments. God bless you also.
Great review of the Lectric Trike! I've seen a lot of reviews of this trike, but this is the most helpful and best of the them!
Thank you for your kind words. They are appreciated. God bless.
God bless.
I think anyone who isn't trying to shave every gram of weight off their bike, is well served to not only use extra-thick tubes (tubeless is _not_ more durable; tests prove it) but to *add a good volume of nice thick slime sealant.*
I've had 1/4” holes that self sealed (& later spit the goo out while crossing rail tracks & then resealed with more goo over the next few rotations).
I no longer consider a bike ready to ride, until there's a generous pool of thick sticky sealant in the tubes.
(Slime™ brand tubes are not great, but their bottles\jugs of sealant work great with "thorn resistant" tubes.)
Tip: Always get the valve stem at a downward angle (4 o'clock or 8 o'clock) before filling/deflating, so the valve stem doesn't get clogged by sealant. Fine for me: I don't have to bend over as far!
@@prophetzarquon Airless tires ?
That... & *low-pressure tires.*
_I had no idea._
All this time riding around on tires made for 60 PSI, it wasn't until I tried the same tread pattern & compound, back-to-back with a 30 PSI tire, that I comprehended what a difference it makes. They roll _so_ much easier. 🤯
Side bonus?
Love your new Trike Mr. Kent! Now can enjoy yourself more without the worry of hitting the dirt! God bless you and your wife.
Yep, and other things like not having to put your feet down when you stop. Thank you for your comment and kind words Jody and God bless you and yours.

Thank you Michael for your comment and kind words. Yes, the procedure went very well. I just had to spend the whole rest of the day in the hospital.
I'm sorry Jessica, I forgot. The XP does only have a 500 watt motor. Thank you for your patience and God bless.

Good for you Dan. It's definitely much better than sitting on the couch. God bless you.
I'm still riding at 75 years but inevitably that will slip away and my interest in e-trikes led me to your post. Thanks !
Good for you Jim, thank you for your comment. I'm glad I switched when I did. My old body was beginning to get a little wobbly just walking around. The trike gives me a lot more security than the bike did. Have a very happy New year and God bless.

But I think whatever you get, he will love it. 😊 but wear a helmet!
Mr. Kent
I have not flown my drone for a while and have not been keeping up with you.

Mr Kent, thank you for such an educational video! Really enjoyed this one. Wishing you the very best health recovery.
Thank you for your comment and concern Trish. I'm doing fine now with very few issues. Your kind words are appreciated. God bless you.
You are welcome Renee and thank you for your comment. I'm sure you will enjoy riding on it. God bless.
Mr. Kent, you’re an inspiration. Thank you. I don’t ride bikes because my balance is awful due to health issues. I am drooling over all the eTrike videos but am stalling because I can’t afford it. When I can no longer drive I will get an eTrike.

Congratulations on that sweet ride! My wife and I have had two Lectric XPs for a couple of years and we absolutely love them.
I can see why. I went through three expensive Rad bikes. Now I wish I would have known more about Lectric. Thank you for your comment, kind words and input. God bless you and your sweetie.
Thank you Mr. Kent for your great E-Trike video.
Thank you for your comment and kind words. My wife is is a quilt addict also. There's no more room for her stash 🤔 thanks again for your comment and God bless.
Great review on the Lectric Etrike! The M5 Dashboard LCD display I think is one of the best out there since it's easy to see in bright sunlight and gives the user
all of the information on the battery/controller status. I have a M5 on my Emoped and it is real handy with Voltage/Current display status of the bike and batteries.
The controller and LCD display might have some advanced functions available for you like a CruiseControl function so you might want to contact Lectric
concerning them. Be real careful on setting any of them since they can affect the operation of the trike.
Thank you Ezl for your comment and information. That's good to know. You have a very merry Christmas and God bless.
Great video review!
You have done an excellent job of covering the details of this trike and
especially pointing out the advantages over other brands.

Thanks for this video. I’ve seen all the best E Trikes videos and found the Lectric caught my attention. Going to take a test drive next week. 🎉
Thank you for your comment Carol. I'm glad to hear that. You will really enjoy it. If you have ridden a bicycle before, you have to get used to the feeling that it's about to tip over. I have some videos about that. Don't worry, it just feels that way at first. Thank you for your comment and God bless.

Thank you for your comment. It's the same here in Arizona. Too much dust. Thanks again for your comment and God bless.
Love the trike and still thinking of getting HD trike too! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Just found your channel. Great information & video.
Thank you for your comment and kind words. You are sure to enjoy these guys. Thanks again and God bless you.
Very interesting review, hope everything went well at the doctors. A trike looks like a great way of staying active, thanks
Thank you Marcus for your comment and kind words. They are appreciated. God bless you.
What a great video, informative and entertaining. Thank you. You sound like a great soul, gentle and peaceful. Take care, it's great you are still riding and have embraced your trike. I like the research you did before you bought it too, I am very practically minded too. Excellent,
thanks again,
Ray England.
Thank you.
Thank you for your comment Farm girl. Yep, we use mine a lot here on my son's tiny farm. It works great. Thanks again and God bless you.
Continue to be adventurous Mr. Kent and stay out of those hospitals and doctors offices!
Ok, I intend to as long as the Lord allows me to. Thank you for your comment and kind words and God bless you.
Whatever gets you out there man. I have a similar spec fat tire e-bike that's a blast. I'll probably get a trike when I'm older.
Thank you for your comment Mori. Yep the trike is designed for older folks. It's pedal assist settings need less physical work than the bikes do. Have a very merry Christmas and God bless you.
Nice review. Love your good-natured comments!
Thank you for your comment and kind words. They are appreciated. You have a very merry Christmas and God bless.
Nice trike Mr. Kent! Best of luck with your health and the biopsy procedure.
Thank you Earle. Yes and it appears to be the solution to a month long ache in my head. We will see. God bless you.
73, here. I have this trike and a Worksman Industrial that I put a motorized wheel on the front. There actually is a great benefit to front wheel drive. When and if you need it, you simply do a bit of pedalling, and now you have all-wheel drive. Not so with the rear-wheel drive. I love them both, though.
You have a good point there Dan. Thank you for your comment and wise input. I never thought of that before. Thanks again and God bless.
You did a really nice job thank you. I'm considering one for myself and wife. We're 72. Have fun!
Thank you for your comment and kind words Dave and God bless you and your sweetie.
Good day Mr Kent, welcome to e trike community and wish you a good health.
Thank you for your comment and kind words and God bless.
I’m 81 and had three falls on a ebike. Just got a Lectric etrike. Lectric has better features and engineering of trike 3 and 4 times its cost! Split differential, rear drive, hydraulic disk brakes! Thanks for a great video review.
You are welcome Bob. I agree 100 percent. Thank you for your comment and God bless.
I have 3 e bikes from Lectric love them! Great video
Really appreciate you honest thoughts on the bike. My wife is disabled but I think this would be great for her.
Thank you for your comment. The customer service at Lectric e-bikes is the best I have ever seen. Enjoy and God bless.
You are the first person to say God Bless you on youtube God Bless you and all your family Thank you.
Thank you for your comment and kind words, but there are others besides me who do the same. But I really appreciate you taking time to say something about it. And God bless you and your family also.
Great review, I am thinking of getting one, The information was a real helpful
And such a nice old chap 👍
Thank you for your comment and kind words Dozer. Have a good and prosperous new year and God bless you.
Thank you for your comment and such kind words. I'm hoping it will encourage some to get out and do more. Thanks again for your help and God bless.
what a great video!!! I really enjoyed your personality...very down home....wink
i wonder if you have thought about installing one of those Yellow triangles we usually see on farm tractors?
Thank you for your comment and interesting input. You have a great new year and God bless.
He's cool,he reminds me of my grandfather very strong willed and very intelligent. Love me some mr.kent ❤
Thank you for your comment and very kind words. Lots of folks say the same thing about me. God bless you.❤️
I have rode a trike for 50 years with my kids on the back, I am now 80 on my 4th trike and love them.
Love your spirit, just discovered your channel.
Thank you for your comment Pedro. Welcome aboard. Yep, you can expect more videos soon. God bless you.
I'm with you sir. I hope you're doing well. God bless.
Thank you for your comment Billy. Yep, I'm doing fine in relation to my age. Thanks again for your comment and God bless you also.
Also in AZ. We are mid 80's and bought recumbent E trikes a couple years ago when my wife could no longer get on her bike. 2 front wheels and single rear wheel drive. Lower center of gravity and 25 mph top speed. We have over 1700 miles on them.
Thank you for your comment and God bless
I built my E Trike from an off the floor Adult Tricycle and motor kit 6.5 years ago. It currently has 3,500+ miles on it and still going strong. I have two LI-Ion batteries giving me an honest 45 miles @ 15 MPH range. It is NOT pedal assist......it is motor driven from a dead stop. It is my only transportation because I am lucky enough to live in a Bike Friendly City....Mesa, AZ. BTW I am 87 tears old
Wow! You are to be praised John. That is a story I love to hear. You are even a neighbor on top of that. Thank you for your comment and God bless.
Thank you.
I've passed 80 and am still going but I'm thinking of an e-trike as easy transport for the half mile to the grocery store and pharmacy ;-)I think I'll add a couple of the fiberglass rods with orange flags so the guy playing with his phone as he drives won't get away with saying "I didn't see him!"
I like the stability of a trike and I definitely want rear wheel drive.
Well, Not young, you have it all planned out. Those are all good ideas. Thank you for your comment and God bless you.
I'm proud of you. You give me courage! Thanks.
Thank you for your comment Jeff. And kind words. God bless you.
