Stu, Your videos have helped IMMENSELY in the last 4 days as I got a coyote, beaver and today an otter! Thank you. Gonna get some CCO apparel to do my tiny part for your channel! Don't stop being you....Stu! -Paul 😃
Thanks for taking us along, enjoyed the series. That pretty interesting a skunk is more profitable than other critters. 40 years ago we couldn’t hardly sell one.
I really appreciate this series people need to see the nitty gritty details and the persistence of checking empty traps. For me I have to get up and make the checks before work. That means getting up at 330-400am and going out in the cold to check traps. I believe people that trap are savvy about hunting trapping more so than people that just hunt.
Awesomeness aplenty What's the best resource for a beginner to learn from? Besides your great videos.. I have rounded up 14 leg holds with chains. I'm in northern Nevada, southeastern Oregon.. thanks in advance
CCO is a great resource for learning the types of sets. Find someone close to you with a channel for habitat specific strategies. Join your state trappers association and find a mentor.
In addition to CCO check out the videos at Coyote Trapping School RUclips channel. Kris isn’t posting anymore but has some good educational videos to learn from too.
sardines in mustard sauce... best skunk bait ever.. my brother absolutely wouldn't use it lol.. back when raccoon were 50 bucks a piece for smaller ones he didn't want skunks... they didn't come home if he did catch em...
Im on my first year trapping in Northern Michigan i love watching your content already making my own waxed anthill sand. So far 2 beaver 2 raccon and 2 unfortunate possum that got into a 110 box set. 4 possum were released unharmed even pet them for a few realy cool animals. Fingers crossed my sets arent empty been about a week without anything hopefully tomorrow. I hope to fill my first bobcat tag and get my first trapping coyote. Keep up the content.
For starters just want to say you make great videos. I have a quick question to ask you and its going to sound like a Crazy Question. I'm not a serious Trapper by any means but I have gotten out there and trapped some beaver and Coons but never a coyote. My mind was wondering on ways to prevent trap freezing. I thought what if you put a MB 550 in a 1 gallon Zip Lock baggie with a small hole in the bottom to run the chain through and used a thin layer on top and bottom inside the baggie with insulation. Sounds Crazy I know. What are your thoughts ?
Me and the kids were out trying to set yote traps but every spot we picked we hit solid rock anywhere from 2-8” down. How do you anchor in those situations?
I use dry cat food, mini marshmallows, and then pour a little fish oil overtop to help with scent. Or I also have an anise hair that smells like licorice.
The last video he was using a Chiappa Little Badger .22 LR that it looks like he removed the wire stock from to make it smaller. Break action single shot. I imagine something subsonic like CCI Quiet for the slow rounds, and a full strength one of fox and coyote.
This series dude, is flawless, keep up the good work!
Thank you for the video
Love seeing the pulling of sets
Great addition to the series, thanks for sharing!
Been tough going, should be moving well this coming week with colder temps, best of luck Stu!
Yeah. Didn’t catch a thing this week. Hopefully things pick up.

When you get new traps do you adjust the pan tension?
yes
Pan tension?
We caught a skunk and it sprayed everywhere. When you say a slow round, what are you using please?
Look at CCI Quiet. A subsonic .22 LR round
How much can a small in locations make a difference ,or large move is needed miles away.
No mud on my line 😅 either

New to trapping, what do you do while all the carcasses?
What do you use to dispatch your critters?
What are you using for dispatch
What is the case you carry
Hay on our farm all nest raiders get dispatch no matter what. For the turkey's quail and pheasants population to help them.
if i would have known i would have sealed one up and sent it to ya after i caught it a week ago
Anyone know what he baits the dog proofs with
Corn , any thing sweet , fish , cat food , marshmallows
Set on trail
Dry catfood
Never thought you'd make such a margin on skunk
Bro, that video stressed me out. You worked so damn hard today. lol Thanks for the content.
Do you always release your opossum the timber rats
What is that bait you dump in the dps?
Cat food
LFG boys

If you can't anchor for coyote set drags. You can make them from rebar or buy them pre-made from a trapping supply store.
Thanks a lot. I thought of that after another video. I appreciate it
What do you use for bait in your dog proofs I know it’s cat food but do you add anything else to it great video thanks for sharing.

What kind of single shot is that
👍🏻😎🇺🇸
That's trapping....
What kind of firearm is that you dispatch your animals with
What gun do you use to dispatch you game ?
Chiappa Little Badger. Looks like he removed the stock.
What pellet gun do you use?
The last video he was using a Chiappa Little Badger .22 LR that it looks like he removed the wire stock from to make it smaller. Break action single shot. I imagine something subsonic like CCI Quiet for the slow rounds, and a full strength one of fox and coyote.
You probably need to take the possums out too. Keep them out of the turkey nests. I know they aren't worth anything but still...
💪👊👍
reply to this post if you love trapping
