Hey dermo from Dublin. I've been using virtual dj over 10 yrs and anytime I plug a dj controller like the numark mixtrack platinum fx, it's only giving me a 30 day trial as I've a limited edition of the software I use numark mixtrack mix and no hassle. Plus I've downloaded rekordbox putting my numark controller put its not been reconsider, does it mean I've to go buy a pioneer controller for it rekordbox to work. Thanks digital dj 🙏 😊
I'm trying to get the DDJ FLX 4 to work on Virtual DJ but the effects STINK compared to when I use it in Rekordbox. I've been a virtual DJ user for like 12 years and don't want to switch. Any suggestions?
It's quite funny to see this list... Controller 1 to 4 cost between 1'000 and 1'500 each... and then there is the little tiny Inpulse 200 Controller für 100. And it does the job as well. 🙂 I started with the 200 and now I updated to the Inpulse 500, which I really adore. For now I use DJUCED, but I downloaded now Serato (Lite is included with Inpulse 500) and also VirtualDJ and I will try both of them. Maybe even both Inpulse controllers together (even DJUCED allows me to use 4 decks at the same time, so we'll see). The Inpulse 500 costs around 280 and is still far away from the other 4 Controllers in this video. So I'm happy that also cheaper controllers are doing a good job, especially for me as a beginner.
Ultimately, the work is being done by the software. when you buy a more expensive controller, you're buying better build, size, pro ins and outs, screens, better audio interface, etc.
The most pointless video on RUclips the average human wants to dj at home and all these controllers are a re mortgage price ,,most people don’t want to pay 💰 that much
Ive been using VDJ for over 15 years...ive had serato suite, tried it, but went back to vdj..it was my first software, and since ive come back to djing and gotten into live streaming, ive been using an sb3, with sb3, and juggling 4 decks n stems on the sb3. No controller has this
Thanks for a quick response
I have an Numark mix deck express 2 .. which facing issue with after a software update, can you guide?
I really like vdj, ❤
In terms of motorised controllers, would you say The Rev7 is a better match with Virtual DJ than the Rane One? Im sure it can work well with both but whats your opinion please? Great video by the way.
No preference here.
@@digitaldjtips thanks for the response. I should have probably phrased my question better, In terms of native compatability, would you give the Rane one a slight edge, like to work "straight out the box"? Or am i good choosing either.
@@00slycex87- it’s all about your sauce.
@@00slycex87I use rane one as well as rane 72/12 wth vdj. It works amazing with both.
@@Master_djchops-ssethanks
Apple should hire VirtualDJ’s controller mapping engineers for the next CarPlay. From what I’ve seen, there’s no one more talented at adopting other people’s designs to show their information than those mad lads!
Ha ha could be right!
So why doesn't virtual dj work with my FLX10 using 2024 i9 Alienware? I gave up! Dell after 7 months gave me my money back.. They couldn't fix the latency which was desperately poor... What i9 should I buy
Sorry, we all use Macs so cannot advise - check spec page on VirtualDJ site
Will the new Reloop mixon pro 8 works with virtual dj
I'd check with them, but I'd say almost certainly yes
I need Virtual dj 2024 for my FLX10
How are you finding VDJ on the FLX10......I'm looking at upgrading from Denon MC4000 to the FLX 10 and VDJ is my preferred software
I use VDJ with my rekordbox pioneer ddj 400
Yes, good fit.
SHow compare SCRATCH TEST Serato vs VDJ
I’ve had Virtual DJ on my MacBook Pro since 2018. How do I know it I bought it or not? 🤷🏻♀️ 🤣😜🤣
VAIRTUAL DJ IS THE BEST DJ SOFTWARE, I USE IT WITH DDJ 1000 SRT
Hi I got virtual dj and I want to upgrade my pc. I was looking at the mini mac m2. Or the pro mini m2. I only want to use it at home. I had a mini mac before but I can't get the latest version of vdj with the stems. So is it worth it or should I look for something eles. Thanks
Either of those will be powerful enough for stems.
@@digitaldjtips thank you for getting back to me
Can I download virtual dj 2021? I don’t have to do the newest update, right?
No idea most people choose the latest
@@digitaldjtips thanks bro!
I got rid of my RX2 mainly because I'm not However, I use Cubase 12 and I love sampling, so using Virtual DJ as a standalone gives me an accurate BPM and key. I was wondering is anybody can tell me is there a mini controller that can fit on a desk that is compatible with it without paying any form of subscription? Thanks in advance.
You'd have to but the software outright if you don't want to pay a sub.
@@digitaldjtips I was wondering why there isn’t any freeware for dj controllers? I mean there is freeware for everything including photoshop.
I have DJ pro ai I'm a new DJ what is the best controller to use
Many controller work with djay. check out the hardware page on their website for info.
Hi Phil
I had a quick question I have prime 4 and prime go but my laptop is broken. Can I use Virtual DJ with my 4 and go using an iPhone? Like you can with Djay Pro AI?
Anyone else that knows please let me know - many thanks
No, Virtual DJ does not work on a phone.
Thanks Phil 👍 djay pro ai for now then
I saw the hercules impulse 300 (157€)for 48€ more than the 200 (109€) think the 300 is the better deal 😊
Thanks Michael.
Get the inpulse 500. U won't regret it. Yes, it is £299, but it is so much better
Good video. I love VD but i have issues with the pitch fader it doesn't not work like that of serto dj
I just bought a DDJ FLX4 and the effects on Virtual DJ don't sound nearly as good as when I use it on Rekordbox. I've been using Virtual DJ for 12 years, and don't want to switch. Can anyone tell me why the effects sound so bad on VDJ? Thank you!
They’ve never been its strong point
I have a question. If I buy the Ddj Flx4 i have to buy virtual dj subscription or i play free ? Because i am playing from laptop and i can say that i prefer vdj than rekordbox
Rekordbox is only free with Pioneer DJ controllers. Virtual DJ should be purchases to unlock the 30 day trial.
@@digitaldjtips thanks 😊 🙏 for getting back to me 🇮🇪
does the beat sync still works on vdj even after controller is connected?
Yes
Vdj Pro is kinda free even with a controller, u just create a new account when the 30 day trial runs out.
I think you can find it also broken
Virtual DJ, Denon Prime Go, battery powered Thump Go & the beach. You can go wrong...
Sounds like a dream!
I'm trying to get the DDJ FLX 4 to work on Virtual DJ but the effects STINK compared to when I use it in Rekordbox. I've been a virtual DJ user for like 12 years and don't want to switch. Any suggestions?
👍👍👍👍👍
Ultimately, the work is being done by the software. when you buy a more expensive controller, you're buying better build, size, pro ins and outs, screens, better audio interface, etc.
my 1200’s and phase DJ devices called and wanted their mixing back 😂😂😂 great vid
Ha!
What bout controller under $300
Check out the Digital DJ Tips website, we have a roundup on that category there.
10% 😂😂😂😂
wow that's unbelieveble
Check out our annual census, the data is all in there.
No one that uses virtual DJ, would pay 2000.00 for a controller. How idiotic.
In our experience, many pro mobile DJs use VirtualDJ with very expensive set-ups.
The most pointless video on RUclips the average human wants to dj at home and all these controllers are a re mortgage price ,,most people don’t want to pay 💰 that much
we know different
Ive been using VDJ for over 15 years...ive had serato suite, tried it, but went back to vdj..it was my first software, and since ive come back to djing and gotten into live streaming, ive been using an sb3, with sb3, and juggling 4 decks n stems on the sb3. These points are awesome , but do u have any feedback as to stand alone units with VDJ stems...or , which at this point works the smoothest at this point? @digitaldjtips
i was eyeing the sc live 4
