1000ft and I still can't see the runway. 500ft Now I'm freaking! Then there's the runway. Minimums! and it's at least a good 2 miles away! Then they land right on the Markers! I don't know about you, But I need a drink. Excellent flying!
Can someone help? In the classic 737´s, the pilot PFD and ND are aligned in the center of the seat/yoke? Or they are more to right or left? If someone can say about the NG series, where the PFD and ND are sid by side and not one above the other will help me a lot. Thanks.
There is a hill before the runway so the terrain descends parallel to approach descend. You don't see quite well in the video but you can check it in google terrain.
My favourite landing, I love SKG and Thessaloniki city. I do prefer landing the opposite runway though, passing the city waterfront and the White Tower.
On 4th July 2000, HA-LCR as MA262 from Budapest with 76 passengers and crew, landed on Runway 28 with landing gear retracted and skidded on its landing gear carriages and tail for at least 500 m (1,600 ft). As the engines spun up, the Tu-154 lifted off the ground, became airborne again and climbed out and carried a second landing attempt which was successful. No injuries were reported. The plane was written off as "damage beyond economical repair" and remains since then, next to the Fire Department of Thessaloniki Airport.
Is this a usual landing at this airport? It looked like he really had to work the controls at the end to keep the decent steady... Got way too low at dme 3nm...runway was hardly visible at altitude 1000 ft.... Maybe I am used to steeper decents... Opinions?
Yeah, this seems like a very shallow approach, maybe due to the elevation changes closer to the runway but still...I would not want to live in one of those houses right underneath this glide path. The minimums call occurred with quite a ways to go still. It's a great landing, don't get me wrong. It was very smooth and orderly all the way down so it seemed, it just seems with the way the terrain is, this is an awfully shallow glide path especially with residential homes right there. He can't be more than 100 feet off the ground as he's going over some of those houses. The margin of error is tiny in that kind of situation. If there's any hiccup at all, or an unexpected loss of thrust, that's bad news. Looking at it, and I'm not a pilot so I can't pretend to know what I'm talking about, I don't see anything here that would prohibit a steeper approach. Am I wrong? Not knocking the pilot's skills at all, but I've never been on an approach like this while on a commercial flight and I don't think I've seen any others like this on youtube lol.
RetroCNY that's what I thought.. Thanks!... Seems to be a trend with this pilot though... Maybe jus the way he likes it or the way they are trained in the region.. Yeah but it was a great landing any how.
I am V Maheswara Sarma Indian CPL holder but I did not get that same carrier Norrmaly I will go India I would like to fly within cabin(cockpit) How can I make my journey in cabin?
I would not want to live in one of those houses right under the glide slope lol. Not only would it be really loud but I mean...that's pretty low and it has to look even lower on the ground. Would be sort of unsettling to say the least. Doesn't seem like much room for error. Get it slightly wrong and that's bad news for all involved.
Einer der schönsten Anflüge (auch bezüglich Kameraeinstellung) die ich je gesehen habe. Danke.
Nice cockpit view PIP, we can see how the pilot handling the steer
That flightsim just gets better and better.
Andrew Burke this is not a flight sim
KAPTAIN kaidos it was a joke :/
着陸間近の操縦桿の動きは、手早い状態ですねー😂正に浮いてるところから徐々に高度を下げる時、横風などで機体の制御をするパイロット👨✈️の技なのですね。何回観ても、感動致しました。

That was an interesting approach and I enjoyed every moment.
Fantastic video thank you!
perfect landing
This might sounds like a stupid question, but why are there so many buttons, etc on such a plane? What are they mostly used for?
one more time amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you for sharing this fantastic expirience as always!
great landing. what airline?
Cool Vid ! Nice Landing right there !
I thought this approach was too shallow. I fly my piper Cherokee higher than that from the outer marker
What are your specs these graphics look so real
FalsR its a real life landing
Alex Fotin did you even knew I was joking?

Nice job boys!
Awesome video
Wow what a great footage.
Do you want to fly one like this one day ?
Very nice landing!
And one question: Why sometimes in the cockpit all screens flicker like in this video?
Cuz of screen hz rate, open ur phone cam and try to capture broadcast of ur grannies or grandpa s old tv,u ll see the screens hz refresh rate.
The approach was quite low and touch down quite early in my opinion, what do you think?

Lovely Video. Thank's for sharing
You can see the abandoned MALEV TU-154B2 HA-LCR at 5:54 - 6:01 next to the garage of Fire brigade.

Cosso009 That's the spirit of soviet aircraft. Solid af.

TheGreatFlyer sure keep it up!
awesome landing!
Why u kept puuling the stick moments before land and why the plane doesnt do anything?
Low speed, low sensitive controls...
Nice video, beautiful views. Always satisfying to see all the way to shutdown :)

Wow, great to see you fly gliders and propeller planes and now a B737! Wow! Awesome :-) Keep up the good work! Greetz from Holland
JERRY TAHA AVIATION its not him flying the plane read a little bit the comments
Are you sure? He is a pilot ;-)
He’s a pilot but he’s not a 737 pilot
Still using very old screen wiper system is so ironic in those high tech planes.
Which Airport ?
