Just did my rack without dropping subframe. Just remove hardline located on top of rack. Rack will slide right out. Take hard line off new rack and slide in. Mount it down with brackets and reattach hardline. No worrying about subframe nor motor mounts.
Just removed my steering rack thanks to the video. THANK YOU. I couldn't remove the outer tie rods from the knuckle as per video however. I had to use a pickle fork. Chowdered up the ball joint boots but that's the only way I could do it. I also broke one of my studs off my tension rod passenger side lol...
Thanks to you, just had my bushings done. It is soooo much easier with the engine out. Keep up with the good videos. They have helped me to save a lot of work and time. Tks!
Hi, thanks for ur channel. I can’t afford to pay someone to work on my Z. I get my work done thru ur channel. I’m working on my oil pan and im now on the pan now. I dropped the subframe. I removed most of the 10mm bold and stopped for the day and left the corners. Am I able to remove the bolts driver side. Where the oil feed, the bracket where 1 bolt goes thru the Tran house. I hope my clutch doesn’t come out?
No. I believe the tt has a little less steering rotation when compared to the NA. NA has 2 3/4 rotation to each side and tt has 2 1/2. I would do some research on twin turbo.net
If your rack was not leaking it was the bushings. Thanks for the video.

Awesome! Thanks for the support
Channels like this really make me want to get into grassroots drifting. Subbed
Awesome! Thank you!
Good video. Definitely should've done this before I did the LS swap in mine. Lessons learned. I'll be doing mine this weekend.

This might be a dumb question but how important is the power steering rack gear cap? Would it be dumb if I drove without it?
I'd say it's important to be honest
Awesome man that's a big help i recently bought a 300zx I know in the future I'm going to do that 😬💯
Great vid. I dont need to do this but good to know in case i do
Im looking for a steering rack for a right hand drive 300zx TT 94. Any recommended sites?
That may be tough, I would contact z1 motorsports or concept z performance to see what they can get. Or a possible JDM warehouse
@@ZBruhzchannel thank you. Keep up the good content.
@@megashem101 thank you!
Good luck! If you have the old one off your car concept z or z1 will rebuild it and send it back
@@kyricwallace9843 that was the plan!
Is the NA rack same as TT ?

i can’t figure out how to get the inner tie rods off of the old rack, any recommendations?
They are probably loctite in, do you have the rack in or out of the car?
Z-Bruhz it is out of the car
@@MatSnake5000 if you have a vice I would put it in that, or what andrew and I did was we had one person step on it and the other work the wrench
Good job....This will help..I have to do mine too👍🤓
1:19 You have your flag hanging wrong. The union is supposed to be facing to the upper left when it is hung in this orientation.
Thanks man perfect fucking timing with this video
No problem!
Shitty feeling aye. Mines starting to shit out now. Soon as the ps starts leaking the rack slides around like a prick
Yep gotta get her fixed!
