Water island US Virgin Island Day Trip - Hanging out with some friends and having a couple cold ones

Water Island is a minor island in the United States Virgin Islands, an American territory located in the Caribbean Sea. The rest of the U.S. Virgin Islands were acquired by the Americans in 1917 from Denmark, however Water Island was excluded, thus the Danish East Asiatic Company, and by proxy the Danish kingdom, continued to own Water Island until several decades later. Water Island was bought by the American government in 1944, and in 1996 it was transferred to the U.S. Virgin Islands. The island is of volcanic origin and lies to the south of Saint Thomas in the Charlotte Amalie harbor. Ferry service runs regularly from Crown Bay, Saint Thomas to Phillips Landing, Water Island; the ferry ride is about 10 minutes.
It's a quiet 492-acre island beckons travelers in search of a laid-back vacation. At the pristine Honeymoon Beach, which is a short walk from the ferry dock, you can swim, snorkel, kayak or chill by the beach bar. You can also bike around the island to view birds and other wildlife that call this place home, or hike up to the historic fort and explore remains of military fortifications.
We hung out with a good friend and kicked back with a ride around the island enjoying a couple cold ones!

So I see you visited H2O house, we own the large place right next door. Nice to see that the road down at the beach is now completed . We definitely love Heidi’s Grill .Thanks for sharing.
