I am so glad that you state such an opinion to one of Beethoven's earlier works, which deserve far more esteem in their own right than they commonly receive. I refer to such works, along with this, as the first two symphonies, the First Piano Concerto, and many of his early piano sonatas and early woodwind music. This 2nd Romance was actually the first to be written, but I consider it superior to the other. It has a mature lyricism that suggests the Violin Concerto. Despite its vintage, it bears the opus number 50 and certainly sounds it. This music directly speaks to one as very little of Mozart does by comparison, at least for me.
When you hear such clarity and sensitivity in a performance such as this, you might try to imagine the joy Beethoven would have experienced had he been alive to hear it.
Danke Opa 💖
It's immaterial whether Beethoven is the best or not. If a concert hall plays the best of Beethoven and the hall next door anyone else, the Beethoven hall will fill first. He is universal, more so than any other composer.
Tempest Sirius Well Bach is definitely baroque, their music is very different. But general yes of course they are major contenders, and to be honest picking favorites out of them all seems trivial. Why not enjoy all of their beautiful and very different music :)
Beethoven is and will always be my favorite classical composer I'm studying this piece again. It's very difficult on multiple levels sustaining bow with 16 notes to a bar, bowing techniques, separation of notes, phrasings, color, ornamentation with turns and trills and intonation. This is superb!!
Can't believe that it is Beethoven's work. But it is. How can I describe his work?just amazing. Can you feel the tenderness in this piece and how aggressive is he all around? This is the genius of him
In design school here we have an assignment of interpreting music as art, like Wassily Kandinsky paintings. I chose this one, one of my first songs of Beethoven. I'm hearing it again and again appreciating how much effort goes into this. Loving my time rn doing this assignment!!
Ludwig von Beethoven was the greatest composers on the World no word I can describe his work , just AMAZING. The performance was heart warming, Violinist a genius Thank you for the performance. Thank for shed de performance.
All you english authors. I am German and I love my country, my culture and my composers. Thank you for your friendly comments. Other countries have even fantastic compomsers. Thank you all. We are one world.
R. Capuçon gives a glorious resonating tonality, sensitive expressive emotion and full of enchanting melody. The orchestra performance is as well superb, lyrical and simply wonderful. Conductor Kurt Masur evokes LvB the powerful poetic tone in this beautiful rendition.
Fourth finger vibrato should be done by arm motion unlike the others which are done by hand . This was told to me by a great Russian violinist who won several competitions !
Who would have dared towrite such a piece? The finale of a piano concerto with a chorus....He pulls it off pretty wellindeed😂A quite accessable masterpiece....
A hegedűművész átéléssel adja elő. A Zenekar Kurt Mazur dirigálásával finoman kísérte a szólistát!!!!!!!!!
For him it was pretty easy, everyone has their levels of capacity, and, when I play piano, some parts are just so easy and/or repetitive I don't have to read the sheets :D
Beautiful piece in the grand St Nicolai Church setting by a talented violinist like yourself - Mr Renuad Capucon! We can see your great efforts in putting up this splendid performance - No Sweat :). I get to know this piece since 2007 and it has been deeply etched in my mind. When I chanced upon your playing here, I fell in love with it at first sight and first hear. The conductor, Mr Kurt Masur looks so fatherly and benevolent. I can never forget his sunshine smile at the end of the performance and also all the facial expressions of your supporting accompaniments team that made up this heavenly piece!
Grande e amado Beethoven! Brilhante e expressiva interpretação de Capuçon!
One of the best rendition is by Josef Suk and Henryk Szerygn. For a somewhat slower but beautifully rendered, played from the heart not from the fingers, go for Shlomo Mintz.
There's reasons why Beethoven is considered one of the greatest composer's throughout history. This piece is one of the reasons.

Is the best, never in there Will be the same in world. ❤
Quite so. I love this piece to death except that i am not quite dead yet so i can still enjoy it.
Sublissime!💓
my daughter is only 7 months old and when she listens to this song she pays attention
When you hear such clarity and sensitivity in a performance such as this, you might try to imagine the joy Beethoven would have experienced had he been alive to hear it.
If he could hear it.
he heard it in his head. keep in mind he wasn't deaf when he wrote this.
Imagine the joy in his heart when he wrote it - as he said "I will hear in heaven"
The rock music of the past still in the present.
@@jebclar8859 And how would he hear it back then? On his I-Pod?
Danke Opa 💖
Beethoven's music has so many textures and layers. I think he was perhaps the greatest of the classical composers.
It's immaterial whether Beethoven is the best or not. If a concert hall plays the best of Beethoven and the hall next door anyone else, the Beethoven hall will fill first. He is universal, more so than any other composer.
Beethoven is my prefer composer.

Yes he was the Einstein of the music world
What’s so hard to believe?
@@sophiabozok exactly!
no words do this justice ♥️ONLY beautiful feelings!!
It sounds like Mozart wrote it and Beethoven put his name on it.
This is so beautiful, so nostalgic. Man, I'm gonna cry
And me
one of most beautiful interpretation of Beethovan's romance I've heard before!
Beethoven makes our world a paradise with his finest piece of music as no one else could ever done 😍🥰
This piece is a 10 minute miracle - no other way to describe it. It's like spending 10 minutes in Heaven with an archangel showing you around.
Arguably the most beautiful piece of music ever written/composed
I walked down the aisle to this song at my wedding.
❤
God, I love this piece and what a fantastic performance. I could listen to it every day.

What a beautiful and gentle melody. I really enjoyed this performance. Thanks.
This is quite possibly the most beautiful melody line I’ve ever experienced. It forced tears from my eyes. It’s that powerful.
