I KNOW what Ezra and Thrawn ARE Doing

- Since 2014, the whereabouts of Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn have remained a mystery... Or have they? I've compiled evidence right from the Canon to foretell of their whereabouts and more importantly, what they've been doing since they left us.
By the way, I never expected so many comments from people saying that I sound like Eli Vanto 🤣😂👌🏽🤌🏽. Y’all are hilarious!
I think it’s the way you talk like you’re excited and angry at the same time lol
I like your theory. It makes sense. In legends didn’t Darth Cydia’s make the death stars. Yes, I mean plural death stars because there was a larger threat coming to the galaxy that Thrawn told him about? I could be wrong about that, but I could’ve swore. I read that somewhere a long time ago. The Asoka series could be a prelude to a new Star Wars trilogy at the movie theaters where we could see this all play out I would like to see the timeline being after the events of the episode nine the reason I’m saying that is when the rebel alliance Puts out their call for help to exit. Call all the ships come I wonder if Ezra and Fran came to that distress call. I would think not. That’s why I would place it after episode nine and let it be a prelude to a trilogy series you can we use Luke Skywalker as a force ghost, that would make sense.
Now that I would watch on screen. That would be interesting, fresh ideas.
It made the video a hundred times better lol
So this is what simps think about, who they sound like 🤦 get your Star Wars facts straight then make jokes you fucking mook.
I hope you’re having a blast right now. Spot on my guy
If live action Ezra doesn't claim to be Jabba or Lando at least once, i'll be very disappointed.
Ezra: I’m… Lando Calrissian.
Eli Vanto: Not likely.
Ezra: What makes you so sure that I’m not?
Eli: 1. Because Vah’nya here is a telepath and 2. Calrissian owes me a 5000 credit sabbac debt. Try again.
Vah’nya: (in Cheuhn) I can’t read his mind this way! And that was a lie!
Eli: (Cheuhn) Yeah, but he doesn’t know that.
I concur
@Patrick Stewart Eli: 3 Lando always wears a cape
same 😭😭
Even better if the person whom he is trying to deceive takes of his helmet to reveal Billy Dee Williams…
This works honestly, as fan-fic'y as it sounds, it still sounds along the lines of something Disney should do to win back fans. Ezra may even genuinely (try to) befriend Thrawn, as it's already shown that Thrawn respects and admires anyone who can outplay him. Old canon leaned more into Thrawn becoming an Empire man, while new canon leans more into his Acendancy allegiances. Good video!
Haha thanks. I think you’re spot on with the different Thrawn portrayals. There’s a CLEAR difference between the canon trilogies and the EU trilogy
@@SW_Wayseeker There’s a series only in the EU?
@@venomshadowblood8353 Yeah.
@@crime_dog27 never knew that
@@venomshadowblood8353 he’s originally EU. The authors success was what got George thinking about the Prequels
The overall idea with this theory I agree with, things like Luke being busy, the sequels having nothing to do with the "Grysk War" I agree with further. But there really is room and time for more writing, characters, and perspectives. Regardless, I do think Thrawn and Ezra will form an alliance and we will take Timothy Zahn's canon route rather than remaking the Legends Thrawn.
Absolutely. I don’t care if I’m completely off the mark, BUT I just want to see them put flesh on the bones of Timothy Zahn’s work!
@@SW_Wayseeker Yes!! They should allow him to write in my opinion. He built up what Legends was most known and enjoyed for: The Legends Thrawn novels. He created new storylines in his canon novels while using some elements from the old ones.
Some don't want the canon novels because "they are repetitive" (perhaps referring to the Grysk) (and some of the people saying that haven't even gave them a read!) meanwhile they ask for another Heir to the Empire...
I understand why people want another Heir to the Empire but they **must** understand Zahn probably won't be writing that unless he does get hired as a writer and Dave tells him to do that. Also, when Zahn wrote those novels, it was almost entirely a full on free zone. There weren't any rules or events he could really contradict. That won't exactly be the case here.
I believe Ezra is dead. Remembering that Thrawn introduced the ysalamiri to the Star Wars Universe and that the ysalamiri create pockets that the force can not operate in, I believe that Ezra was the first victim of Thrawn's discovery. I also don't believe that Kanan Juruss knew how to become a force ghost therefore Ezra wouldn't know either. That would be the reason why he wasn't heard in The Rise of Skywalker or seen in later continuity.
@@estrat12 The Ysalamiri is Legends, they aren't canon anymore (along with the old 1990s novels) they are all Legends and not canon anymore. Also, it was confirmed by Dave himself that BOTH Ezra and Thrawn are indeed alive.
All the Legends novels are discontinued. They were removed from canon and placed under "Legends" after Disney bought Star Wars.
@@estrat12 Here is the list (so far) of the current canon Thrawn novels: Thrawn, Thrawn Alliances, Thrawn Treason, Thrawn Ascendancy Chaos Rising, Thrawn Ascendancy The Greater Good, and Thrawn Ascendancy The Lesser Evil.
There is no mention of Ashoka or Ezra in the sequel trilogy, that’s cause the sequel trilogy only cares about itself and doesn’t care about past events other than the empire and Palpatine
You better quit before Disney sends a cleaner after you 🤣🤣rofl
I suggest, though I intend no projection of myself as someone whose suggestions 'matter', that the sequels be declared as having occurred in an alternate reality, should declaring them non-canon prove unfeasible at the moment.
And they only care about that in that they can use it to their idiotic ends
If I remember correctly, ashoka was a voice in rise of skywalker which meant that she died before the force awakens ezra seems to be still alive effectively, making him the actual last jedi
Don't think a sequel trilogy has been made as yet.
I hope Vanto makes an appearance in Ahsoka, him and thrawn are such a cool dynamic in the first novel

Ahsoka was no longer a Jedi since before the end of the Clone Wars, so Luke’s statement is true whether Ahsoka is in the galaxy or not (assuming he doesn’t know Ezra’s whereabouts). It doesn’t require her to leave
Well yea because if yoda doesn’t consider ahsoka then Luke should be the same since yoda did say Luke would be the only Jedi currently.
Welp, according to most of the showrunners themselve during Celebration last week, it does require them to leave. They've stated they needed a reason to explain where Mandoverse and rebels characters were during ep 7-9. So, that settles that.
Good theory. You made some excellent points about Ezra and Thrawn. Keep up the good work!
🙌🏽🤍
No, because this story will be much better than the sequels whilist at the same time period, so disney will not let that happen.
Lololol
Disney won't let that happen because they fucked up the sequel trilogy what they need to do is declare the "sequels" not Canon and make dave filoni to direct the Canon sequel trilogy
I really really wished they waited to make the sequel trilogy because if all these shows were out and taken into consideration how cool they could’ve been
Again, they really should've made a core plot for the sequel trilogy in the first place. You can change the script later on if you need to but keep the skeleton of your narrative sturdy
I hope a way is found to declare the events of the 'sequels' as having occurred in a different reality, should declaring them non-canon prove unfeasable at the moment.

In the Thrawn books, when Vader and Thrawn overhears the term Grysk, it was the first time that he sensed emotion come from Thrawn (who he knew was already well composed). No doubt, the Grysk are a genuine threat to the galaxy and it was one of the reasons why Thrawn joined the Empire to begin with. Here's hoping that Ezra will find Eli Vanto. :)
Ah, so that's what Disney choose to replace the Yuuzhan Vong with
Lol. The Grysk Hegemony and the Yuuzhan Vong are TOTALLY different.
Whew, good thing then. I wouldn't want the vong to be replaced. Never heared of the grysk before though.
@@SW_Wayseeker lowkey what if Vong could be teased in that new Rey movie
@@LordKalte Nah, more like the Vaagari.
Interesting theory. After listening to the Trawn books, I’ve decided that he is not evil himself, but chose a side that exhibited what he perceived as creating and maintaining order. I think he looked at the bigger picture and overlooked the “little things” and did what was necessary as a warrior to get a specific outcome even if he didn’t agree with the methods to get there. I could see him speaking plainly to Ezra and through the Force, Ezra coming to an understanding of Thrawns ultimate desire, the protection of his people.
does anyone also think like me that Ezra is basically the coolest jedi? He literally summoned an army of space whales to defeat the empire in a battle
He’s amazing! Absolutely in my Top 3
Top 10 in my eyes
anakin takes the cake for me, but ezra is pretty cool. i like how crafty he can be with weapons
He's a very strong young man, in power and heart
It helps that every Jedi seems to have their specialty.
Anakin, being the Chosen One, was pretty much a master of everything except for patience, but he really could do almost anything
Qui-Gon's specialty was attuning to the Living Force, and so was wiser than anyone among the Jedi, even more than Yoda himself
Yoda has the most experience of them all
Dooku was one of the best duelists in the Galaxy who wasn't Anakin, Yoda, or Windu
Speaking of Windu, he knew how to deflect Dark Side aggression with his own kind of,a unique ability
Obi-Wan was patient and THE master of defensive combat, bar none
Ezra, meanwhile, while his lightsaber skills are just about alright compared to the rest, his main specialty is Mind Control (Dark Side) and Tame Beast (Light Side). He's also like the only Jedi who is as deadly with a blaster as he is with a lightsaber, so he had no issues on board Thrawn's ship
I think it would be very cool to see this as a season or side show of it's own!
That would defenetly be an interesting story! I like the idea of relocating the Ezra/Ahsoka/Thrawn plot line into the unknown regions. There is so much potential for good stories to be told, without having to adapt too much to the sequel desaster.
If it DOESN’T go the way you’ve laid out and Thrawn is just a big bad and not an anti-hero, I’ll feel awfully bad for Timothy Zahn, who worked really hard to make Thrawn a more nuanced, interesting character over 6 books. For added fun, they could do a love triangle with Ezra, Sabine, and say, Che’ri, but that could get pretty corny pretty quick.
I've had the same thought. I want to see a grown-up Che'ri interact with Ezra.
Agreed!!! I've been saying that for a while. Not to mention.. Zahn is just an incredible amazing story writer. How could they NOT let him write or write WITH HIM!
It would indeed feel bad for tim zahn and us who invested a lot of time in those 6 books. I rrally like thrawn especially in the first book. His relationship with eli in thrawn and treason are amazing
Thrawn isn't an anti hero. He's a nuanced and fascinating character who starts with noble intentions but ultimately becomes a villain.
I mean, they didn't really. Thrawn was always just flat out a bad guy. He respected his adversaries, but he wasn't merciful, he was tactical. Same as in Rebels. The one area they didn't do enough was show how Thrawn used art to devise strategy. How he could see what an enemy was going to do because of that cultures art. They didn't do enough there. But they showed him as a tactician, as a great fighter, having respect for Hera, Ezra, Sabine.
But like in the books, he was a bad guy helping an even worse guy by harming innocents. In the book, he was more than willing to take advantage of a subjugated species who didn't know the empire was the one who had poisoned their planet. I really wish Rebels had included more Noghri and kept Rukh alive so he could get revenge for Honoghr. (Not sure I spelled that right)
I always assumed they died a horrible death of asphyxiation due to the bridge being exposed to the vacuum of space.
Ezra probably made a Force bubble along with suspending the glass shards of the window in mid motion.
@@jamesbellefeuille2926 It is likely that I am flying too high, but I wonder whether Thrawn will introduce Ezra to the Chiss Ascendancy, and to Eli Vanto and Ronan by extension. These characters from the novel must appear on screen someday.
Finally! I've been saying the same thing there both dead.
Absolutely. The Empire has never demonstrated internal force shields to keep in atmosphere on their ships. Thrawn and Ezra are dead. If they are not, they will have to retcon the hell out of that last fight in Rebels or all of SW star destroyer lore. Of course it will all happen because money.
Bold of you to assume Disney would ever kill off a major charecter.
I never thought Thrawn was evil: just very talented and motivated by things we weren't privy to at the time of Heir to the Empire.
I figured that Ezra would end up with the Chiss Asendancy in there sky-walker program helping the children
This is almost exactly like what I have been hoping they do with the story, except you gave more details as to how it could work which were really great. The new canon Thrawn trilogy is my favorite book series, and I really hope this is the direction these Star Wars shows go.
Really interesting and educated theory, definitely earned my sub. I really hope the Ahsoka show gives us a good answer on Thrawn and Ezra. Their rivalry was so good towards the end of Rebels, and I think the respect was already there. Thrawn respected how Ezra powerful was at such a young age, while Ezra respected Thrawn’s strategic genius. I trust in Dave Filoni but not Disney, so I can only hope we’ll get a good payoff
You sound just like Mark Thompson doing Eli Vanto. Also, you came up with the same fan theory that I did, so I hope we are right. I will add that I would love to see Ezra hook-up with a grown-up Che'ri.
this is one of the first videos I've watched that describes what I hope happens for the Ahsoka series. many others are under the assumption that Thrawn will be the main adversary, but then if that's the case what were all the Thrawn books setting us up for? We need the Grysks to be the common enemy! that's very interesting that you think Ahsoka showing up in BOBF was before she and Sabine meet up. but it makes sense if we're looking at it from a gandalf/LOTR perspective.
Awesome theory. I also hope that Grogu becomes a part of this conflict because if not, then he is probably dead during the new trilogy and that would be sad and a waste. This also goes for Din Djarin and Mandolorians.
Yes! I wonder if he’ll unite Mandalore by the end of S3 and we’ll see some type of Grysk/Chiss conflict with Mandalore providing aide. Who knows
Grogu can very much be alive during the new trilogy, in the outer rim or not. Simply speaking if he keeps following din djarin, he isn't a jedi technically speaking. As such, Luke would consider himself the last jedi.
Sith Lord Grogu
I am sure they will not kill Grogu
I 100% could see Ezra taking Thrawns side and maybe even turning to the dark side. Maybe not both. I can see him joining Thrawn bc Thrawn is persuasive and smart, but Thrawn also is trying to rally people to fight a bigger enemy.
I can see Ezra going Dark over the anger/hatred he has against Thrawn, or maybe through torture.
Masters and apprentices, thats what its all about! Finally Star Wars is back!
Given that the Grysk are the Disney canon version of the Yuzzhan Vong I could see Ezra joining forces with Thrawn to defeat them. He may not like Thrawn but his empathetic nature with living things, plus his trust in the Force, would see him standing against the Grysk even if that meant working with Thrawn.
Ironically there was a plan for Ezra to appear in The Rise of Skywalker, kicking Sith Trooper butts with a green lightsabre but the filmmakers felt that it would be confusing as those watching wouldn't know who this strange Jedi, who is the same age as Luke actually he's a day or two older, was. Especially as he had never been mentioned before in the laughingly called sequel trilogy.
I still think that the world between worlds could be used to create an alternate timeline from the sequels. Say that Ezra saving Ahsoka would create a separate timeline where she was alive to tell the mandalorian to take Grogu to the Jedi beacon. This would mean the empire couldn’t study Grogu and Snoke is never created. I don’t know if this is too complicated but I think it would be cool to create an alternate post endor. This could include many more EU like stories in the form of tv shows instead of movies
Well the one major alteration from the original trilogy that has been consistent is the battle of jakku being the true end of the empire. Yavin and Endor were indeed major victories and truly the turning points in favor of the rebellion. But jakku had yet erased or completely hush hushed.
And I also agree and definitely think the world between worlds will be the biggest factor into the Ashoka series and possibly create an alternate timeline that runs parallel to the sequel trilogy. Not erasing the events just rerouting the main narrative and overarching story
@@Nogdog945 Yeah. You’re right about Jakku, my bad. The alternate timeline would give us the best of both worlds without erasing the sequels like you said.
@@Nogdog945 Is it really an alteration though? The battle of Jakkuu would have happened post RoTJ, meaning we'd not expect to hear about it in the OT.
I would save Jyn Erso and Andor with the world between worlds.
That was a really nice video! I’m really glad it got recommended to me.
„We will watch your career with great interest.“
I truly hope they carry on the story of the Cannon Thrawn books. The Grisk invasion is coming and I would love to see it in live action.
They contracted Timothy Zahn to write 6 books at lightning speed from 2014 to 2022. I can’t imagine that they would put that load on him for nothing to come from it. IMO
Food for thought. Don't forget to include Grogu and him becoming a Mandalorian and Dark Saber wielder. He may go out to the edges of unknown space and help Ezra. Grogu is not seen in the later trilogies. Thoughts?
Do the Purrgil have a homeworld? Maybe that's where they went, even briefly
I do remember briefly thinking and hoping that at the end of Mando 2x5, when Ahsoka sees off the Razor Crest in that lighter cloak, that she would maybe then contact Sabine and tell her she knows where to go - leading directly into the Rebels epilogue and such
Your first assertion is shaky. Based on Luke’s statement that he was the last of the Jedi religion…Ahsoka made it clear two times in Rebels that she did not identify with being a Jedi. Luke’s statement is still possibly correct*, however it is not a a definite proof that there was a resolution with the disposition of Ezra and Thrawn.
Ahsoka’s relationship with Jedi identity was stated first when Ezra, Kanan and Ahsoka went to the ancient Jedi temple on Lothal and it was time to perform the Master & Apprentice ritual required to open the Lothal Jedi Temple. She deferred to Kanan & Ezra performing the ritual as she explained that she had voluntarily left the Jedi Order. The second instance was when Ahsoka and Vader were dueling in the Sith Temple on Malichor. Ahsoka firmly declared, “I’m no Jedi!”
*So what about Ezra? He was a Padawan at best when he & Thrawn disappeared. He was well aware of Ahsoka’s non-Jedi affiliation yet she remained a powerful light sided wielder. This was something Ezra was well aware of. It’s not unreasonable to consider that Ezra simply followed a similar path to Ahsoka’s path, or he could have become a dark side wielder or he continued to follow the Jedi path; however it’s not known which path he chose.
To dogmatically posit that Luke’s “I’m the last one” statement is proof that there has been a resolution to the the situation at the end of Rebels by ≈ 30 ABY is, as I said, shaky.
Actually, I made a solid argument. My final piece of evidence revolved around the expansion of the Grysks. IF this is the direction they move in, then the Grysks are gonna be a BIG deal. Given that the sequels are 30 years after ROTJ and the Republic remained intact (until the Hosnian Cataclysm) it is absolutely safe to say that the Grysks did not suceed in moving deeper into the galaxy (Check out Thrawn Alliances.)
As for the Jedi Religion, what I said is true. Luke CAN say that He's the last Jedi WHILE it is also true that Ahsoka and Ezra are building something NEW in the Unknown Regions. Both statements can be true at the same time. I absolutely believe that Ezra follows Ahsoka's path. He is NOT turning to the dark side. If you study the character and WHY they made the character, then it's pretty clear to see what they want to accomplish with him.
I know that Ahsoka says she isn’t a Jedi, but in reality she’s more Jedi than the Jedi in the prequels were. So when she says that, I understand it as she’s trying to separate herself from the way the order had become. They weren’t in touch with the force anymore. They became corrupt and blind to what was actually happening. She’s more in line with Qui-Gon or Luke. That is, until Luke told Grogu to make that choice. I honestly don’t know why they made that creative decision. But she’s not some gray Jedi or “someone who uses both sides of the force”, whatever that means. She’s everything a Jedi should be, besides both her and Luke seemingly not being aware that having attachments is a good thing, not bad.
I just want to add that Ezra could only still become a Jedi if he meets another Jedi who could Knight him which in his Timeline is pretty much impossible as Luke is probably the only one that could do that (and maybe Cal Kestis if he is still alive after Return of the Jedi which I hope but not believe). The only other way he could be knighted is through a Force-Ghost doing it (which is actually more probable than him finding a Jedi in the actual Galaxy). So I believe as well that he will never become a true Jedi Knight and I think that is actually a pretty interesting story (and also different to Ahsoka as he has way less Decision in not becoming a Jedi)
Thrawn might try a different tactic:
Thrawn: No, Mr. Bridger. I am not the Emperor. I have no intentions on violating you. I believe they call him an " well-known old cheek-buster. Ah yes, that's it, a booty bandit" Very much uncivilized. Your Captain Syndulla however...is a different matter. No, i will not force myself on her either. I want her to come to me of her own free will. I can wait. I suggest a truce to get us out of our predicament that has removed us from the galaxy-at-large.
Knowing the lore, I've always thought the idea that Thrawn was working for the Empire/First Order after Rebels and in the Mandoverse was silly. Honestly, I question whether Thrawn will even be a villain in the show
If we take the "canon Thrawn Timothy Zahn" route. We might still see him introduced as a "antagonist" but we are REALLY only watching what is happening, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE REBELS (Ahsoka, Sabine, Hera, ect)
Yay Way! Congrats on the big vid!!!
YYYAAASSS, why cant people see this! it almost upsets me that people cant come to this conclusion....
I think you are on track as I do believe they are attempting to recreate “Heir” in a new way. As I think JJ originally wanted the sequels to be Dark Empire in a new way.
This was a solid theory, and it lived up to the hype tag, so good job, nobody does that these days! I can’t really think of any reason why this wouldn’t work, although would this problem have dissipated itself prior to the last trilogy? Because as you said, there is no mention of it…perhaps the problem could be contemporaneous along the last trilogy, and end up being like you said, the next big conflict. That would be a nice gift to old school fans and new school fans alike. Keep up the good work!
I actually completely agree... I've read all the cannon thrawn books and watched all the shows, and this set up seems most plausible. Excited to see how they portray the Grysk, Ar'alani, and of course my fave Thrawn himself.
Having read the thrawn books, I absolutely feel like your right and the grisk are going to eventually be a major threat.
Its definitely the logical conclusion to thrawns story and with such a major conflict I don't see how it wouldn't be a major point in the future starwars show content.
Its just kind of crazy how you likely wouldn't have any idea about thrawns motivations, or (how I see it) the directions the shows are likely to take without having read the most recent timothy zahn books.
I however didn't read the "Heir to the Empire" trilogy because I assumed the content wouldn't fit well within current cannon but there's definitely gonna be motivation from that in the new stuff coming out.
I like this idea. Hopefully they do something interesting with the four characters mentioned in your video. Expanding into the Chiss and Unknown regions would be pretty cool.
I love your hypothesis and I think you are right, I also love how confident you are when you record. I wish I was
Agree with some of this - though I’m not sure how much of it is out of hope they use the fantastic setups Tim Zahn gave them.
I definitely think they’re in the unknown regions, though I’m dubious as to how visible they are given the fractious nature of the great houses in the Chiss ascendency and their natural xenophobia for lesser races.
I think Thrawn and Ezra have come to a mutual understanding, I think (hope) the eventual contact with Ar'alani and Eli Vanto will push Ezra to understand the more rounded picture of who Thrawn really is.
I think there will be interest from Asohka in Chiss force users, which will create conflict in the ascendancy as skywalkers are valuable commodities and the ascendency is a delicately balanced eco system.
If they decide to fully flesh the story I can basically see conflict within the ascendency, with the Grysk and with one another. It’s a huge opportunity to present new worlds and ideas, the new Thrawn canon was some of my favourite SW work but I’m just super cautious of whether Disney can really present anything that mature.
Love the channel so far! I’m a new sub!
I also think that thrawn let Ezra take him with the purgil in order to have a reason to get away from the empire and palpatine because what kind of “talk about loyalties” would palps actually have with thrawn and he knows that.
Nice video bro. Good editing. I hope you grow quick and well
Thank you 🙌🏽. I’m really enjoying the process and hope to keep getting better!
Thank you 🙌🏽. I’m really enjoying the process and hope to keep getting better!
I love this theory, I had the same idea (though I never thought that the purgil could latch onto Thrawn’s thoughts too. That’s a interesting idea). Although I don’t believe it. Don’t get me wrong, everything lines up (but I think Thrawn’s likely in the Unknown Regions or Wild Space, not the outer rim). It would make so much sense. If we’re being real, I don’t think we’re getting the morally grey Thrawn from the canon books. We’re getting Thrawn as our antagonist, heir to the empire Thrawn (love that Thrawn too. But legends and canon thrawn are different). I don’t think lucasfilm’s writing staff is going to use stuff established by Zahn. The only thing I’d say against that is, why would Zahn create the Grysks? U don’t make a massive threat like that and then have it resolved off to the side. I just don’t see that happening. Whatever happens, i just want to see Admiral Ar’alani in live action, that women is a legend
Maybe so. That’s the interesting thing about the Purgil.. we have nooo idea what they can or can’t do. I think it’ll be fun learning more about them!
Great video! You did a good job editing it! Love this theory and can’t wait for Ashoka!
5:25 to 5:42 This goes to show “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” This video seems very accurate. Well done. Also, if Ezra and Ashoka train others in the Force, they’ll likely teach them to balance the light and dark abilities and uses. This will make them Grey Jedi, who have the best understanding of the Force and how to balance it.
I think you’re on the right track for sure. Hyperspace travel isn’t instantaneous, once they make the jump I think Thrawn will realize he should work with Ezra for the moment. After all, Ezra is in direct control of the Purgill. Thrawn will perhaps communicate directions through Ezra to the purgill to direct them to his people’s territory. It would echo the hat he did with Vader in the second thrawn novel.
Honestly I would love it if this were the case, Star Wars really needs to start creating unique new villains. I have had the exact same idea and hopes for the new show, fingers crossed!!!
I guess we're gonna see how this plays out. Great work!
I like this theory a lot. I think Ezra/Thrawn as reluctant allies in their exile makes a lot of sense and one of the only scenarios where they’d both return alive. And I think what happens when they return he is anyone’s guess, but other than that by like where your heads at. I also like the idea of good or bad Force users out there that don’t identify as Jedi or Sith.
What I wanna know is what happened to the tens of thousands of Imperial crewmen and the 9,700 strong Stormtrooper garrison on board.
Here after the trailer and your theory still holds up. If that's not the plot of the series, I'll be disappointed because ngl your theory is perfect
You are amazing! Thanks!
I think that in the Ahsoka series, Ezra is either a prisoner or Thrawn successfuly turned him to the Dark Side. Ahsoka and Luke will have to team up to save and return Ezra to the Light. That will tie in with the Mandalorian Civil War that is on the horizon in the Mando show, through Sabine
This is the best theory I’ve heard yet. Well-reasoned and researched. I would like to see Eli Vanto make an appearance
This is a solid and great theory!! You should write for the Filoni verse!!
I greatly appreciate you saying that!
Super relevant 1 year later, thank you!
THIS is what Ive been thinking.... everyone else thinks Thrawn is a "bad guy," which from a matter of perspective he was at the time. But he wasn't in the inner rim because he was an Imperial like all of the Shadow Council. He was doing what he needed to for the Chiss. And at the end of the day the Grisk are a bigger bad then the empire.
please give me hope for the grysk war....
I love this take on it- it really sounds like a great fresh start/branch of the Star Wars Universe. I hope it does work out something like this.
I greatly appreciate it. Whatever happens, I just hope it’s monumental.
Man this is so good, which is why I'm scared Disney wouldn't give us the pure good
This makes sense and is a logical conclusion coming from Eli Vanto himself
This is great and Honestly what I've been theorizing with all we have so far, from the 'Mando Universe' , Rebels and the Thrawn Trilogy.. I've thought Ezra was going to be riding that fine line between Darkside and Light, But still good.. He will choose to survive with thrawn in the Unknown Regions and it's because Of what the Grysk threaten.. Also agree Thrawn isn't forming the Empire but what we see In Ahsokas Episode in Mando season 2. That episode felt so Dark and eerie I love it, and Think the Loth cat is a big hint to Ezra in that Episode, and what's coming in the Ahsoka Series..
I could definitely see the trio staying to help Thrawn especially with this new threat being a danger to the universe. Sabin could even teach them art as well as weapon tactics
This makes a lot of sense with new thrawn giving his oath of allegiance to the emperor himself and not the empire as a whole, whereas old thrawn was more invested in the empires vision
You said the outer rim at 4:18 mark. Don’t you mean the unknown regions?
I said the “outer rim” because it’s not policed as heavily after the New Republic forms. My thought is that since Thrawn has a comfortable familiarity with the outer rim, then he could strip resources from systems without much opposition (ie Morgan Elsbeth) but yeah. I believe he’s working in the Unknown Regions as well!
Hmmm very nice! I came to the same conclusion on my channel. Good job! I will watch your career with great interest!
They ran away together into the sunset, changed their identities and are living happily married in another galaxy far far away.
Makes sense that Ezra and Thrawn are shown to have some experiences which lead to mutual respect and inter-dependence - not friendship, and neither is pledging loyalty to the other. The main conflict dynamic then becomes showing the Vong in all their hideous, implacable destruction and hunger, and the Ahsoka / Sabine / Huyang / Hera team having to overcome their suspicion and skepticism about Thrawn, and whether Ezra has been turned.
At this rate they'll fk about for another 5 Eps getting out of the galaxy.
I don't think Ezra is nowhere around Thrawn, he must be somehow lost in time, and I've always think he might end up being Disney's version of Revan given the changes in what used to be the climax of the mandalorian wars being changed to what now is called the great scourge of malichor. Or else why wouldn't he be back already, something else must be holding him back, I don't believe he's on the same timeline as everyone else, and he must be some place and timeline when there's not an open path like a temple or something else known to lead to the world between worlds or perhaps he just hasn't found it yet in whatever place he ended after that light speed jump with the purgill.
I think it makes perfect sense that if Thrawn and Ezra wound up somewhere near the Chiss Ascendancy, Thrawn would try to recruit Ezra for the defense of the Ascendancy by showing him the Chiss and the Empire/Republic have two future common enemies: The Grysk and the Yuuzhan Vong. And Ezra would understand the stakes and agree to fight these common enemies. Remember the scene after Thrawn's first arrival in the Empire meeting the emperor himself, mentioning he had met Anakin Skywalker before. The Emeror knew very well who it really was who was standing in front of him - Anakin had already told him all about Thrawn and what a brilliant strategist and military genius he was. That is why the Emperor didn't hesitate to allow Thrawn to be taken into the Empire's military training course.
Not long after that, Thrawn and his aide Eli Vanto are attacked out of nowhere by some of their fellow students who didn't take kindly to the notion of an alien (Thrawn) in their training program. Thrawn skillfully fends of the attack and could have easily have the attackers expelled and ruined their lives as he already was a lieutenant by then. But then he does something unusual: rather than have them punished, he advocates to have the attackers transferred to flight school, as in their attack he noticed some intrinsic skills that suggest they would be talented as pilots. He does something then sets them on a better path, but also benefits the Empire as a whole.
Surely, Thrawn would have noticed the many qualities Ezra has, so why not try to recruit him to join the side of the Chiss and help the fight against the Grysk? Ezra would see the value of that too and would likely agree.
This is such a dope theory and I hope that it comes to fruition in the coming series and movies.
Something like this could even set up a whole new series of films based on an extra-galactic threat which would do wonders towards continuing to bring the fan base back together.
I like to think Thrawn and Ezra alliance would start when the two have to work together to save a Chiss girl, a force-sensitive Chiss girl calling for help through the force. Ezra and Thrawn would learn of this, and the two put their difference aside to save the Chiss girl.
You made a lot of good points, got to give you credit, this is such a good theory. However, you were talking about how Luke said that he was the last Jedi and that Ahsoka and Ezra couldn't have been Jedi because it would break canon, I honestly think that is not an issue. Disney is in general trying to do content that is not centered around the sequel trilogy, I wouldn't be surprised if they fully retconned it. We could still have Ahsoka and Ezra be Jedi without it breaking canon. Also, I've seen alot of people say Ezra could be a dark side wielder now, but I think that is almost if not completely impossible. The whole point of Rebels is showing how Ezra learned good morals from his master Kanan, I don't think Ezra would trade anything that Kanan taught him for the ability to use the dark side. I personally think Ezra will stay in the light, but he might still help Thrawn defend his people against any alien threat, just my opinion tho
This is exactly what I've been thinking the entire time since the first hint of ahsoka.
Oh so NOW RUclips recommends this...🙃
Love this theory BTW. Whether the Ahsoka show serves more as a loose re-imagining of Heir to the Empire (with tie-in shows or sequel seasons adapting Dark Force Rising and The Last Command) or as more of a capstone to the Thrawn books and Rebels series as a whole, I'm sure the show will rock hard, Space Whales or no Space Whales (but preferably Space-Whales!!!).
Just imagine it, the Dark Force fleet being commandeered by Hera Syndula and Jacen (and maybe Gambino's Lando), the former enemies-to allies-to maybe friends now-to we'll see what happens next between Mara and Luke but with Barriss and Ahsoka, EZRA TEACHING LITTLE BLUE KIDS HOW TO USE THE FORCE ON A JUNGLE WORLD FULL OF LITTLE GECKOS THAT USE FORCE-STEALTH???
EZRA AND SABINE REUNITING???
EVEN MORE SPACE WHALES!!!???
I feel like they're fighting off the Grysks somehow. (And you DO sound like the narration of Eli from the audiobooks XD)
Thrawn respect and understanding of cultures will ultimately rope Ezra in. I belive we're up for a Thrawn-Ezra partnership. A 'logical' partnership, a romance even...
It’s the only way to have a new order in hiding. I hoped we would get a story where Windu sent some masters and Padawans into hiding far away. It would take generations to rebuild anything near the order . Your theory works well.
I like the idea of a new SW offshoot in a different galaxy, giving Filoni his own space to work and create.
That has big implications for the Ahsoka show.
i actually think thrawn is gonna befriend ezra, after realizing how week the empire is and how it is an incapable candidate for fighting of the Grysks but it may not reach that point until after he learns that Empire has fallen. or thrawn works with ezra only because thats the only chance of survival. i also think that eli vanto has a chance to show up
First order causing mess to the republic tells me that they see no external alien threat and I doubt Thrawn may have convinced them.
First Order firepower is just too big to ignore by Thrawn.
This theory is like 4 years old. It has been elaborated and foretold by several youtubers so it is obvious why Disney will abandon it even if it was their initial plan for the events to happen similarly
I really hope u are right I have always thought that they went into the unknown regions and it would go really nicely with Timothy zhans books. Great theory and one I really hope is true
The world between worlds is already an established infrastructure for galactic (possibly extra galactic) travel…it can be used to help re-map the galaxy
And yes: the new heroes from filoni need their own enemies/battles in order to grow as characters (also grows their universe and commercial revenue in our universe)
I wanna see the rakata
I doubt Disney would put a plot this interesting or complex together.
I appreciate your video, great thoughts!
i really hope the ahsoka show helps wrap up the thrawn books and doesnt just make him a villain that loses to the force users almost every time, but that prolly why he employs the dark jedi to counter that factor
I belive this very much aswell. Ive read somewhere that Ezra will not be fighting with a lightsaber but use some kind of kung fu mixed with the force. Thrawn is a master at martial art and is probably the one to teach him this. I'm with you! :D
Logical. Though it could go a lot darker, hopefully not.
Yes. The exciting thing is that there are so many different things they can do with the storyline
@@SW_Wayseeker Ezra WAS a full fledge Jedi at the end of Rebels, granted he never underwent the official trials, but I think he had his own version, and two trials of the spirit with choosing not to save Kannon, and resisting Palpatine's temptation. Now, I truly hope we see him get a happy ending, and personally for me, I hope the current stuff just plain decanonizes the sequels because they were BAD! Those movies almost killed the franchise for me, only Mando and BOBF revived my love of it. I only saw the new series this year when I got Disney+
Seems possibly what Filoni has in mind with Ezra joining Trawn and with Ashoka & Sabine making their way to find Ezra it’s important that this episode 5 lesson by Anakin was taught to Ashoka and I certainly think they’re gonna be some head-butting when they find each other but it’s possible that Star Wars is gonna become perhaps part of something else completely and maybe a two-part galaxy saga.
Its a sound Theory but how does the assistant director from Treason factor into your theory?
I am curious if that is a factor.
Or was he spaced?
I hope we see Ronan in Andor... JUST IMAGINE... Some random imperial in the background... Dying his hair the same color as Krennic's 🤣🤣🤣
Lol... let's not give the creators of the sequel trilogy that much credit. Great ideas in this video and you are more than likely spot on.
I like it. I can see Asokha seeing the true Enemy next to Thrawn and saying, “ We are not ready”.
You present a very interesting set of perambulators.
It would certainly be ironic if Ahsoka and Ezra train the Chiss force sensitives as grey force users. They can show up in the new Rey movie while she's struggling to rebuild the Jedi to let her know they already got that in hand and not to worry.
That or they all die fighting the Grisk. I assume as Ahsoka spoke to Rey that she's probably dead.
One possible issue is that the First Order, Starkiller Base, Ahch-to and Exegol are all themselves in the Unknown Regions with, presumably, the Chiss and the Grisk.
Maybe the First Order had already cut its teeth defeating the Grisk in alliance with the Chiss before turning its attention to the New Republic. Maybe Ezra has some connection to the Knights of Ren...
Great video. I totally agree with you and this theory makes a lot of sense
This is a cool idea because it gives a gray area reason for Thrawn and Ezra to come together instead of the boring extremes of Ezra is a Sith. Or. Ezra is dead.
