Hi Sean, I'm not sure if you'll ever get to read this, but I still feel like I should write this. I'm still trying to get my head back in it's place and my shit together after your gig in Poznan, Poland on July 1st - what a show that was! It's been so special seeing you and the rest of the WSS bunch for the first time ever, surreal even, considering I've tried to see you lots of times since 2014, when I first discovered While She Sleeps. Ever since then, all the attempts seemed to fail, as in 2014 you Guys were supposed to support Bullet For My Valnetine in Warsaw, but some logistic misshap took place iirc. Then there were a couple more attemps, but sometimes money wasn't tight enough for me to go, other times covid and other logistic issues seemed to come on top of things... However, finally, after 10 years of listening to your band and feeling so inspired by all the work you guys put in, all the work you yourself put in... I was able to see you play live. I'd lie if I said I didn't cry during the Poznan gig. I cried, I laughed, I raged, there were tears of happiness and tears of overwhelming emotions. I even had a note written for all Sleeps members to share a read to, but was unable to hand it to you - didn't manage to catch either you, Loz, Mat, Aaran or Sav before or after the gig and I fully get that - you need your rest and we know how some fans can be, no matter how much admiration you can have towards us. You are such a huge inspiration and a motivation for me, to keep pursuing what I love and praise in this life, to keep on keeping on! Sending lots of love towards you and all the people involved in making Sleeps Society what it is - a place where all are welcome! I'm happy to say that I'm definitely a SLEEPS-lifer, no matter where life takes me. I wholeheartedly believe your music saved me.
