This reminds me of my late friend who committed suicide 💔 we were huge Terminator geeky nerds and rewatched T2 over and over again throughout our teens. We knew the lines off by heart. Lisa, I think about you all the time and miss you so much. Rest in peace trailblazer 🔥 xo
I loved this back in 91 I was a 20 year old apprentice jockey in Newmarket remember at fall in race and said as going in ambulance " ill be back... asta la vista baby" lol
I remember this from Stevie Wright Radio 1 afternoon radio show. He had a Co-worker who did an excellent impression of Arnie who put together this brilliant fun track. I think he was called Mike Wallings or something similar. This has to go on to my ipod lol.
OK, I was 12 when this came out, and taped it off the radio, but god, what was I thinking? Actually I know what I was thinking, I wasn't old enough to see T2 at the cinema so somehow this was the closest I could get. Odd times!
I remember hearing this back in the day. Also, I remember hearing Jim Bowen on Wright's afternoon show round about 1991 saying "Super, smashing, great. Look at what you could've won. Why is it always a speedboat?".
Brilliant song. I remember first hearing this in August 1991. It was in the charts at the same time as Oceanic Insanity. I’ll be back has a similar sound to Partners in Kriemhild Turtel Power the year before.
This goes along with the sketchs that were on Steve Wright's show. Arnee buying a record, or standing in an election. Always ending in him shooting the place up. Great stuff.
Imagine my disappointment when watching terminator 2 when 10 years old and buying this thinking it was you could be mine by guns and roses, adding to it, I had no clue it was called you could be mine by guns n roses, no google , no phone, no I pad, no hey siri, no Spotify, no Shazam , nothing I could do to find this awesome song I heard in a film , until ages afterwards, I probably didn’t find out and buy use your illusion 2 for about a couple of years later
This single had a B-side called "Environment News". Does anyone know if that was recorded just for the single? Or was it used elsewhere (e.g. Steve Wright's radio show)?
First record i ever bought, i was 9 and took it to my methodist primary school's end of year party, the school vicar was the DJ and I hoodwinked him into playing it ha ha, should've seen the look on his face as he cottoned on to the song, it ended up getting pulled just before the Hasta La Vista Baby bit and all the cool kids booed him....never liked that prick.
Wow. This is better than the whole Genysis movie!
i actually liked that film
I never watched any Terminator movie after the second one
Sadly, you’re not wrong there!
Don't worry my friends,
He'll be back
Rest in Peace Sreve Wright. 1 of the greatest DJs in my lifetime.. Radio will not be the same without you
One of his finest moments
We came here for Steve Wright, Legend ! ❤️🩹

R.I.P. BBC Radio 1 & 2 DJ Steve Wright who passed away today aged 69.
Rest in Peace Steve Wright ❤
I remember hearing this on the radio when I was a kid. Up until now I thought it was a fever dream, but here it is. Lol
Remember seeing these at Blackpool beach when the Radio 1 roadside came. Was working at Pontins and had afternoon off to go.
RIP Steve, played this in the car when I heard. It was always the Posse even when on Radio 2😎.
What a throwback. I still have this on cassette tape.
"If your lover gives you the elbow or your threatened with the sack, just look 'em in the eye an' as nice a pie say I'LL BE BACK"
Oh jeez that's gold.
It's not that I'm ill-mannered or a psychopathic hater,
I just like to be treated right like any terminator.
Masterful.
R.I.P. Steve Wright😢
I loved this back in 91 I was a 20 year old apprentice jockey in Newmarket remember at fall in race and said as going in ambulance " ill be back... asta la vista baby" lol
R.i.P Steve Wright Genius ahead of his time..!

PMSL! This track certainly brings back memories and makes me giggle like a kid who's had too many sweets!
I still have the 7" single! RIP Steve Wright 😢

me too, bought it in 1991
Me too!
Oh dear! I don't think I'd admit to that!
Still absolute gold.
Nobody does stuff like this any more.
And better than 90% of modern pop music.
Ok thats an exaggeration, its closer to 99%.
Then it’s an underestimation
wow not heard this for 20 years had it on my cassette taped off the radio when i was about 7 along with the prodigy charlie says good upload m8

I was 12 round about this time too and I still went. In fact, I saw it at the cinema twice! Just made myself look older, worked a treat!
This was a cassingle ya know... 😂
I don't remember it being this awful, lol!
They must have had so much fun making this. "Long live Steve Wright and The Posse" indeed, gone too soon.
at my age its now ow me back 🤣🤣🤣
lol
Me too. I’m all stooped and stuff..
And on the B-side was the theme for "Environment News". Oldie but classic. RIP Steve,
What a blast from the past. I can remember T2 being released and being blown away, it was an amazing film!
Rest in peace Steve.
Absolutely outstanding!
Ladies and gentlemen
This is ‘The Room’ of music
This song is somehow horribly fantastic!!
Great little comedy track! I even bought this on 7" vinyl.
I still have this on cassette, but nothing to play it on
Shame it wasn’t released on cd single. It’s on a compilation cd of the 1990s. I bought the cd 2 years ago.
Absolutely brilliant, only found this the other day
I remember hearing this back in the day. Also, I remember hearing Jim Bowen on Wright's afternoon show round about 1991 saying "Super, smashing, great. Look at what you could've won. Why is it always a speedboat?".

RIP Steve Wright. His R1 show when I was in the 6th form was essential listening
Rest in peace Steve Wright.

This should be played to the head of Radio 2 who has axed the best on its station, only leaves Ken left, how long has he got.

It hasn't dated at all. (I have this on 7" somewhere)
Cassette myself!
The second track needs a listen too. It was good!

Fun Hit!
Does anyone remember his TV Show when Take That turned up without Robbie and then they admitted he'd left the group?
Wasn't this something to do with Steve Wright the DJ
This single had a B-side called "Environment News". Does anyone know if that was recorded just for the single? Or was it used elsewhere (e.g. Steve Wright's radio show)?
