s Philippines Gospel Musical called, " First Name". Gary V. recorded the song following the play. He wanted a female voice and rearranged this for Morissette to sing, as a tribute and honor Freddie who passed away in Dec. 2020 in a revived version of the play called..." First Name Anew " Dave Lamar, Mori's husband ( 6/2021) is a Christian from a Missionary family that runs a Orphanage called ," Faith, Hope & Love Kids Ranch " and helped re-affirmed Mori's faith in Jesus.
During the filming of this, the whole crew was crying at the end. Gary Valenciano, the original singer asked Morissette to perform this and rearranged it for her with no frills and this was the result. She is THE best story teller out there. It baffles me that she isn’t a huge hit in the U.S.
I have to admit this song made me cry... very emotional, and sing it perfectly 💖💖💖 love it

Thank you for reviewing this song. It’s a worship song. I’ve seen the video so many times, from different reactors like yourselves and the song still makes my eyes watery. There was an interview where Mori mentioned that the song was really hard to sing because there were so many words. I believe she got it right on the 2nd take. Thank you both!

Every time Morissette sing songs like these, she literally owned it vocally and emotionally. Her way of delivering the song is just so genuine and it is really effective. I heard her sing one of her original songs that talks about gospel and God same as this one, and it is called "Waterwalk". I never see her perform that Live, but the lyric video of that song just hits differently. It's a good, yet underrated, song. You should check that out.
She is singing to Jesus/God. Powerful song. From the first Philippines Christian Musical. I believe they did a revival of the soundtrack for the musical and Morissette sang this song and Gary Valenciano did the arrangement for her. She really knows how to convey the emotions of this song. As in all her songs. Great reaction guys!

Morisette's hardest song is "di mailiwanag" which means "can't fully explain" which has a rollercoaster of whistles..

This is from a Philippinen Christian Musical writen by Freddie Santos who sadly passed away in 2020 and the arrangement from Gary Valenciano who sang this back in 1990 and rearranged for the beautiful Morissette Amon, Mori's husband Dave lamar did the videotogragher and was involved in editing and directing great work from everyone involved, just beautiful, now try Mori's mothers day concert singing WIND BENEATH MY WINGS from Bette Midler, with her mother sitting in the front row crying, don't forget the kleenex you will need them, watch Mori's face, have a great time keep following Mori you will never be let down she is so good.
She's one of the best storytellers of this present generation. Her ability to connect with everyone is just a God-given talent.

It is from a Christian musical from the Philippines and Gary wrote it and sang it but also handed it over to Mori to do with it as only Mori can. I hear she is also spiritual and so I can see why singing this song genuinely affected her.

This is just a song, I believe written by another Filipino artist, Gary Valenciano, a discussion between her and God. BUT, her wedding video is awesome. It will have you balling like a baby. Especially when you realize she has no family there to support her, since dad disapproved of her relationship, then tried to destroy his daughters reputation and character via social media and news outlets. Her song, "love you still" is the song they wrote to reach out to her family. The "sunset version" of that song is my favorite and just came out.
