If this Morissette performance doesn't moved you, that this is a complete vindication of the sacrifices and being true to her art I don't know what will. I loved that she 's retelling her story of how he got here. Its not like she's privileged to be giving a winning mark by judges. Well, her face was in the giant billboard at Time Square! How's that for accomplishment!
Being in time square is such a momentous moment❤ I’m so glad she received such an honor. If people cannot resonate with this performance, I don’t think they have a soul 😅, she was telling her story through the lyrics. Absolutely magnificent performance 💖💗
@@chaandgabe been watching all the artists in all my 61 years of existence here in the US. What I loved about her is that she's very honest and down to earth about her craft. If she sings in a converted barn or in the middle of a symphony you'll get exactly the same performance! None of that madonna 'I can't sing-in-this-venue bs -because -I-don't -like-the-temperature" of the a/c crap!(she can't sing but I still watched her, lol). Remember her early concert in Winnipeg when it was awful outside on this very tiny room and the sound system went out? She has to continue acapela! That's MORISSETTE!!!
The PHOENIX out of the ashes, knocked down so many times and stud back up, brushed her self off, and never lost site of where she was going, just the Story of Mori makes this song and the way she sings it so powerfull, I just love this Performance, I just love Mori.
That's right up there with her best performances, but there are so many! When you get to her Signature EP, I know most comments will say to use the live band versions, but to me, her Monster Anniversary Concert 2021 are much better sonically and visually. I watched her in several concerts and Wish Music Awards. Even those who can not sing solo can not help themselves to sing along with her. She's like a magnet to draw you in. She's very enjoyable and not a boring stage performer, speaker, guests, host, etc. 🥰🏆

I feel you, Bro. That was also my reaction to this stellar performance of Morissette of "Listen", especially the part after she gave us a brief history of her music career and journey, how she went through a lot, all those doors that kept on closing on her, but she worked hard for it, even at a young age, she did not gave up on her dreams and kept on pursuing until many doors and opportunities opened for her. This song was personal to her. I came to learn that when she was around 11, she was singing this song on stage as a side act for a visiting celebrity in their place, and nobody seemed to be listening to her, no one was paying her attention. It was disheartening to see. But many years later, singing this same song, with all these emotion, grit, power, and conviction, now we listen to her. I also got teary-eyed with all of these, learning her hardships, her determination, and the way she delivered this. It has since then became one of my most favorite Mori performance on stage. I even like this better than the original Beyonce rendition. As you rightly said and I completely agree, who wouldn't love this woman, and who wouldn't be moved by this amazing performance? unless you are lame person. Thank you for your continuing admiration and support for Mori. Looking forward to more reactions to her. 🥰
I really felt this performance of Morisette. All the adversities she went through, all her fights & efforts. She succeeded with her courage, bravery, and passion. One of the greatest artists I witnessed in the Philippines.
Such a humble...pure soul , that just wants to share her amazing gift with the whole world . This isn't a girl trying to be Beyoncé ,but merely a vocalist singing a Beyoncé song.....exceptional well. Some Mori insight....when she removes ear monitor.....get ready for the 5th octave notes.
One of my favorite Mori performances!!! But I think they are all my favorites at the time I am watching them. There are so many different things to appreciate in every performance, and Mori sprinkles just the right amount of amazing techniques from her unlimited bag of tricks to make it perfect every time!!! For the life of me, I cannot understand how she has not yet reached global recognition. I have not come across any other artist who can grab my heart the way this genuine artist has. And you said it, how can you just not love this singer? If you could see the despicable words she has endured from haters, including her own father....just disgusting! @@oliveoyl1802 not after she decided to continue dating her now husband. He disowned her. Mori continues to support them financially but the father didn't even bother to show up to her wedding. No one in her family came. Very unfortunate since Mori is such a good and generous person and not deserving of that.

@@oliveoyl1802unfortunately some fathers are very controlling like that. I think he couldn't accept another man influencing his daughter so he is forcing the rest of the family to not speak or have any contact with her as punishment. He has no problem accepting her financial support though. Before her wedding, Mori lived in a very humble tiny one bedroom condo while she funded building a beautiful brand new big house for her family.
Mori and her husband co-wrote her song, "Love You Still" for her father in an attempt to open the door for reconciliation. You will see her husband there helping her record. He is a good guy and they are a great team. Here is Cha's reaction to that video:

You can see how much emotion and pain she is feeling in this song. Hopefully one day her father will regret acting like a spoiled toddler and unite the family again. Despite how cruel he has been, she wants her family whole again. Thank you for supporting this talented and amazing lady and pls introduce her music so she can be more recognized. 😀

She is from Cebu (a province of the 🇵🇭) moved to the capital Manila to show her talent. She have joined many singing competitions but did not win any. I wonder what Gabe would think of this because the newest version and most popular is by Miss J-Hud. Really curious what he'll think of this because this song, it can be easily messed up. Either people over sing and put too much or the opposite. There's so many Mori nuances without being too much. She really did this song justice without being too much or too cheesy.
