I infuse grapeseed oil, vitamin E and Jojoba oil for 25/30 days to make tumeric oil. I am doing tumeric and ginger root for removing hyperpigmentation. UT works wonderful.
Thank you so much. So glad to know my enthusiasm got translated on screen. I sure am super enthusiastic about what I grow and how I use them. It's my pleasure to share what I learn with you 🙏
Thank you for your vidéo and to let us know the true experience in attending to termeric use in daily life. I must tell you that you have a beautiful colour of your face and the hair. You also have a great smile and your gentle explaination.Good luck to you and stay safe.
Very very good video. Great enthusiasm for what you are doing. I have just discovered turmeric in the past year and I am now trying to incorporate into different meals. I freeze it and then make a paste with it. The paste lasts for 2 weeks. And then I grab another frozen bag. I am really anxious of making pickles. That sounds delicious. Thank you for your time it took to make this so you could share.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a kind and encouraging message. So glad this was helpful. Very happy to hear that you have started incorporating turmeric in your diet.
Hi, I have made an elaborate video on making turmeric powder. Please check it out. I'll try to share the link below. And turmeric paste, I have already shown in this video. Thanks for your interest. Hope my videos help.
Thank you so much for all the tips you have given on fresh turmeric. I have one question. I live in UK and buy the fresh turmeric from shops. I do not know if it is organic or not. is it okay to add a little white vinegar to water and then wash the turmeric to remove any pesticides? will it effect the nutrients and benefits of the turmeric? I am thinking of adding the turmeric to smoothies
Hi F B, I am so glad you liked my video. I don't see any issue with using vinegar for washing but as you are planning to use it in smoothies, I am afraid it might add an undesirable taste of vinegar to your smoothies. I suggest soaking whole turmeric in plain water and washing it well. You can then scrape off the outer skin and use it. That should be enough. Hope it helps.
I harvested a ton of white turmeric from my garden a week ago. It has been sitting in a basket in the house. Excuse the dumb question but do you ALWAYS peel the turmeric before making a paste or powder? When I juice it (in a juicer) I don’t bother peeling it. Will it add a yucky texture or taste if I don’t peel it first? 😬
Hi Laura. Turmeric being a root veggie it might harbour minute dirt and grime even after thorough washing (even after 4-5 times of good scrubbing I wasn't satisfied). That's the only reason for peeling or just scrubbing off the out skin. No, it won't taste any different and No texture change either. But in case of dry powdering, it might have a slightly deeper colour which is absolutely ok. Hope I have answered your query. It's simply done from hygiene point of view. And congratulations on a ton of harvest 👍
I have turmeric preserved in vodka but would like to dehydrate it. Do you think I could do this safely or would the alcohol would interfere with dehydration or the flavor of that vodka would be stronger.
Hi Ragesh. Ideally I prefer storing in glass container to avoid plastic usage. But because the quantity is large and you would want to store it for a longer period of time without any pest issues, it would be better to store it in plastic covers and keep it in the freezer compartment. It keeps it fresh longer and prevents pest issues. You can always take out small batches for use whenever needed. This is the best way to preserve our hard-earned homegrown produce. Best wishes and congratulations on a huge harvest!
I loved your video! You are very cute ☺️

Thank you so much Joelle. I am so happy to hear that 😊
You can also use a small metal scooper to make little balls, once frozen, pop into bag for freezer.
That's a great idea too Andrea
Thank you!

Honestly, I have absolutely no idea about that. Sorry.
Hi does freezing kill it's health benefits?
No it doesn't. Freezing technique preserves and locks in the nutritional contents of the food.
Mam I have produced 25 kg of powder .....is it ok to keep in air tight bottle or packing in plastic cover ?

Hey Ashley. It's not really for sale, and also, I live in India and I am not sure how feasible or economical it is to ship it. Sorry.
