I spent last week with a group from Korea, apparently bright colours are not a thing in the Korean market. Let’s hope brighter colours appear for the European market.

I hope the VCMS recall happens very soon for UK, given people are now booking in for ICCU recall. It would be crazy not to do these at the same time!!

The EV3 colours are very dull.Look at the IOniq 5 at 3:47 for a contrast. More like that please! (BTW I saw a white I5 the other day it looked really good much better than the usual gray)
I'm just waiting to be dissapointed by the EV3 price, I'll give it six months after launch and see what lease prices are doing.

Next week or in the next few weeks. Next week is 1 year since last year's June update was released. Having said that they are running late this year.

Sadly this is not the end of ICCU matters. ICCUs are failing even after the latest recall software (241041) has been applied.
The reality for those of us that plan to keep the car long term is that even though ICCU failure will be a huge hassle, potentially getting stranded etc, it's better that this failure occurs whilst still in warranty.
My 12v is goosed, had to use a booster pack twice in the last month. When I popped into Kia yesterday to get a new 62Ah 12v, parts was closed, but I chatted to the service manager and said that he'd definitely recommend getting a Kia 12v instead of a Yuasa or Halfords 12v just so that it doesn't open the door to Kia blaming a non Kia 12v in the event of ICCU failure, or Kia saying the problem is the aftermarket 12v and making me buy a Kia 12v and waiting for the ICCU to kill that before they'll deal with it etc...
He agreed that the Yuasa in Halfords would be absolutely perfect, but said you can't predict the madness that comes back Kia when they place warranty claims.
I'll pick up a 12v from Kia next week. It's so laughable though, 29 months I got out of the 12v, never in 30 years of driving have I seen a 12v fail so soon. How EVs can be so far behind ICE cars on this matter is completely unacceptable.
For all the people that understandably don't buy a booster pack with their EV as I did, getting stranded is just not good enough, Kia must do better.

Agreed. I’ve come across one of my viewers (Terry Allen) on the Irish EV6 Facebook group just after i’d filmed this episode. He says he had 241041 installed then it failed not long after. I’ve been trying to find out more of the details before doing a video on it. It was the ICCU and it has been replaced in under a week. Whilst he was broke down someone he knows who works for Hyundai Ireland stopped to see if they could help. He said Hyundai were replacing ALL ICCUs on the Ioniq 5/6. This could be just in Ireland though. I’m still trying to find more evidence of this elsewhere because it’s the first that i’ve heard of this. Hope Kia go the same way and stop all this pissing around with software updates that don’t quite work.

@@evodessey I picked up a 12v from my dealer's parts department today, it's a 62Ah. It was €160, not bad, I thought the main dealer premium would be higher. The part number is: DP370APU062CK0U. Is that the same as your part number?
Interestingly the parts guy noted that the 62Ah is the Kia replacement offering, and naturally a different part number to the original 60Ah 12v, he said that he could order the original part number but that it would cost about €400 and would likely have to come from Korea. (naturally i left with the 62Ah).
