Finally...A collector who offers something a little different than the average Patek or Rolex collector. Awesome episode.
I saw this Talking Watches 8 years ago, and It just hit me today, that it's the same Jonathan Ward, the actor, that I grew upon. I love the fact that he is an entrepreneur and has an amazing collection and impeccable taste ⌚️🤝🙏

Wow. A guy that actually has a collection of watches that he searched and appreciated the story of each one, instead of 20 incarnations of the same thing. These are the types of collections I love. I love a Rolex and a Patek, but after you show me one Sub in your collection, I really don't need to see the other 10 you have.
This is my favorite episode so far. I tend to have some off the beaten path watches in my collection also. Love this.
I love how random and vintage this collection is. It's the fun side of this hobby and I dig it.
I bought a 1985 FJ60 from TLC in 1997. Loved it but ended up giving it to my cousin years later when he needed a vehicle. Wish I still had it (or could afford an Icon). Love Jonathan's taste in vehicles and watches. Classic.

Jonathan is a very relatable and likable guy. The story behind the collection is well justified wherein he is often attracted to the design elements rather than the popularity or price tag of a timepiece. Of course the best part is his tip on saving up for a watch purchase that won't anger the wife. Who can't relate to that? ;)
Everything in this is just cool: the cars, his business idea&dedication, his passion for vintage, his approach to collecting&sense of humor, his Columbo-wife, those leather chairs, ... and that watch collection! Thanks Ben!
Great collection of a true watch lover. I've noticed a trend: Less Rolexes = More passion and enthusiasm as a true watch lover.

This guy is a total badass. Easily, one of my favorite Talking Watches guests & collections. As a Land Cruiser owner, enthusiast, & community member/participant myself, I'm not surprised in the slightest by his cool ass original collection. Love the way he incorporates so much humility, respect, knowledge, purpose and enthusiasm into his hobbies/work.
Now that's what I call a collection! Doesn't matter if you are into Casios or Grand Complication Pateks. Just go where your passion leads you.
I only watch the first minute of these videos, when I see more then one Rolex or Patek I'm out! This one I watched twice. Finally a video where there is something new to learn. Please more real collections like this!

The host is an excellent - personable, restrained and stays on track, a great tour guide! Ward is so right, as creative auto design inspiration is everywhere, in all of the arts: watches, architecture, ceramics, textiles, aviation, theater, dance . . .
This is my fav guy you have interviewed. Nice collection, even better humble and down to earth personality it seems. And he worked damn hard too. Watch collecting is a passion. I see people with amazing collections, with 5 breguets, and don't even know the coin edge on the breguet is their signature style. Overall all the folks you interview seems to be true lovers of watches.

He builds awesome cars, and his preference in style for his cars and attention to detail is reflected in his collection! He is both a geek and a real dude Lebowski style. So that makes him... a gude, i guess?! Proud to be one two, be it less well off, and less well marinated. Also slightly younger, time enough to up my vintage game ;-)
If I would have to choose between a ridiculously expensive watch or one of his cars, his cars win, hands down.

Looks like he's wearing his old UG split seconds 22560. Huge watch for the period, believe it's about 45mm and built mid 1940's
