Takes me right back to the DigRev days.
Seeing Kai and Loc having fun photoshooting together is great.
I hope alamby can join in for a reunion vid.
Exactly what I felt!
Just came to say that same thing.
Remember when they abuses dslr? 😂
Feels like the old days, great video guys!
Also check out behind the scene: ruclips.net/video/vE9dbeRXtZE/видео.html
Love these how to vids, with you and Lok with the old Digitalrev music. Nostalgic. keep em coming :D
The sound and the antics just like DRTV. Hope we get more content like this.
Absolutely love it! Brings me back to the days of DigitalRev especially the intro music.
the music during the apple bashing is what reminds me of digirev
Great timing, I just got a flash and needed to figure out how to use it
Sean Tucker has a great video on how to do a basic home studio setup.
And there are also some great videos made by other people on how to do bounce indoor flash for events and stuff.
@@piotrgraniszewski8544are all flashes the same. Why many are using a godox for example instead of the normal $24 dollar flash device?
Where did you get the coverall? Looks clean!
This reminds me of the old style of Lok and Kai videos - AND THAT IS A GREAT THING!
More DRTV-like vids please!!!! :D Bring me back to my childhood!!
Great video. Thanks guys.
Very cool video. Very helpfull to understand flash beter. /i just with you could have overlaid the camera and flash setings over the photos in the video :-) It would be helpfull to pause the video over each photo and be able to read the settings used.
First.
Not sure it means anything but hey ho!
If you really want to set off Tony, ask him about the definition of ISO. He'll make three to five videos about it all over again. LOL.
All that's missing is the 5d MkII with the 24-70 hahaha. Thanks for that guys.
i been doing this with the ricoh, carrying the speedlite on my left hand. but never really know what numbers i had to use for correct exposure lol
still got a great photos
Flash power isn't fake, but it could more accurately be called flash energy.
The thing that annoys me most about it is that it isn't measure in any sort of standard way across different equipment. I could have lenses and cameras from completely different systems but ISO 200, 1/500s, and f/8 mean the same thing on all of them, and should give similar exposure in similar conditions. But flash power 1 or 1/2 is relative to the maximum of the particular flash. Would seem easier if they used an absolute number measured in watt-seconds (aka joules) or something instead of a fraction with no unit.
Random Request: Could you bring back Pro Photographer Cheap Camera??? Pleaseee….
Love your videos by the way
I know nothing about cameras, I've got a 2nd hand drone, ( snapped the arm, held together with Evo liquid metal, proper bodge job)which I wish I used more, ...anyway, I have really not much of a clue what he's going on about,,,but he's funny, and takes the urine good, his mate cracks me up, and , you know what, I am learning about piccys etc .. I did have a DJI osmo, which was ok, IF I had my reading glasses with me....he makes me laugh...a fine mix of comedy, piss taking, yet immeasurable knowledge of the fine art of capturing a section light, onto a mirror so a lil computer can sort shit out and make it look good...in my case
Agree with all the comments! Kai and Lok you might wanna consider yourselves photographer comedian duo. The photography is great of course but we love your comedy + chemistry even more!
i miss all the challenges they used to do in digital rev channel. Specially the pro photographer, cheap camera challenge.
Full power of Flash may be needed... If he's to be the saviour the universe...
I'll get me coat.
It was those tutorials over a decade ago that helped me get into photography. Thank you Kai and Lok.
Are you down with Canon killing off RF third party lenses? I thought you would have mentioned it by now?
"Quicker than a ninja". How dare you. Ninjas around the world would be deeply offended.
Saved. Liked. Already subscribed for stuff exactly like this-- I've always thought flashes were for studios to control light and didn't even consider that the light that bounces back can "freeze" the objects it hits as the sensor only "sees" that reflected light with the overall shutter speed controlling the ambient light. Amazing, I love this format. It's fun and informative without being formal.
So that's how it works!
@@numbersix8919 exactly! And after having a night to think more about it, the importance of overpowering the ambient light is to reduce or eliminate the motion blur due the ambient light reflecting off the object(s) after the flash hits it to create the after image/blur. Wish I could like this video twice haha.

WTF what does Canon have against Australia?
The wait was worth it! Splendid video, just like in the old times!
What a throwback! Keep these videos coming!
Darn, no entries from USA allowed
This is the first time I've seen Kai with a Rolex Explorer I.
This is a delight! And I learned some new things.
I use second curtain and 1/10 most of the time. Lots of camera motion in that too.
what was the name of the photographer you mentioned? Yo Yowa?
how many fruits did you guys killed there?
Nice work Lads..Takes me back,,,
Redline, like the anime by the same name?
Throwback content!
NGL, that "frash power" was stereotypically hilarious. Dont @ me!!!
should've used the tree as background
these videos take me back to digital rev days.
Looks like you're gonna join the army
More flash more juice
"The aht of ningering". Gawd, I love your voice/accent.
Hawaii is not included. Bummer
DigitalRev nostalgia loved it
Just missing Alamby.
why? so many fruits wasted.
Ahh yes, I can feel the DigitalRev vibes again and seems like you two are enjoying yourselves :)
Waiting for lok to say, N D Filter.
Does anyone know if Kai still uses the Lumix S5 for the shooting all his videos?
Kaï kinda looks like Kaï Mark II …
Apologies for being, “that guy” but it is better to have the hand on the forward side (drive vector or direction of attack?) lower on the handle.
You two are absolute clowns. Love it. Couldn't stop grinning the whole video.
Could you imagine if a Lok came floating towards you like that in the deep woods in the middle of the night.
Dang, you guys are running out of ideas for videos aren't ya?
I miss those DigitalRev days, so much to explore in the digital camera world.
Thank you for the video! It really brings me to the days of Drtv :)
Best wishes!
Kai where did you get the coveralls? Same color as yours can I order them someplace online? Cool vid!
what flash are u using?
So it's actually not flash power, but it is flash energy.
Hysterical… 😂
How many cars think they have a speeding ticket coming 😂😂😂
We need to get you up to 1 million subscribers. You are so close. Everyone share the shit out of this great content!

Lok is faster than 1/8000 of a second. What a legend.
TwoSetCamera
Kai, I think we should all hop into large format stuff.
Motion blur at 1/8000 of a second on an apple hit by a rolling pin? 🤔
Great!
Back to the style of video that made me want to buy a camera! Great video
You truly wok'd it out of the ballpark Kai.
you should have used 2 ad200 or a ad600
Hey Kai, can you confirm 'Yo Yoa Camera' name. Don't think I have it right :) wanna find her work ta ✌️

Ahhh, I've missed these videos.
Pleas explain the cutaway to the other guy during the fake discussion. What’s the reference
that "other guy" is Tony Northrup. Im sure you can google it.
It's from Kai's review of Sony a7 IV: ruclips.net/video/XJyigGV-x30/видео.html
🙃
I love these videos 👍
YESSSSS
LOL imagine deleting a comment telling a bot to go away but not deleting the actual bot comment. KEKW
Used to marvel over the art photos that Japanese woman took. Her levitation shots was amazing. Now i dont even remember the name of insta account.
Natsumi Hayashi Yowayowa Camera Woman Diary
@@DennisJH Thank you :)
👍👍
Haters say it is photoshopped
I’m not sure where this notion that you need flash comes from. I got great photos at the Le Mans 24 hours of LMP1 prototype etc race cars at dusk with great motion blur and the car was still in focus!. Unlike here when your running and everything is a blurry mess, it is not meant to look like that if anyone is wondering!. Literally I used a Nikon d5000 years ago at dusk/lowlight like I stated with no flash and the photos came out amazing!. Oh and I was using an f3.5-5.6 kit lens!.
Don't you guys have access to cricket bats?
Lol looks like a skeleton with sin in those photos.
Very handsome
I actually really like the streak effect you got on the bits of apple at 4:28. I feel like that could be used stylistically to great effect.
What's the name of that Japanese Art photographer?
She's called Natsumi Hayashi, her website is called "yowayowa camera woman", but it hasn't been updated for over a decade.
