Tbh I think Sherlock is still decent, though it has strayed quite far from the original material it still maintains a reasonable quality. I agree about DW though, some of the more recent writing hasn't been very good, and it's massively decreased in maturity as well. Hopefully Capaldi brings the right balance in the coming series...

Series 3 of Sherlock was definitely different in that they had a running theme throughout all 4 episodes in comparison to the other two series where they had a series of small cases over the 4 episodes, which were fun to watch. I think this made it seem like it dragged a bit, but I think the series was great. It was just a bit unexpected in the way it changed.
Sorry Steven, but you are casting A MAN as the Doctor. Please stop trying to destroy the same male role model that inspired you and David Tennant and Russel T. Davies. If you want a strong female Time Lord character, CREATE A NEW ONE. I apply the same logic to James Bond.
