I believe you can be friends with your ex, depending on how the relationship ended. Just because the relationship soured for whatever reason doesn't mean the friendship can not be restored. Maybe the two weren't compatible in sustaining a relationship.
I think you can be friends with an ex. Well, depending on how the relationship ended and why and how they treated you! If it’s an ex that was abusive…of course not. If you just realized it’s not working and decide to part ways and both still care for each other but just more as friends, of course you can stay friends! And if you hsve kids together, I’d hope you can be friends becsuse that is always the best for the kids. Or if not friends, at least able to be civil with each other and in talking terms. I slso think that yes, it’s okay to have friends of the opposite sex. Why not? They’re just friends. No one will ever tell me who I can or cannot be friends with. If a guy would try, he’d be an ex pretty fast! 😂 No but seriously, it all comes down to trust. If someone can’t trust me and doesn’t know me well enough to know that I’d NEVER cheat on anyone, then he’s the wrong one for me. And vice versa. If I can’t trust the guy that he wouldn’t cheat on me…what’s the point of even being in a relationship if there is no trust and respect? Anf that’s also why I say that you can be attracted to someone and still not ”interested”. Again, it comes down to trust. If I had a boyfriend, no matter how cute some other guy would be and I’d be attracted to him…it would go no where and I wouldn’t be interested because if I have a boyfriend, then I respect him enough to not hurt him and break his trust and love him enough to not cheat on him. I wouldn’t want him to do that to me so I wouldn’t do it to him. And if I can’t be trustworthy, why be in a relationship? If one is a mature, trustworthy person, you know better than to do anything about it, even if you were attracted. It’s that simple. I wouldn’t be with the guy in the first place if he wasn’t mature, kind, respectful and trustworthy.

I have to say that I'm scared about it, also because I've seen many Women suffering from it, and who are truly unhappy with living like this! And heartfeltdly, I'm hoping and praying with all my heart for your adorable Daughters to never fall in it, when they will be adults! It's just so hard to see Women falling in it and being unhappy, and as I've already said it too, it's pretty scary to see! But despite this, I totally agree with everything you've said about it!
