Papered Chef , I just order the scan & cut SDX 125E through your amazon web site. I can’t wait until I get it and begin scanning using your tutorials. Thank you again, Marilyn Urban
Thanks Mary, I try to cut out all of my stamps because it is so much fun to have a lot of embellishments. I hope you give this a try with your machine.
Thank you so much. I didn't know how to get rid of those little ink marks inside the space. I will be watching all of your Brother videos. I have had my machine for 5 years and there is so much I still need to learn. I use it a lot but I do get frustrated at time. Thank you much!
Oh I’m SO happy you did a tutorial on this stamp set! I love this set, but could NOT fussy cut the long scroll flower piece! Thank you so very much yet again for sharing all your knowledge!
Oh yes, we ScanNCut owners never fussy cut! I will spend an hour trying to cut out something with the machine before I give up. Even then, I will not fussy cut it. I will cut around it with a trimmer and end up with a strange shape. Thanks for watching.
Oh, we have all cut limbs off while cutting things with the ScanNCut. That is how I first mastered the Color Recognition Mode. I kept cutting the hands off of my witches and then I finally figured out the settings and shared them. I hope you get my courses while they are on sale. I am able to run a sale like that about once a month. Thanks for watching. PAPERED999 is my coupon code until the morning of October 26th.

Hello from snowy cold Idaho. I live in Plummer. I just love watching your videos, Im very educated on this machine now even though I bought the DX from HSN Its arriving tomorrow weather permitting of course. I love these stamps and I agree with you on the dies, there are times you do want to buy the dies. I think you really need to study the catalog each stamp set at a time. I believe Im going to be doing videos on my scnc DX as well, with the stamps from stampin up, I think it will help my business as well since Im my best customer.I hope you dont mind. Im not trying to copy you just do it on my machine since there really isnt much out there on the DX yet. Im a tad nervous about doing videos but Im gonna give it a try. I really enjoy your videos, they are so easy to follow. Your voice is easy to listen to, I am hard of hearing so Im able to hear you clearly. Your instructions are really clear as well. I still can not get enough of your videos. And I have most of the stamp sets from the sale a bration catty. Now I want lasting lilly thats the only stamp set I dont have from the free book. Theres a few more from the book as well on my wish list and I will order them right before it ends. You are an enabler lol love this part. And you have made me so excited about crafting again. I kinda lost my thirst due to Im raising three children. Im the grandma. People would tell me they dont have time for crafting because they have kids well now I understand but it just means we really have to make use of our time better. FInd whats important. My motto is home life and my kids first then my crafting comes after. If the chores are done I can relax more crafting while the kids are at school. Your a real angel in our world. Thank you. And I would love to send you a card do you have a address where I could send to. You can find me on facebook messanger if you like. Happy crafting
Lynn Galvan Your comment really made my day! Oh how fun that you have a ScanNCut on the way! Of course you should make videos. The more tutorials, the better. I teach so many classes on the CM350 and plan on getting the DX this summer and developing a course on it. One idea that comes to mind for you and your Grandchildren is to teach them how to use the ScanNCut and document them crafting. I bet they will come up with designs we would never even think of. Of course it is also good to demonstrate your Stampin’ Up! products as well. There are so many reasons why this machine compliments our SU products. Please contact me using the form on my site. The technique i use is to place apiece cellophane over the image and tape to the mat then with a black fine liner pen draw a shape around the stamped image and scan in, then remove the cello and chose to cut the line inwards and cut away. no need for the pencil marks or eraser.
Thanks for sharing your very cool productivity tip. I use something similar when I want to save a shape but I have never tried cellophane yet. I can see how that would save time if I can get it to stick. Is your mat dedicated to scanning? You see how dirty my mats are.
Thanks. It is pretty amazing and as you know - there are endless possibilities. I’m one of your subscribers so I will be sure to check out your video too.

Which Brother Scan and Cut machine do you recommend. There are a couple of choices and I am a Stampin Up demonstrator and I would like to purchase on of these machines?
Hi Marilyn, In my opinion, I still like the CM350 better for cutting stamped images but the SDX has so many more features. I love my CM350 or ScanNCut2 because of its consistency and reliability over the years. If you are going to be cutting fabric, vinyl and all kinds of other materials, then you are better off with the SDX125 because of the Autoblade. You don't have to set the blade depth with the SDX models, they are not as noisy and you have so many features including a lot more editing that can be done right from the machine. Please use my links to purchase one even if you don't get the exact one in my link. The links only work for a certain about of time so if you put something in your Wish List and go back, my link is no longer active so please click on it again before you purchase something. I just found your videos and even though I'm a new owner of the S&C DX model, your videos are very helpful. How would you cut out the butterflies that came with the "free" Botanical Butterflies DSP in SAB. I'm talking about the ones that were on the blue background. I tried and created a huge mess as it tried to cut the little specs in the blue background out and I think I almost ruined my mat. Thanks so much.
Oh yes, my tutorials work on any model. For the large butterflies on the blue background, be sure to use Black & White recognition mode. I did a tutorial showing some of the butterfly paper being cut out. ruclips.net/video/l6mvO3rA72g/видео.html
Just got my Scanncut 2 today.... paid attention to your advice not needing the DX because I only ez t to cut stamped images. Playing this video again before I attempt anything and just have 1 question. You use painters tape once your mat is no longer sticky enough. I have a ton of wasabi tape so will that work too!
Congratulations Cheri! You will not be disappointed. You do need a wireless activation card at some point but not for a while. Your machine is a work horse and you will love it. I’m going to share a link on restick if your mat. Washi tape comes off so easily and can get caught on your rollers but YES - use Painter’s Tape.
Papered Chef thank you for the links! Been watching your videos again. So far have only attempted to cut from one page of cardstock...the white part around the stamped images isn’t equal all the way around. I remember seeing you correct this in one of your videos but can’t seem to find that today. Do you remember which video it was in or was it possibly in a DX video you made? Thank you so much for all of your videos. You are the one that actually helped me pull the trigger and order a Scanncut (:

It is not broken! The machine came with light blue packing tape. It must have got caught in there. Unload your mat. Look inside with a flashlight and get the tape out. You may need a pair of tweezers.
@@PaperedChef thank you so much. You are soooo smart...
