In editing mode, if you choose the icon with the three squares that are side by side, you can choose more than one item at a time to delete. You do have to be careful not to tap on an empty space, since all your choices will be unchosen, but it's good to choose a few, then the trash can, then choose some more, etc., rather than having to do it one at a time.
Yes, I tried that too but you have Thanks for watching and for thinking outside the box. Sometimes, I do it that too but you have to draw around a selection area or select everything and to me, that is more difficult.
You are welcome Chrissy. Right on! This shows someone is watching at least 15 minutes of my videos. I like to hide little gems in there once in a while.
Thanks for your tips and tricks-especially for flowers. I’ve received my new catalog and survival kit along with a lot of other goodies. I’ve made my wish list and will order some of them on 6/4. I’m so happy to see that the teapot die is not retiring. I tried to find it to order in the old catalog but didn’t see it. I’m taking your advanced snc class and enjoying it. Thanks for all your help.
Awesome Gracie, I’m glad you received your Survival Kit. My wish list is super long. I can’t wait until the 4th. See you in my online courses. The examples there are different than the ones on RUclips.
Marcia, I'm so glad you finally took your ScaNCut out of the box. I hope my tutorials and/or online courses can help you learn the details you need to make the most of your machine. You will get better with practice.
Perfect! Easy to follow and to duplicate. Love the pencil and eraser trick. I was using colored pencils because my lines were impossible to erase nicely. I see a trip to the office supply store in my future for your eraser. Thanks.
Thanks for watching my tutorial and commenting. YES, I love those erasers. They were only $5 a box at Office Max recently. Here is a link to Amazon too. amzn.to/2YsuzAw
You are a wonderful Teacher! I just found your channel. I ordered from your shop. I plan to take your classes once I buy the machine. Thanks for sharing! I will be following you in the future.
I’m so glad that you found my channel. Thanks for taking the time to comment and especially to compliment me. That made my day. I have discount coupons for my online courses. When you get your machine, let me know and I can send them.
You are welcome Kathy. I like to show things that beginners and expert users can all appreciate. Glad you are watching and I hope you subscribed to my channel.
I’m thinking of stamping whole sheets of my clear sets and saving the images. What do you think? My machine is new and I’m wanting to use it for everything! If I did this, could I use what I want and duplicate cuts per project and retain the original set image for future use?
I’m not sure why you would want to save your images. It would just be saving your outlines. If you try to save the lines on the stamped images themselves, you will have a hit mess. I just scan and cut the images as I need them.
To receive your new Annual Catalog Survival Kit, place an online order at my Stampin' Up! store by May 31st and use the current host code. paperedchef.stampinup.net
I just love your videos! You mention that you cut out your mats and card fronts and that it saves you time. Can you send me the link where I can see you do that? Thanks
Sure thing. This is one of my older videos. I was using my first ScanNCut machine so I'm due for another tutorial on this using my latest model. Pretty much anything you cut out with a paper trimmer can be cut with your ScanNCut. ruclips.net/video/KLvySsRfES0/видео.html
I’m so thankful for your tutorials! I’ve a question, does the amount of light and where it is shining on the scanner matter for object recognition? I hope you have a Tutorial on how to use a letter pattern From the machine and copy as many as will fit on the card stock. I making wedding invitations and need 150 of the letters A and B! Would love any tips and tricks you could share with me😀 thanks
I’ve tried the same scan using a light and dark room and saw no difference. The scanner is inside of the machine so that’s why it probably doesn’t matter.
Oh yes, you scan and cut embossed images the same way. Depending on the color of the embossing, they may be more difficult to recognize. Still, you can do it. Be sure to cut around the lines and not on the lines or your blade holder will get clogged up.
A half cut is also called a kiss cut. It is when you cut though the front of the vinyl but not the back. You want to leave the back of the vinyl on for stability and weed out the part you don’t want. That is why you would do a half cut. You don’t want to cut through your vinyl backing or you will never get it off.
I used to try coloring first when I started using the ScanNCut but stopped for several reasons. If you color outside of the lines, you get a bump around that part. Meaning, it outlines your coloring, not the black line. Also, in the case of the pigs, I may color them Powder Pink, Petal Pink, or Blushing Bride. So, depending on what I put them on, I color them a different way so I like to have them all cut out and ready to color for projects. Another reason is that not all images get recognized. So, you can spend so much time coloring and then it goes bust. So, in the case where something just doesn't cut out, I give up, knowing that I didn't spend a lot of time coloring. My friend uses a solid color on her stamped images and they cut out easily.
I was watching one of your later July tutorial and you stated that you have add training classes for the sdx125 on Udemy. I went to the site but it is only showing the CM350.
Shirley, I am not finished developing that course yet. I am on the verge of publishing it but I still have several more topics I must cover. Thanks for your patience. I will definitely notify my entire mailing list on my web site when it is done. Please register for page updates here so that you are notified when my tutorials and courses are released. Thanks for your patience. thepaperedchef.com
Here I go again with another question. I have a flower stamp that has the petals in detail and they are all connected. How do I ignore the lines of the petals . The machine cuts each part out I don't know how to fix it.:( Thank you ! Jan
The first thing to try is Direct Cut. There, you can ignore object sized which are small and treat your outer flower as one image. If that doesn’t work, use a pencil to enclose the flower petals to make the SNC think it’s one image.
Papered Chef thank you so much you’ve answered all the questions I had about using the markers for coloring too! Love your instructional videos - thank you for being a great resource for using my new machine!
I like your celebrate your success attitude.
Thanks Mary. Yes, I like to celebrate with crafting and sharing those crafts and supplies with others.
Congratulations Susan! You won the English version of the Wonderful Romance stamp set.

Is it possible to cut out embossed stamped images? I so appreciate your videos ! Thank you!!!!!

I have another question, what is a half cut? I downloaded my scan n cut manual very confusing. Thank God for you!

That is why you would do a half cut. You don’t want to cut through your vinyl backing or you will never get it off.
Have you tried coloring before cutting to see if it recognized easier avoiding all the extra steps and time?
I used to try coloring first when I started using the ScanNCut but stopped for several reasons. If you color outside of the lines, you get a bump around that part. This is great but I want to write my name in sharpie black and it still didn't recognize it. How come.
I'm not sure. It you have your name connected, try using Scan to Cut Data. It will recognize the inside and outside of your handwriting.
Oh okay 😊

@@PaperedChef Ok I have tried direct cut and scan to save I will try drawing the lines. Thank you again :)
Hi. Would these markers work in the universal pen holder for the scan n cut?
Yes they do Iris. Here’s a tutorial. I may need to do another one soon. It’s been a while. ruclips.net/video/3NZsU8Kl7WI/видео.html
Papered Chef thank you so much you’ve answered all the questions I had about using the markers for coloring too! Love your instructional videos - thank you for being a great resource for using my new machine!
