Hi. Thank you so much for sharing your tips with the scan and cut! I’m a relatively new SU Demo. I started following your videos since I started using the scan and cut. It has made my life so much easier. Thank you for being so generous with your time.

Rosy, So glad to hear that I am not the only one. I love playing with the kits to get my creative juices flowing. Thanks for taking my courses and for watching. I am proud of you for making progress.
Kim, you done it again, I just learned something new with the painters tape, and the third technique. Thank you for showing us these technique. I was using my snc this week for some of my Christmas cards, my husband came in and ask me what are you doing? I said cutting out Images.
My husband has learned a long time ago not to try and figure out what I am doing in my craft room all of the time. I'm so glad you learned something new. I appreciate you watching Deborah!
Hi!, this is the first video I have watched of yours and I’m so excited to have found you. I was trying to search the diff between SDX 85 and 125. I currently have a CM350. My question is how do you keep your mat so sticky when it is so used? Not sure if you’ve answered this in another video. Thank you for all the tips.
My Lord, you're brave! I can guarantee you that if I tried to stamp with my stamp pad that close to my hand, I would be IN it! I would have red fingers and a red hand and forget that I was inked and spread it to whatever card I was working on. hahaah🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for your tutorials for the Scan N Cut! I am still having problems remembering and putting it to practice, but that is not because you aren't teaching me!! lol HUGS
Colleen, I know you are paying attention. You can put these videos into Play Lists so you can find them again. Practice and you will never forget these things. Thanks for watching.
Hi Kim thanks for this tutorial. I have been using the scan n cut machines for a while and I love them. I have the SDX1200 and the CM550. Obviously the Auto blade is wonderful.Any way I learnt something new from you today and I will be trying it out real soon. Currently working with my piercing mat, maybe you have a few great tips for us to learn. Thanks again. Marlene
Glad it was helpful Marlene. I actually don't have the piecing mat. I have a few extra accessories but for the most part, I stick with metal dies when I want the stitched look.
Great tutorial. I wonder if you could do a class to build a sentiment tag in Canvas Workspace and save it to your machine. I guess the problem with that is there would have to be different sizes. Just thinking out loud. 😊
Susan, this is actually part of the course I’m developing now. You will see more information about it when I launch the course. It is called Canvas Workspace A to Z.

Just in time for my card making marathon. How would I make a page of banners and sentiments? You do a fantastic job of explaining and making it understandable. Thank you so much.
Oh wow! I just watched this video, and tried the welding with a Christmas sentiment. It worked perfectly! I was so excited! I am learning so much from your videos, they are so easy to understand, even for a newbie like me! Thank you so much:-) (I can see why you use painters tape, I must get some!)
Glad it helped! Painters Tape is stronger that washi and rarely ever gets stuck in my machine. That is why I like to use it. Saves me a lot of frustration.
Hi Kim, I wonder if you stamp in red ink, should we use a red pencil to do the "pencil trick"? will it work? Maybe the erasers dont do well on colored pencils? You are sooo knowledgeable! With both Scan n Cut and Stampin Up. This is terrific. thank you. cindy
Thanks for watching Cindy. I don't have a lot of success erasing colored pencils because they smear. I think that you can try to use the tape trick whenever you have larger sections to connect. That works.
Hi Kimberley, I just now found your channel and watched this one video!!!! I have a question I hope you can answer. I really am not into card making, I am into journaling and I have ordered many digitals from Etsy sellers of thing to fussy cut out for ephemera, etc. Can you somehow use these machine like the one you are using to cut out the fussy cut items for you???? I hope I have explained my question where you know what I am asking!!!! You are amazing!!! I can tell you know this machine inside and out!!! Please answer....thanks so much in advance!!!!! Here's a very important question: How would I cut out a shaped folded card?? (I neeeed this for Christmas. Help!) You know, the folded card is the shape (ie Christmas ornament) itself. Have a video?? Please...I'll go STRAIGHT to it. (I instantly subscribed)
@@LuniLadi Oh I know about rabbit holes. The concept is to get a shape, duplicate it, mirror it and then weld it. I taught these concepts in my courses but didn’t make a a shape card. I may do that with some mini tags soon but if not, that is the overall concept. I have a cool tree shape I wanted to try a tag with.
Thanks. I am new to scan n cut. I stamped and cut out like you but my outline was wider on one side than the other. Can I calibrate it to fix?
Oh yes, you have to do that once in a while. Here is a video on how to do the Scanning / Cutting Position Adjustment. ruclips.net/video/bfnbemwozkA/видео.html
