Hi Kim, here is a tip - I have a knitting needle sizer where there is a hole for the knitting needle to fit to see what size it is. I can use that to see if my pen fits with or without the tape to adapt it.
Hello, just wanted to thank you for your wonderful videos on ScanNCut. You gave me the push I needed to create my own channel with ScanNCut tutorials. I love how authentic you are (and funny). We should think of something to do together! It could be fun. I believe in collaboration because crafting is fun and should be something that brings people together. Thank you again, dear!
Hi Kim! Thanks so much for this - you're my best teacher! You gave me the confidence to start using my machine but I had no idea how much I would fall in love with it! My husband thanks you for the diversion of my attention from nagging him haha For the record, there was a new pen holder released earlier this year called "SMALL PEN HOLDER". It works the same was as the "Universal Pen Holder". I have a wide range of pens (don't we all?) and have been able to take the tape off every small pen that is widely available on the market except for one. The Small Pen Holder is a real bonus and worth every cent as the pens grip firmer than with washi. It's not only easier but a big time saver as I know my pens will fit without adjustment. Here's what I do and I hope this helps someone out: I cut a small piece (about 1" ) of scrap of the cards that I use to draw on to slightly larger than the little platform (so I can get it off again) that the pen nib will sit onto (Whisper White, Watercolour etc), wrote their names on the back then washi taped them to the back of the pen setting tool. To use, I select my card, slide it onto the platform and secure with the washi on the under side where the pen setting tool stands so that it doesn't interfere with the mechanics then set my pen. Takes about 30 seconds. Remove pen, put into machine, press start then return the card where I attach them out of the way and we're good to go. I keep each pen setter and holder with cards attached in a small, clearly labelled baggie that is taped with painter's tape onto the side of my machine complete with the labelled card samples. I am going to switch to repositionable glue when the washi dies to try that out next.
Thanks Shiree. I ordered that tool too. It was called a Craft Pen Holder and I will review it after it arrives. I also have an embossing pen comping. I want to emboss some SVG snowflakes so watch for those things. Cah Ching! We can never have enough accessories. I like your card sample idea too. I will give you a shout out once I do the video on the smaller pens. I have soooooo many. You are right. It is endless. I could draw all day. Thanks for your tips and for watching.

Help! I want to use a regular sharpie!
Cass, a regular Sharpie will not fit into this particular holder. I tried :) You can use Stampin' Write Markers by Stampin' Up! or use regular thin Sharpies. You can also make the shapes that you will use to color with Sharpies.
@@PaperedChef I am spoiled I had an expression as my first machine and purchased adapters for the short sharpies. I needed a permanent image drawn by the machine. I might have to put on a student cap and figure out how to create a 3d printed adapter.
@@PaperedChef thanks for tour help.
Can you draw a sticker
Or make card stock into a sticker
Yes, you can create stickers out of shapes or designs. You can cut it onto sticker paper. I will link to one of my sticker tutorials.
