John, you were definitely in your element. Those big bluegills, were beautiful fish and in such a strange location. Larry turned you on to some really awesome fishing.
squamishfish: And all we have are big fish, snakes, alligators, giant feral hogs, and whitetails. Do y'all need any "gators" up there.? BTW, B. C. is the most beautiful place in North America.
My dad took me fishing for the first time when I was five years old at golf course pond where members were allowed to fish. I caught a one pound monster bluegill and have been fishing ever since.
The landscaping there is super cool. Looks like a bank fishing paradise 🤠 Not sure how many folks have historically fished this section of ponds but I imagine anglers move them up and down pools quite often. Odd when they’re in a little isolated pool though 😂
Nice video as always! Some nice catches buddy! That was fun to watch. Keep doing your thing and bringing the great content. #CreekFishingAdventures rocks!
Larry definitely put your other sticks to work on those golf course fish ⛳️ 🐟 . @955 this is a big green sunfish! Then nails another one back-to-back. Love those untapped ponds. We've got some bruiser green sunfish in the subdivision ponds in IL. They've taken small and medium golden roach minnows before. Such a blessing John
That’s awesome you’re collaborating with LMJ, one of my favorite creators. I’m always hesitant to fish ponds cause of getting in trouble lol. Also do you have any budget friendly recommendations on a creek rod and reel for pan/bass fishing?
What a great and unique fishing experience John. Leave it to you to come up with something different or the Gentleman that invited you. It was outstanding great video great video. I'd like to fish There I paid a fish There. That kind of fishing gives you a little break from that kayak and creek adventures too.
I'm surprised you never use the gulp, mini grubs, they're only an inch long, and I've never failed to catch 30 or 40 fish in a day when I'm using them. the fish aren't always big, but you don't seem to care how big the fish you catch are. so I'm pretty sure you would enjoy using them.
There are a few ponds on some golf courses here in Philly that I have hit. Most they don't let you in. At the Llanarch Country Club there is a good point that I've gotten a couple good largies. Most of the ponds here are trash from too many people. There are a few areas on one creek here that has a 2 reservoirs along it's length that is awesome. Especially since they used to stock the big one with everything including muskie. They closed the big one to everything about 15 years ago but you can sneak in and there are state record everything in there. I've caught 15lb largemouth and 3 plus lb crappie. I've lost 3 muskie well over 50in in there. It sucks cause even if you get a record you can't cause the is nowhere else that you could get those fish 😂😆😂. There are natural brown and brook trout in that creek and reservoir as well
I've been killing it in Storm Water Retention Ponds lately. Caught 6 bass in the one by a Hilton Hotel, 9 behind a Best Buy and 18 in the Costco parking lot. Thiese fish have never seen lures.
*Not a bad video. Par for the course I'd say.* JK man all your videos rock. Switching up the soft plastic at 17:20 was the right move. It's almost like you've fished before 🤣 I'd love to find a golf course where I could fish without breaking the rules. Some of these ponds need to be fished and the fish relocated to other areas to keep the populations healthy and thriving.
Birds will carry fish eggs from one water area to another...we had bass come into our freshly built pond before we stocked. Kept waiting for police to show up..:-)
What model Dobyns fury is that? First time I’ve noticed you fishin with it. Was interested in those rods a while back. Cool video looked like an awesome area to explore
Green sunfish don’t really get stocked places, they get stuck in ducks and geese feathers/legs and get stocked naturally. Here in Arkansas you can find them in ponds out in the middle of state lands that have never been stocked. Not the last century at least 😂
Nearest golf courses where I'm at Coeur d'Alene golf course everybody knows about that one, but as for a couple of other lakes the golfers get a little pissed off for some reason when you're over
What did you mean by that little bass getting attached to a duck? Iv never heard of that before. Also I didn't understand why it was so hard to believe a bass that little would be in that body of water. Unless I'm missing something. If I am, my apologies.
“For centuries scientists speculated that fish eggs reached isolated lakes and ponds by hitching rides on water birds' feathers or feet. But according to findings published in July in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA, the mode of transport for at least some eggs could be much more intimate: the new research provides the first evidence that soft-membraned fish eggs, eaten and pooped out by birds, can still hatch into viable young.” “Scientific American” sep. 1, 2020
Those green sunfish are extremely territorial, especially the males, which is probably why you don’t see a lot of other types of fish around where you’re catching those
I think I would have been nervous about flying golf balls in a situation like that. Rumor has it that taking one to the noggin can be an unpleasant experience.
Man, he hooked you up with the species-by-step. There has to be some sort of management or selective harvesting going on; without it, the green sunfish should be more numerous and stunted in those small areas, unchecked by predators. Another possibility is that they stocked greengill hybrids some years ago, which is common practice for stocking companies to meet their guarantees for fish survival, then the breeding and feeding competition throughout the years separated them out to their parent species
If ur ever in Memphis I would love to be ur camera guy and show around some honey holes and btw I meant vegetable oil for the for the soft plastics not the olive oil lol
Who like some good Golf Course Pond Fishing?
MEE
You know it
I do!
If its like that me
That's what I grew up fishing on is a Golf course pond across the street from my Great Grandmother's house.
I grew up fishing golf course ponds. It’s how I learned how to fish. Such great memories. Both fishing and running from the course marshals!
I am fishing my neighborhood course tomorrow night. Gonna have to be sneaky.
Man i signed in to leave the same comment. So much night fising on the back 9s.
John, you were definitely in your element. Those big bluegills, were beautiful fish and in such a strange location. Larry turned you on to some really awesome fishing.
Nice buddy! Glad you are liking those slim shads. Looks like the fish were chewing on them pretty good!!
Love the pipes in the background!
We can catch Trout and Salmon in some of the golf courses around Vancouver British Columbia

Beautiful fish! Golf course fishing is usually pretty darned good. Everybody else wants to golf!
Fish on!
Terrific! Always love it when you fish these little ponds and tiny creeks in the middle of nowhere.😁😄
That was some more golf course water system & some great fishing, thank you for taking us along!🎣👍
Nice video as always! Some nice catches buddy! That was fun to watch. Keep doing your thing and bringing the great content. #CreekFishingAdventures rocks!
You and larry milton jr is about the only fishing channels i watch...and quite often. 😊
Wow, thanks
I see spots like that sometimes on private land and always wonder what's in em.👍😄
Living here in Alabama, I immediately recognized the course. Talk about a gorgeous area....John you really outdid yourself with this video.
SE michigan night fishing usually involves golf course water hazards! Fantastic video.
This is correct
I love the bagpipes in the background
You always find the coolest spots man.
Larry definitely put your other sticks to work on those golf course fish ⛳️ 🐟 . @955 this is a big green sunfish! Then nails another one back-to-back. Love those untapped ponds. I didn't know you could fish golf course ponds! Cool video
You can’t most golf courses won’t let you. heck most of the courses around here only allow golfers on the course, you can't even walk the path.
A few do
Wow, so enjoyed this John🐟🎣🐟🎣
yes, I love your pond fishing videos
Beautiful fish and they match the landscape.
Man, the bagpipes in the background are about the coolest thing ever!
That’s awesome you’re collaborating with LMJ, one of my favorite creators. I’m always hesitant to fish ponds cause of getting in trouble lol. Also do you have any budget friendly recommendations on a creek rod and reel for pan/bass fishing?
In his video prior he did a budget Walmart rod/reel purchase.
@@leoveroude4492 I watch that video, but more suggestions and cheaper options never hurt.
looks like a great spot for fly rod small top water poppers on top for them big bluegill. no trees behind you at water line. easy place to use one.

Yeah I wish more courses would allow fishing. I wouldn't mind paying the range fee.
Golf course ponds are my roots. Great episode John
Man, what a awesome place to fish and a awesome golf course at that.
Larry must know someone to let you two fish at that particular course.
So jealous!
It's like B-Lat just dropped you off on private water!
what an awesome place...
This is awesome love fishing places like this!
You should come up to Carollton, KY and fish the Little KY river. It’s more of a creek. It’s so great to fish. Small mouth and rock bass everywhere.
Fun and entertaining video buddy 👍 😀
I love the fishing but part of me also just.. wants to jump in and go swimming lmao.

Dude, why do you feel the need to lie? The state record Pennsylvania largemouth is 11 lb. 3 oz. You caught a 15 pounder lol!
That was a beautiful place nice video
Is that Ross Bridge in Birmingham, AL??
You got it.
Love pond fishing
Great timing, I just got kicked out of a golf course😂
haha, that stinks
@@CreekFishingAdventures sure did but, he was a nice guy at least
Which polarized glasses do you use?
Nice one! I have been to that course, next time gonna have to sneak in a rod.
Cool!
The collab we needed
When I was a kid my buddy and me used to fish this really large golf course pond and stayed fishing until we got run off.😂
Wow you had a slabathon at the end! How do you like your Dobyns?
I know of a pond in ooltewah that has some monster hybrids 😉
Cool looking place. Should’ve got in nine holes to.
I've been killing it in Storm Water Retention Ponds lately. Caught 6 bass in the one by a Hilton Hotel, 9 behind a Best Buy and 18 in the Costco parking lot. Thiese fish have never seen lures.
thats the perfect places to go
love the 'pipes. a rare feature on the channel...
yes we need more of that
Now that was a good time

Jon it sounds to me like you were overthinking things. Just enjoy the fishing experience. Enjoyed the video!
They seem nicer on the golf courses there than they are in New Jersey. Everytime I tried to fish a golf course got chased off or asked to leave. 🤣
Sweet day!
What model Dobyns fury is that? First time I’ve noticed you fishin with it. Was interested in those rods a while back. Cool video looked like an awesome area to explore
the 6-6 light, it is a great multispecies style rod
WOAH Awesome collab!!!!
more pond fishing for sure
Ok i see you switched to bait casters for bass fishing i rememeber your first try on a lews bait caster and u hit your pb
thats right, i havent caught any that big but have been getting much better with bait casters
Green sunfish don’t really get stocked places, they get stuck in ducks and geese feathers/legs and get stocked naturally. Here in Arkansas you can find them in ponds out in the middle of state lands that have never been stocked. Not the last century at least 😂
I'm enjoying the video in Korea🐟
Guy knocking these perch out by the way u let them go 😂😂😂😂
Nearest golf courses where I'm at Coeur d'Alene golf course everybody knows about that one, but as for a couple of other lakes the golfers get a little pissed off for some reason when you're over
Man, those bagpipes would make my day! They send chills
i can say i have never fished with bagpipes playing before
Awesome video brother!
COPPERNOSE bluegill have FOREHEADS😂😂 The one you said "OH MAN , HOW ROUND !" That was a COPPERNOSE
you may not like the ultra light stuff micro spinning but fish 🎣 like that feel huge.

Is this later in the evening?
I think they play the pipes at around dusk, so the end of the video is probably 6:30 or 7:00.
yes it was
One of my biggest lg mouth bass came from cemetery pond the next biggest was in a golf course pond
bag pipes play catches fish that's great. 🤠
I always got ran off. They'd prohibited fishing there apparently but had no signs.
I don't understand why you left the one hole quickly after you caught the one and only bass, which is different from the Sunfish..odd..
I have fished ponds on golf courses pretty cool you could Literally see the bass in the water Protecting their eggs or house 🏠 😅
Bro I didn’t know you where from bowling green, I live in Scottsville!!
man i would be scared to fish at a golf course for fear of flying golf balls hitting me in the head
That is always a possibility
I'm actually thinking of starting my own fishing channel but I need a to get go pros
start with a phone camera
Phone doesn't have space and is cracked sadly lol
Or I would
@@CreekFishingAdventures I am going to the phone store tomorrow or the day after
Would you share what lure you’re using , and where can I get it ? Love your vids, 👍
You just never know what you're going to find. It's all part of the adventure.

Jon,golf courses can hold monster fish.
Pond fishin spoil a feller . Quick ! 😉
thats true
Lake looks fairly new to be holding big bass. Give it 5 years it will have some pigs I bet
They come on the legs and feet of cranes and other birds as well as cattle egrets

How do you get permission to fish in golf course ponds? None where I live allow fishing.
22:20 Red Breast Sunfish
The comment below has some bad grammar. i was talking about the Berkley Gulp 1 inch grubs
I am shocked that any golf course would let you on their property for free!
this guy is so underrated prob better the fishing with norm
You should raise a pet smallmouth for us, using micro lures
Bagpipes always make me think of shotguns. I wonder why? :D
I'm surprised that they let you fish there. Unless you had to get permission first.
Bluegill was a copper nose btw
Did they say y’all cannot keep any them bluegills to take home and eat them
