06:11 Homebase Configuration 07:35 Camera Configuration 09:54 Camera Mounting 12:56 Configuration with Synology NAS surveillance station NAS configuration was really helpful, thanks! I'll be trying this with the QNAP equivalent, although I hope it does not keep the camera active at all times.
Thank you for this video. Following your video I sucessfully conneceted my first Eufy to Snynology. Looking forwrard to connecting 2 more. Thanks again
Thanks! That helped a lot. do you know if it’s possible to stream the live view ONLY through synology camera so that you cannot view it on the camera app? Of course the only thing I have in mind is additional safety
Thinking Synology NAS directly should be able to talk to the Homebase I disabled internet access to homebase from my router to see what happens. Unfortunately it seems w/o internet connection even the NAS can't talk to homebase, which is very weird. So with my very limited test, I must say, to me it seems impossible to stream the live view ONLY through Synology DS Cam. Hope it helps.
Hi. I am not sure if I understand it right: So can you still access the camera via Eufy app and it is at the same time constantly recording to the NAS? Or do you have to use the surveillance station App to access the camera from the point of the setup on? I am asking because I like the Eufy app but want the cameras to record to my Synology (right now I can only view and not record).
Hi there, thanks for the in depth review. If you didn't set up the Synology NAS surveillance station, would the data not be saved? What are the pros/cons of Synology NAS surveillance station?
Hi Rlly helpful and focused video. Just 1 Qn - I see a usb at the back of the home-base. Can I connect a flash drive or a external SSD to work as expandable storage rather than a NAS?
Two questions. Does the person detection still work when RTSP is enabled because it does not on my Wyze cameras that I might want to replace with the Eufy cameras? Second question is how is the camera battery life when you have constant streaming recording to your NAS storage? Have you tried this or do you have event only recording enabled? Thank you in advance and great video!
@@bangals32 I don't know Apple Alexa Siri stuff I don't use them. If you add them as described (so don't use Alexa n'stuff) & add them without any 3rd party disruptions it works fine. Just do exactly as it says in the 'how to' install vid. No problems.
Why buy the 2C Pros if you're intending to use NAS? Eufy doesn't support 2K on NAS, it reverts to 1080p, so you've spent an extra few hundred bucks to get your cameras which will now only record exactly the same way the 2C standard do (HD only).
It's just an added option to integrate (say) multiple camera systems by multiple vendors in either in a NAS or home-assistant etc. You don't have to use it per-se, and the default app is still fully functional, even if you're adding RTSP stream to the NAS

Mr Mario good you help me to open app eufy
Thank you for this video. I was unable to get the stream to work. Followed your suggestion and toggling it off and back n and it seemed to work fine!

So you need a homebase to add the cameras to surveillance stations?

I agree with you that wish everything would hurry up and convert to usb c.

Hi Christy, thanks. Unfortunately no, afaik, it's there only to charge the camera modules.
Does the eufySecurity app support 2FA?

Yes. Both of the systems are independent to each other. You battery does take a slight hit though, from what I've seen so far
So just to be clear, the Eufy cam will still work with the app but will also record to the NAS at the same time?
Yep. Both will work in parallel.
@@RkaiserTalks thank you!
How did you get 5 Cameras to connect to a single Homebase?
? They can take up to a maximum of 16. Are cameras in wifi range?
The cameras where added via Apple “Home” app and when attempting to add a 5th camera the Homebase 2 states it can only hold a maximum of 4 devices.

where do i get the synology program for the pc ? also i am using to eufy outdoor cam which does not use a home base ..
It has to have a homebase to be able to connect to Synology NAS.
How lens quality after 3 month , its not blurry or something sun 🌞 effect
Lens quality is still top notch. No complaints about the quality and battery life tbh. Pretty fantastic package imho
