Had to do the same quick finger repair last week to the same finger. Wrap in a baby wipe held on with black insulation tape after giving it a good spray with antiseptic and back to work no stitches required this time.

I have a machine shop and I’m always cutting my fingers/Hands ,so clean it with Cotten swab a peroxide when it’s dry I put super glue gel over the cut ,then hit it with the catalyst so it hardens up and it burns like hell for couple seconds .then I sand it down with 600 grit and your good to go a few days later super glue falls off .
Love the electrical tape MAN-DAID. No waste on the plasma table, too cool!!
