I love those old service stations. The restaurant building appeared to have a walk-up window. Some great antiques in that store. Love the old soda fountain, creepy mannequins and all.

My dream has always been to travel all over and explore creepy old abandoned motels ,cemeteries , theaters. Gas stations etc. I have this thing for staying in real old motels when we travel. I think they’re pretty cool Just something about them. Anyway Dan. Watching you I’m living my dream. We have so many of the same interests .. I feel at home watching your videos. Thank you !!

my mom and cousin took me to see the freedom 7 capsule and spirit of saint louis in the summer of 1973. i had just turned eight. i think back then this thing was hanging from the ceiling as well. it only being a replica, i guess i see where it could get rotated out.. but a good representation of the first moments in motorized flight.

Someone ought to tell a few yappy RUclipsrs out there about this important part of communication.

This is amazing! The VA scenes give me something to look for (though I've never seen that gas station in my drives down 95). Your voice also is perfect for NPR, as it is so calm here.
