Hocotate is similarly pronounced the way it's written there too, ホコタテ (ho-ko-ta-te), which... also just makes sense since that's the way you pronounce the name of the road it was named after

@@williamhuynh869 Kind of like how PS3 was powerful, but due to the architecture or other things, it was hard to develop for. Also that other things in the hardware can hinder the gpu's actual power.

This was my first pikmin and I LOVED it. I remember playing with the Gamepad controls (the touch controls because I thought theres no other gamepad controls) but I recently replayed and used the Wii Remote and Nunchuk and all I could think was "How the Hell was I able to put up with the Gamepad controls?"

The only problem with making every character an alternative costume for Olimar is that all of them _except_ Alf (which is why he's already in Smash) have different body shapes to Olimar. Unless you want enemy attacks clipping through their models or not even reaching their models, you'd have to change their hurtboxes and by that point they'd have to be echo fighters at least. And having several echo fighters for one character would be weird.

Well, the Purple and White Pikmin _could_ have Onions. We've never seen them. They don't have to be subterranean.
How exactly are they mutant variants? You get them from Candypop Buds, just like every other Pikmin type. Never played 2, but even if the game explicitly says they don't have an Onion, a mutant species could eventually develop one. I'm basically saying it's not impossible to see the White and Purple Pikmin above ground, and with an Onion of their own, in a future game.
@Tom The Fish Who says they don't have their own Onion? Other types of Candypop buds can turn Pikmin into reds or blues but they have their own Onions.
For all we know the captains could just not have discovered their Onions yet.

@@odie-wankenodie8607 same. I was severely disappointed with 3 because it's a tiny game. I think it may be an issue with the port to Switch, I dunno, but the pikmin are all dumb as hell. Pikmin 2 was a big ass game and was a lot of fun throughout. The third... I just didn't feel it. I still play it after completion just because I'd like to 100% it on story mode at least, and wanted to see what normal and ultra-spicy difficulty are like - the latter of which was... too easy even with only 60 pikmin. Day 15 and on final area. Damn, the game is tiny, and I bought it for around £45 or so. I find that ridiculous.

Fun fact: Pikmin 4 is out.
One thing I love about PIkmin 3 is how it handles the day limit. The fact that how stressed you have to be about finding fruit is based on how much fruit you've already found is a great balancing act for when you're getting the hang of the game & seeing how many juice containers you have at the end can make for a fun sort of competition among fellow Pikmin fans. Pikmin 2 having no day limit was weird & even knowing how easy it can be to actually get all 30 ship parts doesn't change the fact that when I first played Pikmin 1, elementary/middle school (I forget which) me couldn't mentally handle the pressure. So managing my own time limit is just a really cool way of doing it.
