    Awesome video Ford Sensei. The chair as a shield made me think of a real world application of the Okinawan Tinbei.

    Great video, it's fun and enlightening to see interviews with instructors I used to read about in Black Belt magazine throughout the 80s. The chair idea is fantastic and something I will have to explore. In regards to the wrestling 2 on 1 or Russian tie, I have always found it to be a secure transition rather than a static position. I like to use it for a quick takedown before the knife switches hands. Being that every circumstance is unique, I can understand the reluctance to stay in that position. Anyway, thanks for the great series.

    Burton Richardson is a talented teacher. That being said, a couple constructive observations: in JKD, the title is Sifu, not Guro. Also, JKD is primarily concerned with unarmed combat, but the seminar footage was mostly armed Kali techniques. Finally, the interview focused on BJJ, Kali, and Silat, not JKD.

    Do you have plans to interview grandmaster Robert Redfeather? And guro Daniel Inosanto?

    • @SenseiFord
      @SenseiFord  4 года назад

      Robert Redfeather is a friend and an interview with him is quite possible. I'd love to interview Guro Dan, if he’d be willing.

    It seems more misrepresentation of JKD (too bad Lee did not trademark the name) of what JKD is.
