Man he is the most Underrated WR of all time. How does a finalist for 5 years straight not make it??? The fact they put Andre Johnson in over him and devin Hester is straight up absurd. And the thing is he's an even better human being. He actually cares about his fans. He's a great dude. He's done things not even Jerry Rice has done football wise. He should've been a first ballout HOF in my opinion
Andre Johnson was a great player, and deserves to be in Canton. But it was absolutely 💯 percent total BS that he got in before Torry! 🙄💩👎 Their numbers are nearly identical. Holt actually had more career tuddies while playing fewer seasons, won a Super Bowl, and played in another. I believe Johnson waited three years; Holt has waited ten. No idea what the hell the voters were thinking on that one!?! 🤦♂️ Torry Holt is a Hall of Famer. He has waited far too long!
@@greatestshow99 exactly brotha. Exactly. I think they legit did that because they wanted a first Texan hofer instead of someone who played for St Louis who NFL hates and had to pay over 800 million to the city (which as a resident idk where that money went it completely disappeared!!!)
It’s probably due to having played on bad teams for the majority of his career. Yes, he’s got a ring and a second super bowl performance, but the majority of his playing career, his teams record was usually sub 500. Further, he doesn’t have that much of a flashing personality, no quotable press conferences, no notable social media and his most iconic play is overshadowed by Dyson being a yard short. These are absolutely no flaws and shouldn’t be held detrimental towards him, it’s just an attempt at explaining why Johnson got more attention than him. He absolutely deserves to be in the HOF.
TRUTH. I'm an Eagles fan, and London Fletcher haunted the eagles as a Redskin and a Ram for so long. The impact, and stats he put up for such a long time should've made him a LOCK
I got to say looking back growing up in St. Louis getting to witness the greatest show on turf was underappreciated. I'm a Raiders fan from my dad but we live here so we watched the Rams and that shit was legendary man you had to be there
My theory as to why he’s not in yet is because the Rams of that era alrealy have so much representation in there. This is a big factor as to why it took so long for Jerry Kramer to get in and why Jim Marshall still isn't.
That's likely. Another aspect of all this is that just like fans, NFL players too under-rate the WR position. Look at Warner's #s without élite WRs. Night & day. 3 QBs who were nowhere near the MVP discussion without him won it with Jerry Rice. Brady's highest QB total the years surrounding Moss was 28. The only year with them both healthy he has 50, 23 of them to Moss. Ever hear of a QB who elevated a team to +23 TDs let alone One Receiver? How high an élite WR elevates a QB is greater than the reverse, always has been.
Growing up in STL i was a Colt's fan but i always kept up on the Rams and their epic history. Since i could never touch my toes stretching for football, i would always say Torry Holt could touch his toes either and he had could go for 16000 in a season. The coaches loved that smart ass excuse 😂 i eventually touched my toes once or twice lol.
Well done video. Torry Holt not being in the HoF yet is a travesty. I think another strike against him that I would add in addition to all the points mentioned in the video is that I feel like recency bias plays a part in it too. Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson, while both having HoF careers in their own rights, had careers that were fresher in a lot of voters' minds than Torry Holt since they were a bit more recent. And since they have that goofy rule of "only one player at a position per year," that logjam is only going to grow at the position.
only guy ever with 6 straight 1300 yard years, 6 straight 90+ rec years fastest guy ever to 10k and 11k yards. That alone should've made him a hofer imo FIRST BALLOT hofer
Glad to have met him and asked a question with him at the 2017 NFL draft in Philadelphia. I got a picture to prove it too. It was awesome.

Also from the Rams, London Fletcher is a HOF snub.

Man I’m hoping Holt makes it soon. He has become so underrated which is crazy to me.
Bricked up watching this baby

Henry Ellard has an interesting case too, but it’s been an eternity since he’s been eligible so idk if he ever gets in.
@@brickwallblitz Fun fact Henry Ellard was rams wr coach when holt and Bruce played!

Worst part is holt was the best on the team
@@boook4145 exactly. In my opinion Holt should've been a first ballot Hall of famer
Torry Holt put up All Pro numbers on a team that featured Issac Bruce, Kurt Warner, and Marshall Faulk.
Just found your channel 2day and binged it. Youre a hidden gem whos bound 2 blow imo.
I know I'm biased but why the hell isnt Antonio gates first ballot
Yeah no excuse for him to have not gotten first ballot.
My man Rod Smith been snubbed too
Has any UDFA WR ever gotten in the HOF? Smith really has a career that's close.
Awesome video keep posting!!
Babe wake up. New brickwallblitz video

Holt was better than both johnsons and i will die on a hill defending that lmao

Also most receptions and yards in a decade. Not just 2000s decade take ANY 10 year span and he has the most
Also you left out his sb 34 performance was the most ever from a rookie
You might be on to something here you should do more players who aren’t in the HOF
He was a faster jerry rice...not a route he can't run not a corner can watch him in his era
Sean Taylor deserves to be in the hall
No what are u on
He should have gotten in this year. That “Committee” doesn’t know ball
I like your videos but please tone it down with the color effects/text when showing gameplay. More gameplay the better.
