    These grinders seem to be sold under a number of different brand names and have a variety of configurations. I recently purchased a non branded model, it has the dimensions of the Timemore C3, but is also of completely metal construction including the lid to the bean hopper and a wooden knob on the grinder arm. The only thing it doesn't have is the upgraded burr set.

    Ha, so yours also grinds metal against metal even at 2 clicks. I was wondering if this was normal on my C3S and it seems it is. It only spins freely starting from 3 clicks, but considering espresso size is 7-8 clicks this should be perfectly fine.

    Bro, when the grinder arrives, do we have to wash it before using it for the first time?

      No need to wash. You need to season it, meaning grind your old beans before using your new beans.

    Idk why, but my grinder has a second one of those little nuts, like the one you put in right before the spring. For the life of me, I cannot figure out where it should go. No video on RUclips shows more than one. Any ideas?

      Any luck finding where that second nut goes? I just got mine and I can’t figure it out either.

      @@thesamekidagainable Unfortunately not. I put it towards the top on the grinder, before sliding the rod through the middle, but it seems to make the lid not sit perfectly flush. I can't remember if this was the case to begin with or not anymore. Regardless, it still grinds the beans just fine, but I wish I knew for sure where it should go.

      If you are referring to the 2 washers, look closely and they are different. One has a recess that fits into the flange on the shaft towards the handle. It's kind of hard to explain. It goes on first before you slide the axle into the grinder body and sits against the top bearing.

    My instructions say never wash with water, is that true, i should only use the brush?

    • @HomeBaristaCorner
      @HomeBaristaCorner  9 месяцев назад

      All grinder should never wash with any liquid. It will damage the burr with rust. Use brush, cloth or vaccuum.
