POV: Brewing and Steaming at the Same Time | Lelit MaraX | Morning Oat Milk Mocha
POV: It's a cozy morning, and you're making an oat milk mocha at home.
The kitchen fills with the rich aroma of freshly brewed espresso. You steam the oat milk, its creamy texture perfect for blending with the decadent dark chocolate waiting in your mug. You pour the espresso over the chocolate, watching it swirl into a deep, velvety mix before topping it with the silky oat milk. The first sip warms your hands and soul, the perfect balance of bittersweet chocolate and smooth coffee with a subtle nutty hint from the oat milk. It's a small moment of luxury to start your day. Merry Christmas!

Since every coffee bean has unique characteristics, adjusting variables like grind size, water temperature, brew time, and coffee-to-water ratio is essential for optimal results. The Breville Bambino Plus has an automatic milk frothing system that allows you to select between different texture and temperature settings for milk steaming. While there isn't a specific "ideal" temperature, most baristas and experts agree that milk for espresso-based drinks like lattes and cappuccinos should be steamed to a temperature range between 60°C and 65°C (140°F and 149°F). can you show making a full cup instead? 😊
awesome guide, thanks. just got the bambino plus and waiting on my grinder in the mail (df54.) can't wait to make some tasty lattes at home
My shots come out so quick! Usually around 15 seconds. Any way how to fix that?
Shes z real beaut so for the love of everything holy I hope you used a luck screen too. Cleaning a mucky head on a white machine will be a real mess. It'll only cost 10-20GBP at most and is so worth it for my sanity. You can thank me later 😅
Hello po anong size po ng dosing funnel. Thanks
Can I make this with Arabica coffee ?
@@johnjoyner8172 yes, any will do
Thank you 🙏🏻
This was very helpful thank you!
Is it still hot enough to make 2 lattes back to back?
@@YukonDoan yes, temperature is not a question but how strong the steam pressure. I made 4 latte back to back in a separate video. No issues (link below). ruclips.net/video/MCmlfZ_wE4o/видео.html
@ sweet. Im still deciding between the Mara X or go straight to Bianca. You thinking of upgrading to Bianca later on?
@@YukonDoan if you're interested in pressure profile and stable steam pressure, the Bianca
Ah pwede po pala sabay brewing and steaming sa MaraX. Akala ko one at a time lang siya.
@SoloFlightPinay Hi Kabayan! Any heat exchanger machine can do it like MaraX. We just need to know when is the right time (wait for the strong steam pressure). I did a separate video about this (link below) ruclips.net/video/qFJaUXsjBio/видео.html
@HomeBaristaCorner will watch! Considering upgrading to this machine when the time comes hehe. Thank you!
i buy bambino. my espresso keep sour. i use dark roast
@@Miekel-p7l Please use freshly roasted beans and a good grinder for espresso (I will not recommend pre-ground coffee). Warm up the portafilter always (when you touch it, you will get burn, that's how hot should be). Start to dial-in/calibrate the machine with a recipe like 18g in, 36g out in 25-30secs.
Sweet! MaraX on brew or steam mode?
Steam mode
Great work! Looking forward for your next videos!
Fantastic video. Now I just need to spend thousands of dollars and scores of hours learning this beautiful art to make a perfect shot. No thanks. But it was nice to watch you.
Excellent tutorial my friend. Thank you ☕️
Great walkthrough. Salamat
You just sold me on the Plus. This is my exact use case and my focus is on speed and simplicity for those without a ton of patience. Thank you for making this video.
Thanks for this clear review. It was very helpful and interesting!
Hi. Inside the kettle there was a tiny plastic ring, are we supposed to remove it?
what portafilter are you using?
IAM basket shows channeling. Stock basket flows water through all wholes. I think stock is better
This is a lengthy workflow that involves you having to put the portafilter in the machine 3 different times, plus dirtying 2 other dishes. This can be simplified, especially with cleaning the portafilter as that can be done under a sink
@@Jordan-rb28 The first time portafilter inserted to the group head is warming up (plus the latte cup) because this particular model doesn't heat up the portafilter. You need to keep this hot to stabilize the brewing temperature. The second one is pulling your shot. The third one is cleaning thru hot water becauae you need to keep the portafilter hot again for the next espresso shot/drinks. Bambino Plus has small capacity drip tray that can easily get full so I'm using a milk jug to catch the water. Hope this helps. Cheers!
@HomeBaristaCorner if you're pulling multiple shots in succession, okay, but if not that's silly. I feel like beginners are not doing that. Also, cleaning it by running it again? How could you get grounds stuck in the basket holes out??
@@Jordan-rb28 I'm not here to compete what is better. You can do whatever is more efficient for you. Just take note that not all coffee bar at home are near the sink. Cheers!
the whole idea of expectation vs reality is to show the opposite to expectation. It should have been you pulling a shit shot and and doing crap latter art
Where can I buy that dedicated group head brush (orange portafilter)
@@sunshao1 available in Amazon
@ can you share the link or name? I was trying to find it online on Amazon.
@@sunshao1 ok, try Aliexpress I just found this on AliExpress: SG$7.11 | Coffee Machine Brush Cleaner Coffee Maker Espresso Group Head Cleaning Round Brushes Grinder Cleaning Tools Supplies a.aliexpress.com/_oC8kOjV
Nice video! Recently I got the DF64 Gen2 with similar Breville setup like yours. Mind if I ask why you adjust the grinder settings with grinder running? Any specific reason for that? Thanks!
@@troysong33 some coffee grounds maybe stuck on those flat burrs so I turn it on while I change the grind size.
Which leveler are you using? Matches perfectly
From MHW3-Bomber
can you please tell me if you have to wait 26 minutes everytime before you can start brewing?
@@ts1881x 20 to 30mins is the standard warm up time for most of prosumer machines E61 type. Same in a cafe. The workaround for this is to attach a smart plug so you can schedule it in the morning or turn on/off remotely using your phone. I have a separate video for this, check it out ruclips.net/video/wLFUcgyHaSg/видео.html
I didn't know that hit exchanger's boiler able to steam, and without loosing pressure and temperature brew through the portafilter....
What scale are you using and do you like it? Trying to find a decent one.
You didn't say if that was an automatic expresso pull or manual
It's a programmed shot (auto)
How many oz is that cup?!!!
@@shalooom 250ml latte cup
Can you link the item that the distributor and tamper test on on top of the machine? Looking for something exactly like this!
@@cchai1 tamper is from Solis, distributor from Normcore. Both for 54mm portafilter
@ Thanks! What about the little mat they are on?
@@cchai1 the mat has no brand but you can find them in Amazon
@ no worries! Is it silicone or another material?
Hi love the videos as I just got a bambino plus! Can you list the tools that you use?
whoever taught you this was doing this to be more like an espresso shot...this is not how you make a regular cup of Vietnamese coffee AT ALL. I goto Viet restaurants all the time and they serve Vietnamese coffee with a ratio/yield larger than this. I have also been making Vietnamese coffee at home for 10 years---this is not the right yield. It's too small--trust me.
Went to Vietnam to learn phin coffee (phin coffee class). The recipe is from a respected Vietnamese barista, . The ratio, grind size and how to use the phin is from them. You can double the recipe if you want more, larger phin filter. The one that was used in a coffee shop is huge phin filter. Of course, you make your own, whatever ratio you want. Cheers!
Beginner?
hi what is the setting for the expresso grind size? because i tried few times but couldn't get it right
Nicee. Same setup as yours, barista pro, except I got a gen 2 version 3. Still learning
Just purchased the bambino plus. Cant seem to turn the portafilter to reach 6 o'clock position. It stops at like 7 o'clock. Is this the reason why coffee is either not coming out or only coming out from 1 spout?
@@ctyl2701 normal for new machine, not 6 o'clock. It will soon.
I think my heat sensor is broken, my milk gets up to 195 degrees farenheit and then it spills foamed milk everywhere. I've tried wiping down both the cup and sensor but it still gets way too hot. Any suggestions?
If you fit the shower screen as well it will be better.
Dude, stop twisting tools. It's bad for the puck.
what ur temperature blank shot i only got max 60degree
What is ur temperature espreso. My bambino only 50 degree. It keep sour
I think this guy might like coffee
Good video, I love my bambino plus and have owed one for years. 2 items I leaned recently is the manual shot option and how to get how water from the machine by pressing the milk thoam level and single cup button which blew my mind.
After cleaning the tip steam wand on my Bambino Plus, I found a small loose ferrule (1/2 in length-1/16 in. width) inside the tip steam wand. Is this a part from the main wand or a dislodged part of the tip steam wand itself?
What is the “mat” for the top of machine? Thks
leaving that airscape open gave me anxiety 😂
@@gotromen1 i agree 🙂. Usually during my dialing-in session, i keep it open. Sometimes I dial up to 4x and I don't want to open/close the container repeatly to speed up. Cheers!
I was doing exactly the same thing this afternoon. Am trying out a new bean from the roasters at the end of my road. They hook me up with all the things they're experimenting with 🎉
Good job buddy, nice setup. 💯
