Imagine being the parent to just send their child on its way to a strange hot dog man’s house in a thunderstorm
That sounds like an very interesting story 😂
the todds are so independent they walk themselves to daycare ❤
Sounds normal
Sounds like real life 😂
not strange here in Sweden and Denmark, parents can leave their kids in the strollers literally outside a coffee shop while you are inside with your friends , nothing happens to them, I worked in daycare and parents would tell their toddlers to get out of the car and go inside the daycare
As someone who worked in a daycare with 10 toddlers or 8 infants a day for years , chaos and coworkers not helping like they should is always gonna happen, it’s just about how you handle it all. 😂
exactly what I was thinking but my ratio is 1;4 infants, 1;10 toddlers but usually we always get more and no one ever hops over to help
I work at one rn but in the kitchen. Ofc there’s times when I have to go in a watch a class for abt 10 minutes at most. Safe to say I never want a class of my own and if they say comes maybe infants bc we only ever have two
@@cleverusername7241 wow 1;10?!??? Mine is 1:5 toddlers I would jump of a bridge if I had to take care of all my toddlers alone lollll
You know, I was thinking to myself before I read comments "It's a good thing this isn't realistic." Then I thought "you know what, toddlers running amok and having too few people to handle it..yeah, no, that's accurate. lol When I did daycare we had state regs set at 1:4 infants, 1:5 toddlers (2-3yo), and 1:10 preschool/pre-k (4-5yo). So glad to be outta there.
@@lashh. yea it’s a gym daycare which could be the reason the ages are mixed so infants are 6weeks to 1 and toddlers are 1 and walking to 4 🥴 it’s not to bad tho the kids are chill the parents however are wild
I used to work at a children's party place and it was exactly like this 😂 When we did not have activities, everyone was screaming, randomly dancing, spilling juice and water everywhere and it's quite difficult trying to make 15 kids play one game at the same time, even dressed as Minnie Mouse 😂 One time a kid JUMPED head down from a 1.5m high slide and I saw him falling with the corner of my eye, jumped over a table and caught him mid-air. I couldn't even begin to explain the silence in the room when everyone realized what happened and my boss gave me a break right then and there bcs she thought I might break down 😂 It was really hectic!!!
We're you dressed as Minnie Mouse when you made the catch? Because that's what I'm picturing.
This is the level of chaos at all children's parties! I have anxiety just being invited to one with my kids 😂
My favorite part of this is that LilSimsie refers to nearly all the kiddos as "it." Where's the infant? "Surely they wouldn't just leave it somewhere out here, right?" :)
"Look it's potty training itself!"
As an English learner I thought you could refer to children as 'it' for the longest time 😂 Didn't help that in my language, the grammatical gender of the word 'child' is neuter, which is the equivalent of 'it' haha
They should’ve put daycares in the growing together pack
Edit: I think another cool feature could’ve been babysitting. I know they have stay overs but I mean more like for teens as a job. Based on how well a teen does at babysitting their siblings or a neighbors child, they will have a chance at getting quirks. Such as ones that will help them to be a better parent or even a sentiment that makes them not want to have kids at all. Another hidden negative sentiment can be jealousy of their own child. It could be achieved from when a sim that grew up poor (or unloved), has kids when their rich.
facts
For reall
Yeah that pack is lacking imo
YES
Y’all say this with every pack.
We should've gotten this career in Growing Together. ESPECIALLY since they hired the original creator. Sheesh.
Yes! Yes! Thank you👍... It's fun, like running a Vet Clinic or a restaurant. I appreciate the video but I don't like using Mods personally because they slow my computer down.
And Pet Sitting too! I am not taking my Sims' pets to the Jungle again on vacation 😬
The same creator also made the preteen mod so that totally could have been included in either High School Years or Growing Together also 😭
@@starstruck_sims I would love preteens. Sims 4 teenagers look so much like adults.
@@raea3588 yes now it feels even weirder than before, with the very gradual newborn, infant, toddler, child state then suddenly teenager looking like 16 at least.
The scariest thing about the daycare mod is not the children it’s Stanley not being a hotdog
I agree 😂
He's cute/handsome tho w/out the suit.
@@MarishkaVladimirescu🤨
As someone who works in Early Years irl this is VERY accurate, the kids just running about causing chaos, other adults (sometimes) not being the most helpful haha
i would love to see an updated careers pack. there’s so many new and fun career paths i’d love to see in the sims
Get to work 2 but its not broken lol
“People who work in childcare are superheroes and should be paid as much.” As the daughter of an ECE (Early Childhood Educator) I completely agree. My poor mother works her ass off for pennies, but she’s never seen herself doing anything else
I wholeheartedly agree! My mother was a preschool teacher for many years, and the amount of work she put in, for practically minimum wage, was insane. All of the lesson planning, preparations, supplies, care, and attention was more than most people can fathom. The physicality of it was also brutal.
She cared about all of those children immensely, and went above and beyond to help them excel in all areas of development, and she succeeded in doing so. I used to go with her to work at times, such as when I had days off of school, and I adored helping with all of the children, but also saw first hand just how hard she worked.
It is not for the faint of heart! You have to be passionate about that line of work to have that as a chosen career, because the time and pay certainly does not match the effort, knowledge, and expertise necessary.
It was my mother’s most favorite job she ever had, but she was unable to continue after doing it for many years due to unforeseen life changes that prevented her from working for quite awhile. By the time she could go back to work, the physicality of the job was no longer something she could take on. She still has and uses all the gifts she got from students over the years, and remembers the student who gave each one to her, even though it was 20+ years ago now.
I have so much respect for anyone in that line of work. They don’t get anywhere close to the level of credit, praise or compensation that they so well deserve.
May God bless your mother for all she has done and all of the lives I’m sure she has touched and helped shape.
as a daycare teacher i gotta say that the stress levels from being outnumbered by toddlers is VERY real 😂
I agree! 😅
Same I worked at a daycare for 4 years. The stress I work at a doggy daycare now less stressful 🤣
7:28 “It makes me laugh how the other teachers don’t do anything. They just sit in here and talk.” WELCOME TO MY WORLD! 😂😂😂
but I gotta learn the juciest parent gossip. She can handle lil jimmy trying to run through a wall for 5 minutes...
if they ever do another pack refresh id love for them to do toddler stuff and add a new active daycare career, since we've seen it's possible (paranormal)
I worked in a daycare for like 3 years and this is literally what it feels like. This is a perfect depiction of what a day as a daycare teacher is like.
Omg yes I would love to see you play through the career!! You could have one of your legacy sims be a daycare teacher! That would be so cute 🥹🥺
The favourite part of my day is watching lil simsie!
As a former daycare worker, summer camp counselor and teacher, the accuracy of this mod and Simsie's comments are spot on. We don't take care of our needs, we are outnumbered by tiny children everyday, it is all fun and games until a kid tried to run away. We ARE superheroes who need to be paid what we're worth but we aren't. It is a fun time but super stressful and exhausting.
As a preschool and now toddler teacher, I’d just like to say welcome to childcare. 😂 This is definitely real life.
I literally had the coworkers just chatting while I took care of all the kids day the other day… 😅
this is actually amazing because how many times do we have trouble finding friends for our kids. this way they get friends even as infants
Dang, this is one of the best developed career mods I've seen. It could totally be an official release
as a current daycare teacher and a early childhood education major i love this career and wish they would make a elementary/daycare pack like high school years…
Yes, please play the daycare mod on stream! Also, as an Early Childhood professional, thank you for advocating for us! Childcare workers are superheroes and our pay should reflect that status. Thanks again for your kindness, Kayla!! ❤❤❤
Why isn’t there an actual daycare career? Growing together was the perfect opportunity!!
Honestly watching your first day at the daycare career and you saying that it’s nearly the end of the day and it feels like we have got nothing done, that is literally how it realistically feels sometimes in proper daycare 😂(I work in a private nursery in Scotland so this video was so relatable) 😂
Kayla calling the children "it" is very funny to me 😭
“ im giving it food “ like im dying 😂😂😂
@@skeez8233Fellow Bakustan?
I don’t really play sims all that much, but recently, I’ve been watching all of your videos because it has hit that comfort video you watch to feel better for me, you are just so kind and amazing and you have really helped me out in this dark part of my life I have been in, so thank you, your videos have been exactly what I needed
Seeing Stanley without his hotdog costume is like seeing a turtle without its shell 😂
3:46 "Alright, im giving IT food"
ugh i worked in an at-home daycare for years when i was in high school/early college & i loved it 🥺
i’m gonna go call the woman i worked with and tell her how much i miss it 😢
this mod is so impressive, the coworkers are actually working
Kayla I loved that you said this mod seems better than an offical active career in TS4. FUN FACT: The original modder of this was actually hired by ea and that's why they couldnt continue with the amazing career mods they had!
I'm a nursery teacher....
So thank you for saying we deserve to be paided better because our work is harder than many people think
Omg I love this concept! I work at a daycare part time (during the college school year so not actually right now) and I think it would be so fun to actually be able to play it! I don’t know how it would actually work but when I buy university, it might be fun to download this and play as myself and play through my real life college experiences
This is actually what I like to do when I am playing the sims 4. But then I have to change everything when they age up and that throws it off so this is actually perfect!
It would be cute if you did a mini let’s play on RUclips for this career! Maybe you can play with Stanley and end up with one of the parents 😱
You should play this on steam one day.
I work in daycare and paused at 9 seconds into this video because I was cackling so hard. The chaossss ahahaha. I can relate to the constant chaos lmao 🥰
ur channel is such a safe space ty for being such an inclusive creator
stanley humphrey is my ideal babysitter
Toddlers: *out in a thunderstorm*
Stanley Humphrey: *HAPPY*
Ya gotta love him
This is so cool, I’m glad someone made a mod and put so much effort into it! I don’t know why EA didn’t add that in an update or game pack because I’m sure a lot of people missed playing as a daycare worker!
I’m going to download this tomorrow 😊
I love you’re videos sm! You’re literally amazing! Keep doing what your doing.
❤❤
Me - an early childhood educator - home from work sick watching Kayla freak out and try to do virtually what I do for a living irl lol
I love Kayla being scared and stressed by the thing I DO FOR EIGHT HOURS A DAY 😂😂
but yes this is all my thoughts in one day
As someone who’s worked in a daycare, this is honestly pretty accurate.
I work with kids and it is so exhausting both mentally and physically so it’s just fun for me to watch you do this video
You absolutely should do this for real!
I've always wanted to get this mod so I'm like glad you are doing a video on it! thank you!
Hell yeah, I'd love to see more of this!
It's been so interesting as a penny pincher that will not spend the money on the type of laptop required to even attempt to run mods or cc. I buy almost every new pack, which by the way IMHO y'all are way too negative towards kits. I've adored & fully used every one that I've bought except for the Courtyard Oasis. I want to give extra appreciation to Country Kitchen, maybe it's because I started w/ Sims 2 so now I'm becoming an old lady that I like it so much, but seriously $5 for those cozy, comforting items, completely worth it!
You should absolutely do this as a Twitch stream! This is so much fun! ❤
Looks like so much fun. I'm looking for for one of my SIMs to take care of her toddler nieces from three different households...this is not it but still so much fun to watch. I'm always blown away by these amazing mods.
It would be so fun if you did this for the legacy challenge after you finished the university story
As someone who works in a daycare, the chaos is pretty accurate.
This seems fun! I don't have time to play much these days, but I would love to watch other videos about this mod, either game play or building!
“People who work in child care are like superheroes, and deserve to be paid as such” I agree with the sentiment, but I had a realisation. Most superheroes don’t get paid for fighting crime as far as I know which is absolutely wild
I'm having so much anxiety just watching you! I can't believe being a doctor is so much easier than being a daycare worker! 😂
As a daycare teacher, (and lover of the sims!) I loved this video! Love the mod as well! Definitely going to download this one!
Also I would totally watch more of these videos of you making a daycare or playing career! I don’t watch streams often but put it on RUclips as well! I’d love that and I’m sure others would too!
I feel like this mod would benefit GREATLY from including the "Control Any Sim" mod, where you can use actions to control your co-workers, and then they can do stuff with the kids too so that you're not trying to do it all by yourself.
this would be so much fun to watch on stream
I used to work at a daycare. I floated from newborn to pre-k age. The newborn ratio was 3 babies to 1 teacher, but sometimes I’d have up to 5 by myself. It doesn’t seem so bad because newborns just sleep, right? WRONG. 🤣 when you have kids that can’t crawl, kids that can, kids that walk, kids that only take bottles but eat off the floor, etc. all in the same room…it was always chaos.
I’d LOVE to see you build an actual daycare! Or an at-home daycare, maybe in a basement?
"It all went well, although Stanley didnt take care of any of his needs whole day" - that sums up my work at the kindergarten so well 🙈
it´s pretty accurate
i think this is actually perfect to use combined with the duplex/townhouse build from last video!
i already have the duplex lot in my game and i was trying rlly hard to find a way to make the roommates function work with it but now i can just make the other half an at-home daycare :) my sim is a teacher rn anyways so i think it makes sense
this would be such a cute and fun stream idea, please do it!
Yes! I would love watching the full playthrough
I am glad I watched till the end. I was thinking it would be cool if children could be babysat as well. Glad to see children are a part of it! I definitely still did daycare for a good part of my younger childhood.
I would love to see you build a daycare and actually play the game on stream! Count me in, I'll be there!
Best mod everrrrr, loved that career in sims 3 as well!
I’d love a stream of you playing the full career. I say the off-site day care, as it has more levels! 😂
Ok I've been playing this all night... thanks for sharing!
you should DEFINETLY play more with this mod and build a daycaree❤
I’d love to see you build an at home daycare house.
i loved how the parents would drive to your home and drop off their babies in the sims 3. i played so many hrs in the sims 3 playing this career i loved it too. pls build a daycare i would love to try this mod :D
As a student teacher that’s worked in a preschool… this is way too accurate
you should definitely play more of this!! :)
I actually run a real home daycare. It was fun recreating me and my house and using this mod. Things get really crazy just like in the game! 😂😂🤣🤣
You should play this on a stream one day. I really enjoyed watching you play this. The chaos. 🤣
„If I can finish the whole day only by talking to coworkers and washing my hands I will be very happy“ if that isn‘t a mood for nearly every job irl 😂
LOVE YOU KAYLA!!!!! 💗💗💗
I am veryyyy on schedule hihihi
Simsie is getting me out of my boredom this summer
dunno who to trust less w/ the kids:
the hot dog man who notoriously gets money (by odd means) and loses it all constantly, or the parents who leave their kids (alone in a thunderstorm no less) with said man aakdnakkdnns
I wanna see more!!! cant wait to download 😆
This is what I do for a job and the similarities… accurate 🤣
Being the only one working while adults chat, this is so real
I work at a daycare and the being outnumbered part is so real
I work at a daycare and I can confirm this is exactly what it's like. 💀
I love that if you have laundry day installed you can put them in cloth diapers
this is such a good video kayla! i was obsessed with sims 3 daycare also and in my roleplay i have a sim going through college in child wellbeing and learning (mod i used i can’t remember who made it) who’s got some daddy’s money loan who will be running there own daycare! its so fun !!! ❤ (pin?)
This was so fun to watch, but also is my personal nightmare.
Currently taking care of triplets in my current playthrough and dear god I can't imagine the pain of taking care of more.
Yes yes yes! Build a daycare and play the career!
HI SIMSIE! Love your videos, would love for you to try playing “The tenants” I think it would be a really fun gameplay 😂😂😂
Ur vids make me so happy
I currently work as a daycare teacher with 12 12-18 month olds and it’s crazy at times but I love it lol
wow ive never been this early to a simsie upload!!!!
same haha
As a childcare worker, I would totally love to have this in game. That and also an active babysitting career for teens and above would've been reasonable with the newer pack. Until then, I'll totally want to get this mod😊
The fact that you get a kind of random number of kids every day feels extremely accurate.
Can we just take a moment to appriceate simsie? She posts every day, and she streams everyday except Sundays.❤
Lol i think you meant streams. Might wanna edit your comment. Typing sucks sometimes lol
@@studystuff5971Thanks I just realized it😂
i was just looking at this mod yesterday it’s so cool i get to see it in action by you!
so cute never played this career in sims 3 seems so cool
