Problem was nivram was Marvin spelt backwards ! Its the concesion he had to make to get it on a record in the first place .

I was a beginner on bass around the time of the Shads first album and yes , Nivram was super but it always annoyed me that generally , the bas would be non too prominent in the mix , therefore difficult to copy . Apart from which , bassist didn't warrant much attention anyway for some time yet .

Yes I agree same as BB King wasn’t a story teller, he was a musician…..possibly it’s an age thing lol
